we have now put a dive team into the lake as logical part of covering that lead. nicole: he is the head of the fbi los angeles office declined to say what the bureau was looking for or to disclose new information on the investigation. he says the search of the lake by divers could take days. the couple died later in a police shootout. cheryl: the plan for donald trump stopping muslims from entering the u.s., is objected to americans. 57% of those objected to ban while 25% supported it. gop voters are split idea. 39% opposing it. 38% in favor of it.

today. the senate passed extension to buy more time for budget negotiations. house and senate leaders are continuing to negotiate a deal on $1.1 trillion omnibus funding legislation. both sides accused the others of being unreasonable and blocking a deal because they're congress. nicole: breaking this morning, four people are dead after a medical helicopter crashed last night in heavy rain and fog in central california. the skylight air ambulance had a pilot, nurse, paramedic and patient when it went down in a remote field. the general manager for the company said the chopper was headed from porterville to a hospital in bakersfield when it crashed. both the ntsb and faa will be investigating this one. cheryl: all right. we do want to get you caught up what is happening oh night as far as global market are concerned. for asian markets actually it is a mixed bag. not a lot of movement except for

the hang seng which lost a little more than 1%. nikkei up just a fraction. nicole: check out what is going on in europe right now, all down arrows. roughly half a percent each for ftse, cac and dax all under some pressure. cheryl: the dow is down 250 points for the week. we'll see how the day shakes out. we have one more day. a rather flat open to be honest. s&p is up .25. nicole: watching oil which is under pressure near 2009 lows, 36.45. these are new lows we're watching. iea says they expect the glut to continue in sift sifter as opec continues to produce. gold down 4 1/2 dollars at 1067. cheryl: euro is higher against the green back. all other currencies are trading lower against the grown back. another factor for oil today. nicole: as everybody focuses on fed, look at 10-year treasury yield. 2.22%.

cheryl: speaking of the fed, yes, next week, here we go. there is now a broad consensus among private economic forecasters that the federal reserve will raise short-term interest rates next week. about 97% of businesses and academic economists predict fed officials will raise rates next wednesday. mark your calendars. only 3% expected fed to wait until next year to increase rates. 92% the forecasters last month predict ad december fed rate increase. odds are going up. nicole: numbers are expected to show that low steady job growth, low gasoline prices and small wage gains did not result in big increases in sales. economists expect retail sales to rise just .3 of 1% in november. core sales excluding automobiles, gasoline, building materials, food and service also may rise .3 of 1%.

those are higher than the previous month. november retail sales do include black friday. cheryl: well, ford has big plans to increase its line of hybrids and electric vehicles. ford's ceo mark fields says the automaker plans to invest in additional four 1/2 billion dollars in the line by "20/20". fields say next year that they will launch new version of ford focus electric car. it has 300-mile range and can recharge in 30 minutes. they plan to add 13 plug-ins and hybrid vehicles by 2020. forward doing very well. nicole: three largest airlines are banning hover boards because reports that some are catching fire. the fire danger comes from the lithium-ion batteries that power those devices. delta air lines, american airlines, united airlines all said they're banning hover boards in checked

or carry-on luggage. jetblue already prohibited them. hoverboards two wheel skateboard sized scooters that people stand on. they're a hot gift item at retailers. kids love them. cheryl: a mom had home set on fire by hoverboard. they're okay. this story we've been watching following. coming out of china. this billionaire tycoon known as china's warren buffett is missing. that caused i-shares of his hong kong listed company to be suspended. this is china's largest private sector conglomerate has not been able to reach the chairman since yesterday. a number of high-profile chinese executives have been temporary missing recently as beijing increases scrutiny of the china's financial sector in

a sim through parts of the great lakes bringing more rain showers. it is quick-moving storm system. out west we have significant storm system. mound after mound of heavy rain and mountain snow. that is etch the case anywhere from california up to washington state and across parts of inner mountain west. several areas could look at several feet of snowfall and potential of additional flooding with additional rain along coastal areas. temperaturewise incredibly mild day across plains and eastern u.s. new york city near record warmth. 61 degrees for high forecast temperature. 70s across southeastern u.s. and atlanta and raleigh, north carolina and places like texas and oklahoma, temperatures widespread. 60, 70s, 80s, not very december-like. we'll have another storm system moving into the plains. because it is warm out we have potential to see thunderstorms
