oil continued to stay low. oil is priced in dollars. stuart: if we reach a bottom and oil and a bottoming commodities, at that point, we bounce back. >> there is a lot of supply. we understand that there is too much supply. oil is telling us something. it is telling us that the worldwide economy is slowing down drastically. >> i heard you say yes. >> i am nodding my head. he is absolutely right. we are only talking about inflation will we do not have any. they go ahead and raise interest rates. where are we going to be in six months time? i absolutely agree. you have to ramp up your expectation and they are not doing that.

in our schools taking part in christmas celebrations. >> it is fake laugh like school. they should deal with whatever they want to do in terms of celebrating christmas. this is as mentioned a song that has nothing to do with the holiday season. it is sort of strange to me. you were right. tried to bring other cultures in. i do not find that to be that offensive. the better question is, are we teaching people the islam that is being practiced in the middle east right now. they have to do a better job of informing people of what that really is. stuart: what about donald trump? no muslim immigration. temporarily until we figure out what is going on.

>> we have not figured out what is going on. clearly, we have a very bad system. the important point is that we do not have a good system of being able to that people. when we have, would you look at a country that has a preponderance or a large number of radicals or is a country that is background checks that are virtually impossible, places like libya and yemen, syria and iraq. because of the difficulties of the government, we cannot do that and have adequate background checks. there are large numbers of radicals. >> stop immigration from those areas. stuart: would you positive for now? once you figure out the vetting process. figure this thing out. would you go about favre?

>> i would not go that far. you do not have a significant number of radicals. it is not like we are being overridden. the bottom line is we have a system that is not working well. we need to go where the high incidence of potential danger is. a high density of radicals. you cannot do sufficient background checks because of the instability of the government. stopping immigration from those countries. continuing to probably improve the process that the meantime. >> there is now one person with deep national security experience left in this race. realizing they will keep this

stuart: global warmers, unite. we come off the high we were up 150 and now we're up 99 because of price of oil briefly dropped below $34 a barrel. as oil comes down, some of that rally in stocks starts to fade. how about apple? it's in what they call bear market territory. in other words, it's down 20% from its high. it's up only 46 cents at 106 right now. a lot of big names in the s&p, they're in bear market territory and here are the others, wal-mart, chevron, oracle, and would you believe, ibm? let's get to the price of oil, that's the market mover today and in fact, it's been like that for some time. we've touched 33.98 earlier and that took away a lot of the stock market rally. we're up 100 points though. here is the really, really good news for oil, gasoline falls below $2 a gallon, that's the national average.

the price of gasoline has dropped to 1.99, that's the average around the country. first time below $2 in a long, long time. and look at this. the cheapest gas anywhere in america right now is in garden city, kansas where no less than four outlets will give you to you for 1.31 per gallon if you pay cash. jeff flock is with us at a gas station in chicago. now, gas used to be expensive in chicago. so tell us, how expensive is it where you are right there. >> we're still above the national average thanks to state taxes, local taxes, county taxes, this state is 2.15, the county is 2.31 but i think march 5th, 2019 was the last time the national average got below -- stuart: if there's one place in america that could use dirt cheap gas it's chicago and the whole state of illinois, and it doesn't look like they're going to get it.

i mean this is sort of a fairy tale foreign policy. significant damage can be done not only to our physical structure but psyche. we can't find ourselves behind in this fight. the united states the most effective military in the world. if we don't take leadership in a region like this, then we can expect the enemy to take leadership for us and that's what we're seeing right now. stuart: psychological damage more than that really hurts at this moment in time. we've had an attack in our own backyard. >> right. stuart: and immediately afterwards the nation's second largest school district was flat out shut down because what turned out to be a fake terror threat but shut down nonetheless. that's the damage that we live in fear, and we change our behavior because of isis. that's a presuming problem. >> that's a huge problem you're right and, again, our military is effective and we can avoid this by taking a clear, decisive role. she talked about having a commitment and a strategy. but that's precisely what's
