the republicans front runners, but if you're going to go with one party or the other, look, the democrats have already said, the ones running, they're going to go after cooperate america. and when you talk about these job numbers, the middle class is absolutely disappeared. going after corporate america with cap expending the lowest in five years is not going to help very much. if the job picture is that great, why is gdp continuing to slide downward? adding jobs is fantastic, remember, the middle class is destroyed. 9 million jobs added under president obama, we've added two people for every job. 51 become the of americans are making under $30,000 a year, 74% under $54,000 a year. >> it's tragic. everybody knows we have a big problem here. so susie, look to the jobs created in this report, it's terrible.

we're talking about jobs in the retail. we're talking about

vacuum and jump in and talk about job growth. >> mark, you say it's all about hillary clinton. >> oh yeah. look the republican party is philosophically opposed to the government getting involved in the economy. they want to deregulate, they want to pull back, there's some goofy proposals being put forward about abolishing the irs and they're wildly popular, but republicans don't have a serious plan. hillary clinton put together a five year $275 million plan to get manufacturing back on track. to rebuild america's infrastructure, those create manufacturing jobs, good jobs, pay typically 8% to 20% more than these bar tending or, you know, table-waiting jobs that you mentioned. >> look, the democrats, are they going to build out the manufacturing part of the economy or are they just going to make more government jobs? >> yeah, you can't magically build out manufacturing with government policy. look, the democrats, i'm going to disagree, i would say bernie.

bernie sanders wants to transition to go european-style economy, single payers -- look, you offer free education to everybody, you're going to create jobs. i'm not saying it's a good economic policy, but that will create more jobs than hillary clinton's mr. chairman which is to not move to a european-style economy. >> are you telling me you like bernie sanders? what are you saying here, explain. >> targeting jobs as a policy, you want jobs to be an indirect beneficiary of good policy. now on the republican side, they all got tax cut plans, they're not going to happen because they can't pay for the extreme tax cuts, but i have to go with trump. trump wants to build a giant wall. that is fdr straight up. if you don't think that's not going to create hundreds of thousands of construction jobs, the sheer amount of work that is going to be -- so that alone puts him ahead of all the other tax guys. >> let's bring in gary b. here, i'm relying on you to say something superintelligent, harry. >> wow. >> the pressure's really on now.

okay. a couple points in review, mark said that the republicans had no serious plan, my gosh, all you need to go to is tedcruz.org. marco rubio's website, there's plenty of plans to grow the economy. mark seems to think -- sorry, the left seems to think that growing the government is a good idea. look, i'm not, honestly, jerry, to go through all these plans and dissect them. just reading through ted cruz's tax plan was mind boggling. i went to the tax foundation, they ran through all the plans and all the economic numbers. on the left side, they looked at a number of different factors. ten year gdp growth for every republican candidate was positive. for both sanders and clinton, it was negative. same with job growth. negative under anyone on the left, positive under anyone on the right. wage growth, negative under both sanders and clinton. so look, the tax foundation, all

their interested in is what is going to be the affect of their economic policy on the economy, on jobs, on wages and things like that. it's decidedly skewed toward the republicans. if you have some kind of, you know, fais that the government's going to do it, it just doesn't add up to what the number's say. >> come on -- >> all you have to do is look at the last several administrations to wonder under which public policies do jobs and does the economy do better? clinton is synonymous as a word with -- >> recession we've ever had. how can you say that's a good policy? >> we were hemorrhaging 800,000 jobs a month when barack obama took a office and in a year, he steered the economy back to job growth. month by month for the remaining six years. >> after we got through the bump of $800 billion was stimulus that was taken out of the pocket, what's the job growth been there? its been terrible. the economy is sinking now.

>> somebody just said $9 million were created under obama. that's not chump change. nobody else does. john, to you. what has done? what should one of the republican or democratic candidates do? people desperately need to see better median income. >> we haven't had grown-ups in d.c. in many years. this goes way back before president obama, believe me, the small business fairness act put together in the mid-90s by president clinton who also, when you talk about deregulation, president clinton was the one who spurred the economy through deregulation. that helped, that small business fairness act helped because of the right and the left actually worked together.

and when you talk about jobs, it's not fair to cherry pick numbers like that. 40 million jobs were created between 1980 and 2000. between reagan, bush, and clinton. you've had nine million created under president obama. there's no comparison right now. by the way, remember those jobs being created. gdp is trending at about 2.4% under president obama last five years. that's way under 3.1% average. >> let me ask you quickly. john is saying hey, everybody get together, kumbaya, baya mom

that's the worry to the consumer down the road. >> i feel like this is the big deal, and maybe only 25 cents a gallon, but that's not meaningful to many. many consumers. what do you say? >> yeah, at a point where consumers are being stretched right now. the problem is where does this money go? if this money went towards a d.c. supergrid like we need to upgrade our grid, they would create some jobs that would lost in the oil field that he's talked about, the problem is you cannot trust congress with money, look at the gas tax, medicaid, medicare, its been used for education, 1990, congress took half of it. 1993 they did it again, said they were going to use it for education in the south, general fund. this money will not go where it's supposed to go and attacked that'll be there permanently. >> it's another gas tax. mark, you have pretty strong feelings on this. what do you think this is going to mean to kmurs, to people, do you think this is important to have another tax on consumers? >> sure, it will.

brave policy, any politician can say oh -- remember when hillary clinton said let's get rid of the gas tax for a while, that is a policy. doing this, raising money this way, you remove all the moronic policies like the miles per gallon and incentives for solar, we wouldn't need any of that. had a simple tax that's easy to collect that raises the prices of energy and get rid of the bureaucracy. that's a good way. >> chicken in every pot and everybody gets a free car. >> okay, gary b., to you, really? so consumers aren't going to end up getting -- we just spent 20 minutes talking about how lousy the jobs market is. and now, no, let's give these people another tax, that would be a great idea. >> couple points, jerry, asking a liberal physical he's in favor of a tax is like asking a golden retriever if they want another tennis ball thrown at them. i mean for crying out loud, they love spending another people's money because they think they're so smart they can spend it
