reporter: hello and welcome. last night i watched the president try to reassure a worried nation as he tried to explain await anxiety in the wake of the san bernardino murders. he initially spared us the condescending lecture after the attack which he normally likes to do. and i was surprised when he correctly labeled the attack last night. >> it's clear the two of them had gone down the dark path of radicalization, embracing perverted interpretation of islam that calls for war against america and the west.

and a political resolution to the syrian war. kennedy: blah, blah, blah blah blah, it's the same malarkey. he then added a few more non-solutions. >> congress should act to make sure no one on a no-fly list is able to buy a gun. >> i posed a question how do you get off the no-fly list if you have been placed there erroneously. how rough spelled to get off the damn thing. the list isn't being used as a punitive political tool for which there is no due process. i'm diewb yustles our lists, mr. president. no ban on assault weapons would have prevented san bernardino. the president called anyone a bigot who should mention islam.
