law. lauren: mark sucker berg is responding to allegations that facebook's trending topics discriminate against conservative news. zuckerberg says his company is conducting a full investigation to ensure its teams upheld the integrity of the product and he wants to meet with influential conservatives and discuss their concerns. liz claman spoke to cameron winkle voss who along with his twin made famous by -- about those allegations. >> it comes down to the transparency and what you tell your users you are doing. i'm not that close to the story so i don't know what the expectations were but if the expectations were and algorithms that was not pushing a certain thing i can see why people would be disappointed. lauren: they were involved in early stages of facebook. nicole: apple is making an investment in uber.

apple is investing $1 billion with a valuation of $25 billion, dd is one of china's most valuable startups and is involved in a head to head competition with uber china to attract writers and investors and china's rideshare market. lauren: alphabet is the parent company of google overtaking apple is the most valuable company in the world. alphabet's market cap is $494.8 billion edging slightly past apple's market cap of $494.7 billion, shares of both companies fell yesterday with alphabet down a bit and apple up 2% even though investors appear to have soured on apple, it remains a profitable company earning $10.5 billion. nicole: shares of nordstrom plunging 17% in extended trading after the upscale retailer cut its sales and profit outlook.

that does the job with the board that can follow through and in a way that helps grow the economy at puerto rico and helps the people there. >> but the protests in chicago shows that it's not puerto rico that's drowning, cities like chicago and states like illinois are cutting funding for schools, roads and infrastructure. in illinois' case total debt budden is more than $127 billion and most of it is owed to the state severely underfunded pensions. like puerto rico, illinois and any other state cannot file for bankruptcy and because politicians in illinois never saved the required money for the state's public pensions, illinois now pays its pension obligations from the general fund. roughly 24 cents of every tax dollar. money that used to go to schools, roads and other infrastructure projects now goes to retired public employees.
