7:00 pm
we see a change in venezuela in time to save its people? >> i don't think it's time, it's a bit late. perhaps the oas and the u.n. can form a political consensus. adam: thank you for joining us, lou dobbs is next. we'll see you later. lou: good evening, everybody. i'm lou dobbs. donald trump today unloading on the national liberal media for nitpicking contributions to veterans' charities. the republican nominee telling reporters they should be ashamed of themselves for hypercritical reporting on his good deed, raising nearly $6 million for veterans. while his rivals clinton and sanders haven't done anything for veterans. >> you know, my opinion to the media is very low. i think the media is frankly made up of people that, in many cases, not in all cases, are not good people. but i think this is an example.
7:01 pm
and i just on behalf of all of the folks that have worked hard on this and all of the people that made contributions including myself, i gave a million dollars, but i just want to tell you that there are so many people that are so thankful for what we did. we raised a lot of money, and i didn't have to do that. would have been easier just to give the speech. the problem with the press is they convince people like me not to do it, not give money. >> reporter: we'll be taking all of up that, talking with trump's national co-chair and chief policy adviser sam clovis tonight. and ed rollins, pulitzer prize-winning columnist for the "new york post," michael goodwin. bill kristol to draft a third-party candidate to challenge trump. kristol thinking of recruiting david french, somebody have you likely never heard of, it would
7:02 pm
mean a bunch of elitists and big money men would have circumvented the big money process. that's why kristol and his allies will look like fools if they have a spoiler candidate. i'll have a few thoughts later in the broadcast. lou: concerned about the upset by senator bernie sanders next week. we'll have the report coming up here tonight. our top story, donald trump's war on the liberal mainstream media. the republican front-runner using his news conference today to attack the political press who trump says is among the most dishonest people he's ever met. fox news chief political correspondent carl cameron at the event at trump tower and has our report. >> let me tell you, these people are losers. >> reporter: in a combative news conference donald trump attacked the press face-to-face
7:03 pm
for questions about his promise to raise money for veterans groups more than four months ago. today he announced raising 5.6 million dollars and completed donations to 40 veteran organizations over the last two weeks. >> on behalf of the vets, the press should be ashamed of themselves. you're a sleaze, you're a sleaze because you know the facts and know the facts well. >> reporter: trump faced questions for months how much he was going to donate and the delay was because the recipients needed to be vetted and wanted to keep a low profile to focus on veterans not himself. today's news conference at 200 reporters at trump tower. >> the money has been sent. i wanted to keep it private. if we could i wanted to keep it private. i don't think it's anybody's business if i want to send money to the vets. if the press writes false stories, i didn't want the credit for raising all this money for the vets. i wasn't looking for credit. >> reporter: trump denounces questions from the press as criticism and eviscerates
7:04 pm
reporters who challenge his candidacy. trump has to stop republicans including governors and for that matter for congress or any other office. >> if i have a republican that's not on my side, i'm not going to -- why should i be particularly nice to that person? >> reporter: the clinton campaign and the democratic party launched a attack outside trump tower today. trump could see it from the podium. >> donald trump accused us of being here because of hillary clinton. one thing i want to make very clear, i'm one of the main organizers of this action that is unequivocally false. donald trump is trying to discredit veterans because we're not being convenient props in his narrative of bigotry and of hate. >> reporter: inside, a new hampshire veteran for trump threw that right back at the left. >> you got a guy outside, mccoy, go do a google search.
7:05 pm
his pictures with clinton. they are using veterans as political pawns, it must stop. >> reporter: for months, democrats, and the media say trump must scale back his confrontational name calling. asked if today's news conference was indication of the white house. trump said yes, and made it very clear he has no plans to change. lou? lou: carl cameron. i'll talk with a marine corps veteran who defended trump today. new hampshire state representative joins us later in the broadcast. on the democratic side, hillary clinton changing up his campaign schedule trying to prevent a sanders upset? california apparently. clinton originally planned to campaign in new jersey for most of the week but heading to california thursday for what we're told will be a five-day swing. california governor jerry brown endorsed her, but polls have shown it's a close race. the real clear politics average

has clinton leading sanders, sanders says he's making clinton nervous. >> if you promise not to tell secretary clinton -- she's getting very nervous lately. i don't want to add to her anxiety. so if you promise not to tell her, we're going to win in california on june 7th. lou: sanders himself has been feverishly campaigning in california, where 475 pledge delegates are at stake. but clinton is just 71 delegates from clinching the democratic nomination. turning now to the war against the islamic state. iraqi forces have begun their push into fallujah as part of operation meant to push the islamic state out of the city entirely. u.s. forces are providing support for the iraqi attack. they rappelled a four hour counterattack from the terrorists today.
7:07 pm
kevin corke has more on our troops facing combat and the president's long-awaited acknowledgment that they are indeed putting their lives on the line and are in finally the president will say it, in combat. >> reporter: as iraqi forces move deeper into fallujah, seems efforts are not successful without the support of u.s. troops who are the president admits engaged in combat. from his comments to stars and stripes this past friday to remarks he made yesterday in honoring the fallen on memorial day at arlington national cemetery. >> in iraq, in our fight against isil, three americans have given their lives in combat on honor of our behalf. >> reporter: the president's own former defense secretary robert gates, today white house officials seem hesitant to say what the commanders and what
7:08 pm
the public already knows. >> it's important to draw a clear distinction between the dangerous situation that our men and women in uniform face in iraq and syria right now, and the mission that those men and women that our men and women in uniform were given in iraq in 2003 by president bush. >> reporter: translation, the bush doctrine called on 100,000 troops to acquire and hold iraqi territory while the obama doctrine calls on the iraqis to solve issues with u.s. assistance. critics say the president's public acknowledgment is long overdue. >> when you make some sort of gray statement whether the forces are in direct contact, that's disingenuous, it's very clear we have boots on the ground that are, in fact, operating in a combat role. >> reporter: this as the new study suggests the toll of war is weighing heavily on fighting forces. after 15 years of war, the number of veterans with multiple tours of combat duty is the largest in modern american history.
7:09 pm
more than 90,000 soldiers and marines, many elite fighters who deployed four or more times. including heroes like josh wheeler whom the president mentioned in his remarks at arlington. wheeler who died fighting in iraq had been deployed to iraq and afghanistan 14 times, earning 11 bronze stars, 4 for valor. you may know this, the new york time was referencing a harvard university study. thanks to the pentagon, fox news confirmed americans are not in fallujah at this hour. instead they are advising from about 30 minutes away, and also from baghdad, we're told, and all of that is happening at the division level. lou? lou: kevin, thank you very much, kevin corke from the white house. the state department has issued a travel warning to americans who plan to head to europe this summer. government officials are warning about a higher risk of terrorist attacks throughout europe especially at large
7:10 pm
events such as the european soccer championship, the tour de france. state department spokesperson john kirby says no specific threat led to the travel warning but says the government wanted to make their concerns for american lives known. in other travel news, latam, the largest narl latin america is suspending flights to venezuela because of the economic crisis. venezuela run out of basic goods and staples, food, toiletry, medicine, electricity, a severe drought and the possibility of a coup. it is essentially already a disaster, and we are told it will only, only worsen. we're coming right back with much more. stay with us. donald trump at or near even with hillary clinton in the polls. so is trump winning? . >> polls are coming out all over the place, we're winning, we're winning. i love to win.
7:11 pm
we're going to win for the country. we can't have four more years of obama and i think it's going to be obama-like. if it's hillary it's obama-like. lou: to take all of that up, ed rollins and michael goodwin join me next. and a commute for drivers on this highway about to come to a stunning conclusion, we have the video that you won't believe as you watch one of the luckiest motorcyclists in history. stay with us. we'll be back right after this. poor mouth breather.

. lou: hillary clinton and donald trump now deadlock in the swing state of new hampshire. a new franklin pierce university boston herald poll shows both with 44% of the vote. looks like new jersey will be in play during the general election as donald trump suggested. new monmouth poll showing clinton leading by four points. new jersey has backed democrats in every presidential election since 1992. if he can flip new jersey, he can flip just about any state, it would seem to me. joining us former reagan white house political director, great america pac strategist ed rollins. pulitzer prize-winning columnist for the "new york post," michael goodwin. if trump can do this in new
7:16 pm
jersey, he may have 15 states where he with play? >> look, we've already seen dead heats in pennsylvania, ohio and florida. the three most populous of the swing states and 67 combined electoral votes. if trump were able to hold romney's 202 or 212, that would put him close to or over the top. my math is a little rusty. lou: sounded like 279 to me. [laughter] >> new jersey he's really, really trying. lou: then he's showing off. >> but i think if that pattern holds and we begin to see as the election draws closer, certainly is going to be a very interesting election. lou: is it your judgment that he can make that kind of hey this year? >> i think he can. there's a long ways to go.
7:17 pm
everybody is gnashing their teeth is what they say. they see him as strong and the country's leader. lou: you say that, and his words matter to a lot of people. he's got more votes than any republican in history, and you still got five states to go. he is galvanizing a group of people in this country who have given up all hope, frankly, of ever being represented in washington, d.c. >> i think that's true, but my point is you don't need to alienate. lou: look, i get the civics lessons, but i'm not running for anything, and it's a great burden not to have to carry. >> it needs to shift and beat up the democrats. that's what the drill is ahead of us, is to beat up the democrats. lou: little intervention coming here.
7:18 pm
little fellow by the name of bill kristol decided he's going to be a king maker, and i guess philip anschutz, his boss who owns the weekly standard, they're going to pluck somebody out, ignore the fact there is a process and play spoiler, what's your take? >> the goal is to play spoiler. what i understand is it's to have a third-party candidate not even to have a plurality of the electoral college but win enough states that no candidate would win a majority and it would go to the house, and i'm beginning to wonder if paul ryan isn't part of that plan, that ryan's refusal to endorse trump makes less sense, the party is consolidating behind him, the polls say 8 in 10 republicans want the republican leaders to unite behind trump. paul ryan being conspicuous in his refusal to do so, i wonder if he isn't keeping himself a
7:19 pm
free agent in the event the election comes to the house because there is no electoral college majority. >> it's not going to the house. [ laughter ] >> this is quite a construction. >> you can't forget the two former republican governors running on the libertarian ticket, weld and johnson, are going to get a few votes. the new guy he's going to throw out after months and months and months of trying to find a candidate. no offense to mr. french if he's the person. lou: why would you not want to offend him? the fact of the matter is -- >> i don't know him, so i've offended enough people of late. trying to keep my wife happy at home. you can't take a perfectly unknown person in this late in the game and throw them into the mix. it's the ultimate hubris to think that the -- lou: you don't think that bill kristol and a few of the oligarchs are anywhere short on the hubris, do you? >> i do. i think to a certain extent
7:20 pm
they don't understand the game and the reality is it's a two way race, it's trump who is clearly getting more and more stronger by the day and hillary getting weaker and weaker by the day. lou: let's be clear here, i don't care who i offend, i really don't. get to the truth of this. this is an anti-establishment wave election waiting to unfold. the establishment is desperately clawing and reaching for any possibility it can to save its power. bill kristol represents that element of our body politic. the people who have had their way for 40 years in this country without interruption, and it's no more than that, no less than that. and trump scares the hell out of them. i don't think there's anything they won't stoop to, including this little maneuver. >> i think gatekeepers of all kinds are being thrown aside in this election. it is one of the most remarkable things. it is a peaceful revolution,
7:21 pm
and it is upsetting a lot of applecarts. >> and -- lou: you get the last word here. >> the neoconc are a small element of the republican party who did a lot of damage during the years. lou: and torn it to pieces. they've done a lot of damage to the country, and -- >> and had a much bigger voice, could this be the end of them as a viable factor. lou: and kristol is going to be at risk as we say. >> he is. lou: irrespective of what he does or does not do with david french. you agree? >> oh -- >> where do you go? >> i thought i had the last word 30 seconds ago. lou: i did, but i didn't tell you which last word you get. >> oh, thank you. >> i promise you in ten days if mr. french is inclined to run is not going to recover. there's no money, no resources, all the people that promised
7:22 pm
him are not going to be there. lou: you don't have to be famous to have hubris, sometimes folks less so have it. appreciate it. breaking news now, residents of rural counties in southeastern texas are bracing for even more flooding along the brazos river. it crested at a record nearly 54 feet today just two years after it had run dry of a 500-year drought gripping the southwest. unfortunately, more rain is expected over the next few days. at least seven deaths blamed on the flooding. more than a thousand people have been evacuated. be sure to vote in our poll tonight -- bet you didn't know that. donald trump repeatedly appeared on every major television show, talked with

7:24 pm
up next, donald trump take down bill kristol today. >> not a smart person. he said donald trump will never run. remember? do you remember? i actually blame you. why do you put this guy on television? i see him on the different shows? he has no credibility. i won't run. if i run, i won't do well. if i run, i will do this and that. he looks like such a fool. lou: i'll have a few thoughts on kristol's, well, his remarks and foolishness coming up in my commentary tonight. stay with us, we're coming right back. you both have a perfect driving record. perfect. no tickets. no accidents. that is until one of you clips a food truck, ruining your perfect record. yeah. now you would think your insurance company

7:27 pm
7:28 pm
. lou: a few thoughts now on a three-headed monster that seems to be lurking within the gop establishment. they are mitt romney, paul ryan and out front of late, bill kristol. none of them is particularly aggressive at least publicly, they're more passive aggressive.
7:29 pm
how the party of know was first formed, in fact. trump slammed kristol as a loser in his news conference and in an interview with my friend sean hannity that airs tonight on fnc trump thinks kristol is hawking his wares trying to save his deeply troubled publication. >> who would do it. a guaranteed law you can't get on in texas because they missed the deadline, now missing other deadlines and all he's doing is trying to get publicity for his failing magazine, i imagine. lou: of course, kristol doesn't have much of a track record. in 2006 he predicted barack obama wouldn't beat hillary clinton in a single democratic primary. kristol then predicted romney would win the white house in 2012. in 2014 he wrote this -- he has the last part right because he has the rest of 2016 utterly wrong.
7:30 pm
as for kristol's boss, the owner of the weekly standard, billionaire philip anschutz, the man isn't keen on getting into the political spotlight but he's there now. he's donated a million dollars to establishment republican candidates in groups. now for my part, i can't imagine anschutz permitting kristol on a fool's errand to undercut millions and millions of republican voters who supported droichlt -- donald trump. kristol tweeted this to trump's barbs today -- in my opinion, kristol has obviously failed in the latter regard, and in recent years wrong in choice of candidates and public policies. but wrong headedness doesn't
7:31 pm
deter kristol all with the democratic reality that votes do matter and that majorities and not special interests, not even really rich elite interests rule. and they fear trump mightily because he's likely to make the establishment very uncomfortable for a very long time. our quotation of the evening. this one on the anti-establishment mood that has swept through american voters this year. robert rice said this about the emerging fault line in american politics -- well, it arrived. we're coming right back. donald trump giving back and sacrificing a lot in his run for president. so what does the liberal
7:32 pm
national media do? attack him, of course, instead of crediting his generosity. >> on behalf of the vets, the press should be ashamed of themselves, they're calling and they are furious because i sent people checks of a lot of money. instead of being thank you very much, mr. trump or trump did a good job, you make me look very bad. lou: the national co-chair of the trump campaign sam clovis joins me next, he'll tell me how the fight is going to make america great again. a life or death situation at a zoo leaves spectators in shock and much of the country trying to figure out what happened. we have the latest for you right after these messages. don't go anywhere, we're coming right back. stay with us. those seats sometimes cost a ridiculous number of miles, making it really hard to book the flight you want. luckily, there's a better way... with the capital one venture card. with venture, you'll earn unlimited double miles on every purchase, every day. and when you're ready to travel,

...one of many pieces in my i havlife.hma... so when my asthma symptoms kept coming back on my long-term control medicine. i talked to my doctor and found a missing piece in my asthma treatment with breo. once-daily breo prevents asthma symptoms. breo is for adults with asthma not well controlled on a long-term asthma control medicine, like an inhaled corticosteroid. breo won't replace a rescue inhaler for sudden breathing problems. breo opens up airways to help improve breathing for a full 24 hours. breo contains a type of medicine that increases the risk of death from asthma problems and may increase the risk of hospitalization in children and adolescents. breo is not for people whose asthma is well controlled on a long-term asthma control medicine, like an inhaled corticosteroid. once your asthma is well controlled, your doctor will decide if you can stop breo and prescribe a different asthma control medicine, like an inhaled corticosteroid. do not take breo more than prescribed. see your doctor if your asthma does not improve or gets worse.
7:36 pm
ask your doctor if 24-hour breo could be a missing piece for you. see if you're eligible for 12 months free at mybreo.com. . lou: joining us now, trump campaign national co-chair and chief policy adviser, sam clovis. sam, great to have you with us. let's start with the big news which is developing here, and that is bill kristol, whom your boss says is basically a damn fool, seems intent on bringing david french, an attorney, from an all but unknown place in our society to about as prominent as you can get, candidate for president. what do you make of it? >> well, it's really interesting. i'm surprised at what bill is trying to do, i think a lot of us for a long time, we've had a lot of respect for bill and the weekly standard, and certainly
7:37 pm
i followed, first came in touch with the kristol family with his father irving and then onto bill, and i'm a little bit surprised. and i can't imagine what the motivation for this is. if the issue is to expand the debate, that's one thing, but to go out here and to do this to derail donald trump or hillary clinton, it just seems a fool's errand to me. lou: it's a strange thing and obviously donald trump is more than a little upset by it. >> right. lou: as michael goodwin said on our broadcast earlier this evening, this looks like pretty clearly a play that's at work, and it's unfolding. we know that there have been all sorts of organizational developments over the course of the past five months on the part of kristol and others that may include paul ryan. may include mitt romney and a few other folks. certainly would have to include
7:38 pm
philip anschutz, billionaire owner of the weekly standard which has a circulation of 50,000 people, if you believe circulation numbers. is this a search for relevance? what's the deal? >> i do think you touched on something, it is the search for relevance, but the other thing is i think what we're having here is protecting the status quo, protecting what's going on inside washington, d.c. and i want to offer this up for thought. i think we have people who have hijacked this term conservatism and they're not really conservative. i'm a russell kirk, bill buckley guy, and you and i discussed this before, lou, and i don't see that the guys have done anything conservative over the last decade or two, and so they've hijacked the term, and they expect everybody to think that what they do is true conservatism. it's not close. lou: i don't know about you, sam, nothing makes me laugh
7:39 pm
much harder than people explaining to me and to america how paul ryan and mitt romney are the appropriate arbiters of who is and who is not a conservative. i mean, it's hilarious. >> it's hilarious and it's nonsense, what i think has happened is a lot of times and i'll put the media into this as well. three things you do in a campaign. one is you raise money and starting to do that process, the second you get votes and we've been very successful in doing that. and the third is you have to educate the voting public. one of the things we're doing now is exposing a lot of the people out here inside washington, inside the media establishment, inside the donor class, inside a lot of other areas for what they really are. this is what they are. there are special interests that do not have the interest of the american people in the forefront of their thinking. this is exactly what we're finding out. lou: when you see mitt romney, paul ryan, bill kristol, and
7:40 pm
again, philip anschutz, the names and the list will go larger, of course. >> sure. lou: when you see them working so hard to come up with this artifice, this contrivance of a pristine conservative who's had some sort of test by only the elites, not the presidential primary process, and they then insert their man into position to thwart the will, of millions, tens of millions of voters. you laid out the case for donald trump right there and for millions of americans who say this establishment, these elites no longer deserve a place where they've been entrusted to over the course of decades. it's insane. >> well, it is, and i think you touched on on something, it is a populist upsizing and populist movement.
7:41 pm
i harken back to democracy in america, toquesville, a lot of people haven't read it, i have. it resonates so much, thinking about his appreciation for the american people and the caliber of the american people and for far too long we've been dismissive or the establishment has been dismissive of the american people. and finally getting back in touch and the american people are getting back in touch with us. this is one of the reasons donald j. trump is doing as well as he is. lou: sam clovis, you are also part of that reason. >> thank you, lou, always an honor to be on with you. lou: thank you. cincinnati police considering criminal charges following an incident, a tragic incident at the cincinnati zoo over the weekend. a 450-pound endangered gorilla killed after a four-year-old child fell into the animal's enclosure. it's unclear whether the zoo or

the mother of the boy will face charges or both. it's so captivating a story even donald trump weighed in. >> i don't think they had a choice. probably they didn't have a choice. you have a young child at stake, and too bad it wasn't another way. lou: up next, marine corps veteran al baldasaro defending donald trump's fund-raising for veterans. >> donald trump is doing this for the heart, you're all focused on the way he's raising money, and you're not looking at the 22 veterans that are killing each other every day. i think the liberal media, and i've been dealing with you for a long time. need to get your head out of your butt, focus on the real issues. lou: baldasaro is a state representative from the great state of new hampshire, and he is our guest here next. stay with us. if you're taking multiple medications, does your mouth often feel dry? a dry mouth can be a side effect of many medications.

7:47 pm
>> thank you, i was a sergeant years ago, i retired first. >> i hear sergeant and i want to say sergeant. >> right. lou: representative al baldasaro, i thought it was great what you said, and a lot of people in the national, across the country, want to hear it said, and you did so. what do you make of hearing 6 million dollars, almost 6 million dollars going to veterans' groups and people are nitpicking. >> what i don't understand. the ones that are nitpicking and the phone calls i received are liberal meadeias, and they're veterans, i do research on who's calling me especially a veteran, when they're complaining about money being raised to help veterans, there's a problem there. they are liberals, supporting hillary clinton, if you look at mr. mccoy, he has pictures with him and clinton. he works for a democrat senator. if you're going to use veterans

as political pawns, tell the truth. lou: it is a strange thing to do to be picketed in cooperation with if not coordinated by the clinton campaign, trump tower. we understand the tactics, but why not report the full story. >> who in their right mind would go after a person trying to raise money to help veterans? okay? if we get one dollar, that's one dollar more than a homeless veteran would have. where is hillary clinton? where is bernie sanders? they give nothing to the veterans. they can talk it up, look at story. look at the politicians in washington. people are dying on their watch. republicans and democrats. it needs to cease. lou: you said something very important, 22 veterans a day committing suicide. the tragedy in houston, texas committed by a man and served four tours. the things we're asking of our

men and women in uniform are unprecedented. i mean, to think that one of the people the president referred to died in combat, and to have 14 tours it's unimaginable. >> that's right, it's a shame. and what's a shame is we know the issues are there and not doing anything about it. we got wait list times, we got bureaucracy with the republicans and democrats in washington. a president that the veterans are low priority. we're treated as second class. if you're a refugee, they're giving you extra money. you can go to any va hospital you want, or any hospital you want. if you're a veteran, you've got to get on va system and ask permission, can i outsource. lou: and donald trump wants to change all of that. >> he's the real deal. i support him 150%. he's the only one talking about veterans' issues, bringing up the issues. lou: representative al baldasaro, great to have you with us. >> same here, honored to come

on board for you. lou: i'm going to call you sergeant. semper fi. coming up next -- >> when i raise money for the veterans and massive amount of money, find out how much hillary clinton has given to the veterans. nothing. lou: sarah westwood and tony sayegh join us next. stay with us. we'll be right back. if a denture were to be put under a microscope, we can see all the bacteria that still exists. polident's unique micro clean formula

>> the idea that any candidate at this point could have a chance of even winning one state is far-fetched. even if you are talking about a well-liked, well-known candidate. now you have bill kristol talking about a writer most people have never heard of. it defies logic that that person could have a chance in making a dent in hillary clinton or donald trump vote tallies. >> do you think this is an insult to the millions of people who voted in the presidential primary process who supported donald trump and made him the nominee of the party? is this the lathe wrighting possible reach of the establishment seeking to preserve the status question and their power? >> you know, it's not about winning anymore. it's just about denying donald trump a win and taking away

people who would on the for wise go with him. lou: is this a last desperate gasp of an establishment. tony, it looks bizarrely desperate and as donald trump said, the person who would take on the assignment looks rather foolish. >> and it's insulting. itch always been concerned donald trump may not be the movement conservative. i hoped we would nominate this election cycle. but the most republican primary voters in the history of our process have selected him. we are the party of individual freedom, individual rights, self-determination. but you are elites are you can willing to recognize the choice of millions of individual voters in our party. it's beyond insulting and has potential for long-term damage. we have seen the polling change.

donald trump is putting together a strong and organized campaign structure. why would we begin to hyper folk ounce things to undermine a candidate who has begun to right the ship in a way we need him to to win an election against the most pathologically fraud and weak -- flawed and weak candidate? lou: , work for the "examiner." owned by the owner of the "weekly standard," and bill kristol is his employee. this would leave those likely associated with it, so goes the theories of michael goodwin of

the "post." that paul ryan is involved. mitt romney is involved. the whole cluster of elites and establishment -- i won't call them behind muchmen or lackies or puppets. but those who seem to be -- there seems to be a great deal of confidence in their thinking with the establishment. i mean, that's a difficult situation, isn't it? >> i think that if this had been a serious candidate. if a real name stepped forward with actual recognition with voters maybe this would and lasting problem for the establishment. but at this point it's spitting into the wind. not only have the voters spoken at this point. but they are floating if the name some of one who wouldn't have a prayer in any scenario whatsoever. so this is likely to be quickly forgotten after we move into the serious business of the general election because this is a last-ditch effort that has zero chance.

he wouldn't be able to get on the ballot in any state. the deadlines have passed. lou: the establishment is it's simply the problem that donald trump is going after. millions of americans are disgusted with, and here it is, kristol * in his genius is revealing to the body politics if there was any doubt in their mind as all. >> it reinforces the need for the outsider to. but we need the establishment to co-stles behind him quickly. this is another missed opportunity. lou: tony see you egg and sarah westwood, thank you.
