economy, that's troubling to a lot of stock market investors. all right, as we've said right at the top of the show, the democrats and republicans are both split. there is intense hostility between the leading candidates on both sides. i'm gogointo start with the republicans. senator scott brown is with us and scott, you are a trump guy, i believe? >> yeah,h, i supported him, one of the first ones, actually, stuart. by the way, i'm waiting for that elusive first hole e in on, just for the record. stuart: and we all have to wt a long time. trump supporters will not go for cruz. cruz supporters will not go for donald trump. that means the party is totally split and i suggest to you that that means the party cannot win the election. what say you? >> well, i say earth to both parties. it's time to, once this is over, get together and actually form a coalition and take back the white house, because with that, you're going to get the abcs and the cabinet positions anmaybe the deciding vote

police brutality issues that i know aot of viewers are going to get worked up about when i say that, but there are those issues in new york. he's brought them up so he's going to come to new york and make that a big issue, i suspect, and could get more voters, to get more minority voters who experienced that, which he has had a huge problem getting until now e you sound like y believe that sanders could win this, new york, i'm talking about? >> well, the numbers still look-- it looks difficult. new york. uart: he could? if he does w new york isn'n't that the end for hillary? that's huge, couldn't win her home state or one of her three home states? seriously. >> she's-- doesn't have any homes. i support any democrat. stuart: where is your heart? sounds like it's with bernie sanders.

he's trying to win minority voters against hillary clinton's camp in the state of new york. that's what he's doing. >> absolutely. he has a problem with it. if i was a campaign manager, i would suggest this is what he needs to do because hillary clinton is just seen and known by minority voters. the african-american community has known the clinton family for years, especially young voters, they've known of her and them their entire life. ashley: she's taking a lot for granted d and i think that berne is chipping away a the her base. stuart: if hillary clinton loses new york state, isn't that the end of it? i know she's sti got the delegate count and the super delegates stacked in favor o here at the convention, but that would be a traumatic loss, wouldn't it? >> i thihink so it would be, bu i don't think it's over for her. they need to get back to the drawing board, but messaging issues, one of the proroblems-- >> messaging issues, oh, man, have you got a degree in

meaning that that person has not made a payment in at lea a year. another 3 million are at least a month behind and another 3 million had their loans put on hold, in other words, deferred is what they call it. this is a huge time bomb ticking away. are you likely to see this money returned? i doubt it very much. stuart: oh. >> a very small percentage. the problem is they gave out the loans, no credit checks and no required co-signers and throwing money at people clearly not able to repay it. stuart: byron from the examiner is here. i sense a bailout coming and it would bebe a gigantic bailout. i think it will be proposed by the left because it wins votes. am i off base on this? >> it's being proposed by the left. it's a big issue in the democratic campaign. we know that bernie sanders promised free college at public colleges and also student loan forgiveness.

hillary clinton has gone there as well. on the republican side i've heard donald trump a and ted cruz, ted cruz had college loans themselves, they mentioned the issue and want t o make it betttter. no specific programs. on the democratic side, all bailout. stuart: the sheer size of this cascading this morning, 40% either not paying at all or are late in payments. 40%, 9 million people. the sheer size. i've added it up, it's about a quarter of a trillion dollars worth of student debt of which there is delinquent payment. a quarter of a trillion dollars. the scale of it is what hits you in the face.e. > well, you know, we've seen today a new article in the wall street journal, most of these people who have students loans are not paying are determined not to pay. the ones who are in default, the servicing companies, they didn't just put them in default right away.
