louisiana. taking a look at what happened here since last tuesday, some areas picked up more than 2 feet of rain out there across louisiana and portions of mississippi, here is a look at some of the recorded totals, more than 30-inches even in some spots. a historic event that occurred out here and what was going on we had the frontal window ri andlingerring pressure and all combined with tropical moisture to produce heavy rainfall rains. the concern is that we could be seeing more storms, several inches of rain across eastern texas and eastern louisiana, because of this we have number of watches and warnings. eventually making its way to the midwest where flooding can occur as well. let's head over to you. lauren: maria molina, thank you so much for the update. adam: thank you, maria. coming up we have more on the mayhem of milwaukee, violent protests there. governor scott walker has issued a state of emergency.

she's here with the very latest, hi, maria, good morning. maria: hi, big concern is that we have more rain on the way and river flooding that's going to be ongoing out there for several days and i want to share with you some of the reported rape fall tote -- rainfall totals and what happened was we had an area of low pressure lingering out here and tropical moisture in the rig owned and produced heavy rainfall. over the past 24 hours, the heaviest rain has been focused across portions of eastern texas. we've had a little bit of break in louisiana, but the forecast to return out there and could be looking at much 4 to 8-inches of rainfall that will make matters worse in terms of flooding, flooding across portions of texas but we do have a number of watches out there. we have watches and warnings out
