nicole: breaking news this morning the investigation into the san bernardino massacre, now focusing on a small lake near the scene of the attack. we'll have the latest on the story. good friday morning, i'm nicole petallides. cheryl: good friday morning i'm cheryl casone. let as look at u.s. stocks. heading into friday we're sharply lower for the entire week. dow down about 20 points. looking futures is mixed bag, pretty much a flat market. we would like green numbers. s&p up one and a quarter. nicole: volatile crude oil some of the action. 36.58, down half a percent.

cheryl: in politics a new poll out shows that a majority of americans opposed donald trump's plan to ban muslims from coming into the u.s. we'll have the numbers for you. nicole: if you are going to be traveling with that new hoverboard you better plan taking the train. we'll have that story. cheryl: plus coming up in sports, the arizona cardinals and minnesota strike kings go down to the wire on "thursday night football." it was a big night for one alabama running back. we'll have all the highlights. welcome to "fbn:am," latest in the markets and breaking news, what to expect for the day ahead. nicole: breaking news this morning the investigation into last week's shooting rampage in san bernardino shifting focus to a small lake in a park near the scene of the terrorist at attack. >> we will leave no stone unturned. the reason we're searching this lake today because we did have a lead that indicated the subjects came into this area.

we have now put a dive team into the lake as logical part of covering that lead. nicole: he is the head of the fbi los angeles office declined to say what the bureau was looking for or to disclose new information on the investigation. he says the search of the lake by divers could take days. the couple died later in a police shootout. cheryl: the plan for donald trump stopping muslims from entering the u.s., is objected to americans. 57% of those objected to ban while 25% supported it. gop voters are split idea. 39% opposing it. 38% in favor of it.

nicole: democratic presidential front-runner saying trump's proposed ban on muslims plays right into the hands of terrorists. clinton adds that the ban gives terrorist a great propaganda tool to recruit more supporters from europe and united states. she is calling on everybody, especially other republican candidates to stand up to trump, saying enough, you have gone too far. that is not who we are. cheryl: they may be at war with each other but isis and syria's government are engaged in millions of dollars of oil trade. that is according to u.s. treasury official adam zubin who estimates that the deal could be worth as much as $40 million per month. speaking in london he says isis selling a great deal of oil to the assad regime while some is coming across the border into turkey. islamic state militants have been $500 million from black market oil sales. nicole: sergeant bowe bergdahl

in his own words. the army desserter telling his side of the story publicly for the first time. bergdahl was taken prisoner by the taliban after leaving his military base in afghanistan. he was then freed in a prisoner swap. the interview was on the popular podcast serial where he likened himself to jason bourne, the character in the "bourne identity" spy movies. >> what i seeing from my first unit up to afghanistan, always i was seeing was basically leadership failure. suddenly this really starts to sink in i really did something bad, not bad but i did really something serious. nicole: bergdahl faces up to life in prison if convicted at court-martial. cheryl: well the house is expected to vote today on a america sure to extend funding for the federal government into next week to avoid a shutdown

today. the senate passed extension to buy more time for budget negotiations. house and senate leaders are continuing to negotiate a deal on $1.1 trillion omnibus funding legislation. both sides accused the others of being unreasonable and blocking a deal because they're congress. nicole: breaking this morning, four people are dead after a medical helicopter crashed last night in heavy rain and fog in central california. the skylight air ambulance had a pilot, nurse, paramedic and patient when it went down in a remote field. the general manager for the company said the chopper was headed from porterville to a hospital in bakersfield when it crashed. both the ntsb and faa will be investigating this one. cheryl: all right. we do want to get you caught up what is happening oh night as far as global market are concerned. for asian markets actually it is a mixed bag. not a lot of movement except for

the hang seng which lost a little more than 1%. nikkei up just a fraction. nicole: check out what is going on in europe right now, all down arrows. roughly half a percent each for ftse, cac and dax all under some pressure. cheryl: the dow is down 250 points for the week. we'll see how the day shakes out. we have one more day. a rather flat open to be honest. s&p is up .25. nicole: watching oil which is under pressure near 2009 lows, 36.45. these are new lows we're watching. iea says they expect the glut to continue in sift sifter as opec continues to produce. gold down 4 1/2 dollars at 1067. cheryl: euro is higher against the green back. all other currencies are trading lower against the grown back. another factor for oil today. nicole: as everybody focuses on fed, look at 10-year treasury yield. 2.22%.

cheryl: speaking of the fed, yes, next week, here we go. there is now a broad consensus among private economic forecasters that the federal reserve will raise short-term interest rates next week. about 97% of businesses and academic economists predict fed officials will raise rates next wednesday. mark your calendars. only 3% expected fed to wait until next year to increase rates. 92% the forecasters last month predict ad december fed rate increase. odds are going up. nicole: numbers are expected to show that low steady job growth, low gasoline prices and small wage gains did not result in big increases in sales. economists expect retail sales to rise just .3 of 1% in november. core sales excluding automobiles, gasoline, building materials, food and service also may rise .3 of 1%.

those are higher than the previous month. november retail sales do include black friday. cheryl: well, ford has big plans to increase its line of hybrids and electric vehicles. ford's ceo mark fields says the automaker plans to invest in additional four 1/2 billion dollars in the line by "20/20". fields say next year that they will launch new version of ford focus electric car. it has 300-mile range and can recharge in 30 minutes. they plan to add 13 plug-ins and hybrid vehicles by 2020. forward doing very well. nicole: three largest airlines are banning hover boards because reports that some are catching fire. the fire danger comes from the lithium-ion batteries that power those devices. delta air lines, american airlines, united airlines all said they're banning hover boards in checked

or carry-on luggage. jetblue already prohibited them. hoverboards two wheel skateboard sized scooters that people stand on. they're a hot gift item at retailers. kids love them. cheryl: a mom had home set on fire by hoverboard. they're okay. this story we've been watching following. coming out of china. this billionaire tycoon known as china's warren buffett is missing. that caused i-shares of his hong kong listed company to be suspended. this is china's largest private sector conglomerate has not been able to reach the chairman since yesterday. a number of high-profile chinese executives have been temporary missing recently as beijing increases scrutiny of the china's financial sector in

widespread anticorruption. he is not the first one that has been missing. nicole: the merger could put rivals and pesticides to look at combinations of their own. halliburton's deal faces antitrust concerns. the justice department is questioning whether other companies could buy some of baker hughes and halliburton assets. there is volkswagen. volkswagen blames a chain of mistakes for emissions scandal. released a report following internal investigation, that the mistakes began with the company's push into united states for 2005 and culture of tolerance of rule breaking that allowed the deception continue for a decade. cheryl: coming up, a mock political debate ahead of "monday night football." >> he is my friend but he is a loser. >> you're just mad because the cardinal defense is a wall and you can't penetrate it.

peg jets. nicole: hall hall of fame footbl coach john madden was released from the hospital after going open-heart surgery. madden left the san francisco hospital on wednesday and is expected to make a fool recovery. the 79-year-old madden coached oakland raiders from 1979 to to 1987. he became a sports broadcaster. cheryl: he is legendary, legendary, we wish him well. shanghai and shanghai index actually closing .16% a pretty flat night for asia. nicole: it has been a rough week on wall street overall. all 10 sectors are lower this week. ftse, cac and the dax are all down roughly half a percent each. cheryl: go back to the flat,

it has been a tricky week on wall street. only nikkei squeezes out a gain of 1%. hang seng dropped 1%. shanghai down half a percent. cheryl: in europe stocks trading negative. all three major markets we follow are negative. right now the ftse is down 33. the dax down 96. nicole: energy and financials led the week lower. all 10 sectors are negative. dow futures today, talking about for the week. dow futures today down 40. s&p future down 3 1/2. cheryl: the big story with the markets has been oil. we've been talking about it all week on fox business. oil at 36.34. it is a loss of 42 cents. gold down five bucks. not a lot of movement in gold amidst all the turmoil with the oil contract. nicole: before you head out the door. let's get a look at weekend forecast. we bring in fox meteorologist maria molina. maria. >> good morning to you, cheryl and nicole. hello to everybody at home. we're tracking several areas of unsettled weather.

a sim through parts of the great lakes bringing more rain showers. it is quick-moving storm system. out west we have significant storm system. mound after mound of heavy rain and mountain snow. that is etch the case anywhere from california up to washington state and across parts of inner mountain west. several areas could look at several feet of snowfall and potential of additional flooding with additional rain along coastal areas. temperaturewise incredibly mild day across plains and eastern u.s. new york city near record warmth. 61 degrees for high forecast temperature. 70s across southeastern u.s. and atlanta and raleigh, north carolina and places like texas and oklahoma, temperatures widespread. 60, 70s, 80s, not very december-like. we'll have another storm system moving into the plains. because it is warm out we have potential to see thunderstorms

we'll see how close it gets to the $36 mark. international energy agency says we'll see a glut of oil because of opec production. opec says they're not stopping production. that continues to trend lower. gold down 10 bucks at 1062 a troy ounce. cheryl: oil stays low we'll see nothing but selling into the end of the year unfortunately if things don't turn around on contract. talk about oil to gasoline to ford. ford has plans to increase its line of hybrids and electric vehicles. ford's ceo mark fields says the automaker plans to invest decision four 1/2 billion dollars in the line by 2020. fields says late next year ford will launch new version of ford focus electric car with a one hundred mile range and recharge in 13 minutes. they plan to have new plug-ins or hybrid electric vehicles. they are will be in the lineup he says by 2020. nicole: u.s. airlines are
