why do we have market reaction or is there something going on? there are bigger issues in place. they plan to raise rates and, you know, the spike is still unresolved issues. the markets here, perhaps, focusing on comments from the people's bank of china, central banks saying they are going to target the chinese currency. it's basically bringing the devaluation story back front and center. a lot of apprehension out there. volumes are not strong at all. >> nicole: this is nicole.

>> well, as i said earlier, i think we could get a repeat if they do deliver a quarter point hike. i think that whether the market builds on the gain that is we've seen today or, indeed, slips back depends on the plot. that may modify the market somewhat if the language in the statement is affirming that the rate going 16-17 is going low. markets will be confident by that. >> cheryl: mike, i'm sorry, we don't have a lot of time with you. come on, the real story has been oil, that's why the markets went into the tank last week. that's what everybody is concerned about. forget the feds, what about oil? we are at 35.37.
