live. rob, what do you make of what we heard from the fed yesterday. we also saw the action where oil was higher and stocks were lower, what do you think about the next week or so? >> nicole, i think the statement that the fed made that the economic growth had slowly last year, that's what really spooked markets. obviously the market turmoil shows that there was suspicion of this, what does the fed know that we don't know-type moment. >> do you think that they still on pace to raise rates unspooked the market? >> the market is expected according to fed fund futures only one rate hike. the fed is saying four, the governor fisher is staying that the governor is estimating what they're going to be. i was expecting four until yesterday. i think they may push it back a little bit. it might just be three, but it was a combination of both of those things. >> lauren: rob, can you try to

explain to us how the narrative that we come up with to explain the daily equity action t daily market action, how come that narrative cannot last more than a day? exercise this morning and i think everyone should do it. i went to wall street journal and looked at the head lines, here is what i saw, i am going to read the name of the company and apple, stalled growth, caterpillar stuck? mud, bow i think, weak forecast. samsung earning slow. i found two companies that were positive, facebook, of course, we talked about and bionjen had positive earnings, maybe amazon will swing the bell. but right now, i'm just seeing -- i don't even see -- we had bad earnings but the rest of the year looks great. that's my concern. >> lauren: gary we are in an earning's recession. what did the fed do with all of this? do you think they pressed the pause button, do you think they back off from the central bank? >> i don't see one more hike. they pretty much in my opinion,
