warnings in effect out there and the reason for that is that we have ongoing flooding out here in places like houston and surrounding areas and river flooding as well. it's a huge concern because forecast to continue as more heavy rains continue to come in this area. some areas could see as much as 8-inches of rain in addition to what they have seen. flooding continues to be a big threat out there. even across the florida, panhandle with damaging winds, large hail and even some isolated tornadoes possible out there otherwise across parts of eastern u.s., most of the heavy rain across parts of north carolina as bonnie continues to exit the region. lauren: maria molina, thank you very much. nicole: block buster season gets off to a slow start. latest superhero sequel had very little to celebrate.

expecting more severe weather. right now the radar is relatively quiet across parts of texas. some light rain right now, we do have warnings in effect across several areas of texas, we have ongoing river flooding out there. many rivers remain at flood stage and will continue to do so through the day today. that's a big concern. over the next couple of days, several more inches of rain, we are talking as much as 6 to 8-inches of rain out there, that could bring additional flooding, severe storms possible not only from texas but parts of wisconsin, florida and panhandle. relatively low threat today, even isolated torpids will continue to be possible. otherwise across the eastern u.s., dealing with a lot of tropical moisture making things muggy out there. the forecast to continue but most of the heavy rain concentrated across portions of north carolina over the next few
