lauren: 5:15 a.m. in new york. democrats have to put the e-mail hacking scandal behind them with big-name speakers on the opening day of their convention in philadelphia. michelle obama, bernie sanders and elizabeth warren called for party unity and they criticize donald trump. a man armed with a knife killed 19 patients at a facility for the disabled near tokyo yesterday. at least 25 others were wounded in the attack. the suspect is a 26 euros employee of the facility who gave himself up to police.
