supporters. all in all, a little bit of a surprising result. >> nicole: iowa democratic party declaring hillary clinton the winner now. we know it was neck and neck. we have been watching moment to moment. we saw younger voters to bernie sanders. do you think this would translate to new hampshire now? >> i think bernie sanders had a lead. >> nicole: with hillary clinton, do you think with hillary clinton this momentum could continue for her? >> she's probably going to win south carolina. the next interesting race is the nevada caucuses. >> lauren: why? >> bernie could win half of opening contests going to supertuesday. >> lauren: let's go back to go punishing side, you have marco rubio surging and donald trump learning that he can be beaten. what do you learn from the republican side?

>> people make up their minds late and so we see these polls and we live by the polls and certainly rcp does. at the end of the day, voters and primaries take a good last look before going into the race and that can change things. >> lauren: the polls are not always accurate as we have been learning. >> that's right, they're the best bet but not always the right bet. >> nicole: a lot of people were actually saying that they wanted an outsider, someone outside of washington. what do you think of that? >> people, i think, when they go to voting booth value experience. you do have senators and true outsiders, senators with a lot of experience who did pretty well. >> lauren: what do you make of the new-comers, four and ten showing up for the most parton both sides. what did that help, who did that hurt? >> on the democratic sanders it helps sanders.

on the republican side people thought it was going to help trump. it wasn't enough. >> nicole: when we talk about the hot topics that everybody talks about, economy, same-section -- same-sex marriage, religion, which one holds more merit? >> i think the state department. i think immigration is a big one that's doing to come up as we go on the republican side. >> lauren: sean trende, thank you. >> thank you. >> nicole: most of the candidates are in to new hampshire. jo ling kent from new hampshire. new hampshire primary one week from today. good morning, jo, what are you learning?
