downside. s&p down about 7. now let's take a listen to our sister network sky news, they are familiar to developments overnight. >> syrian territory close to the border with turkey. russian officials said that it never left the aerospace. depict for us turkey saying one thing and russia saying another. they had shot down a plane. they weren't sure what plane. syrians have russian planes. it then became the russians admitted it was a russian plane. the plane did not into air space. the entire of the mission they insisted was flying in space.

this plane entered turkish repeatedly as russian have done in the past but it was intercepted, if-16 fighters were scrambled. they intersected the plane. have no response, the turks say it was warninged 10 times, ten messages and it was shot down. from what we've seen from turkish television pictures, you can see it's flying very high, clear blue sky in the skies over syria or turkey, you can really troubled and made its way through the sky. at some point you see a couple of white dots which are the parachutes.

the plane carries on blazing its way through the sky and eventually comes to impact hillside, last place and hits the ground and there's smoke sent off after the impact, the collision into the ground. the fate of the pilots is not clear and other media, one has been caught by rebels. reportedly he's being searched by the same rememberel -- rebel group. >> a lot of people are saying all you're doing is knocking down antiassad people.

violated and they responding as they see fit. >> we are just getting information coming from the news agency about another incident that happened. turkish war planes killed five kurdishmen in southeast turkey. >> this is another example of how complicated this difficult war to understand is. you've got the kurdish groups towards the east of the country who are fighting on the ground in iraq, ally the same group fighting on the ground with spotters, special forces spotters from nato countries helping them to do what they did in the last few weeks which was retake sinjar a crucial town in northern iraq, but the same group is being bombed by another

the s&p down just over 9. >> cheryl: markets continue to actually get lower and lower. we are also following a major developments out of france this morning. let's bring in ashley webster. he's live in paris. obviously, ashley, françois hollande arriving to meet with president, now you have to add to the discussion between leaders today. >> in fact, you could say that françois hollande is on a diplomatic offensive. he's in washington right now to talk to president obama. he flies back to paris to meet with angela merkel and then after moscow to meet with vladimir putin on thursday. he's wanting everyone to be on the same stage, he wants the united states and russia to put aside differences and cooperate and become part of the coalition to directly attack isis. it'll be interest to go see what

he discusses and what he resolves with president obama. you can see the eiffel tower behind me. not very people there. you know, there aren't many people on the street whether the weather is nice or not. we are at the museum a few days ago, very few people there. the shops, tourist attractions are seeing a significant drop in businesses since paris attacks 11 days ago. streets in brussels are relatively empty again. the city on lockdown, universities, schools, subway systems still close, we are told that perhaps there maybe some partial opening depending on what the authorities decide. the search for the attacker on events here in paris november 13th, he slipped on a couple of occasions.

you mentioned the explosive vest that was found south of paris in a trash can. it didn't have a detonator and made his get away thanks to two people that picked him up in that region of paris. in other words, there's a growing suspicion that he decided not to go through to detonate the suicide vest. in the meantime we are getting word that they are still looking for the identity of another bomber. still don't have a positive id, they do believe he came through greece as part of refugee crowds that he and at least one other of paris attackers managed to slip in europe using refugees as cover. >> cheryl: thank you, ashley. well, you want to make sure you stay in the fox business network today, we are going to have live coverage of president obama and french president hollande news
