reported and winter storm across midwest. i thought the ground hog yesterday said there would be an early spring, what's going on? >> maria: we have cold air across the east of the nation. don't let ground hog fool you. you mentioned those blizzard conditions across places like iowa and snow coming down right now at this hour. we have blizzard warnings in effect and winds gushing 40 miles per hour producing whiteouts out there. the snow stretching across iowa and wisconsin and parts of the upper west lakes and ahead of the system we have a lot of moisture so there's heavy rain that's moving through places like new york state all the way down to the gulf coast and that's the area that we were looking at severe weather and today there's still a risk for additional severe weather anywhere from the florida panhandle up into parts of southern virginia. the threat today is not as it was yesterday for tornadoes but
