congress failed to delay the transfer. arizona, nevada, the state of texas stepped up to stop the move and to stop president obama. of course states have often found themselves in this administration forced to take matters into their own hands. because this administration has acted so often well beyond its constitutional powers and failed to enforce federal laws, including immigration laws. the state of texas filed more than 40 lawsuits against the obama administration, including in 2014 when 26 states sued the president over his executive fiat to unilaterally keep illegal immigrants from being deported. the supreme court earlier this year deadlocked and that left in place a lower-court ruling that blocked the amnesty fiat.

leading conservatives in country, evangelical and evangelist. you're doing some interim preaching right now in louisiana, right? >> i am, lou, i am. i do. probably not a leading preacher, maybe a back row preacher but i do a little preaching. lou: you're doing good, we need a lot more of that. let's talk about this roundtable today that donald trump had with evangelicals, with others, people faith. it's interesting to see people of all religions seem to be lining up with donald trump here. >> yeah, it is interesting. i helped invite some of the folks to that meeting. i did not intend because i was speaking at pastor's breakfast in my home state of louisiana this morning. what's happening, lou, the strong connection point between trump and evangelical, i would rather use the term social

conservatives. there are conservative catholics and evangelicals here. the connection point is not so much shared value as it is shared concerns. and donald trump has done something that no other gop nominee has ever done. in a primary they have conversations with conservatives because evangelicals, social conservatives, are a key voting bloc for republicans. they're capture the nomination, they quit having the conversations. he's continued to build relationships which is something we've never seen before and i think people see that as genuine, that he cares, he's concerned. they don't see him as the savior that's going deliver this country or anything like that. what they do see is this is a guy who's going to defend their freedom and give them the ability to change their hearts and minds with jesus christ. lou: that's a pretty good ask and delivery if he can do it, it's also important in this election that evangelicals get

out to vote. we saw what happened when evangelicals did not vote in the last election. no question about it. how energetic are they going to be, how enthusiastic? how motivated will evangelicals be? >> look at numbers, george barna and polling of conservative evangelicals shows that 86% are backing trump. "gallup" released numbers today showing 11-point advantage for the gop. 76% of republicans say they're going to vote in the general election, only 65% of democrats which is a 16 year low for them. they have an intensity problem on their side and i go back to what donald trump is doing, he is not a conventional candidate. he continues to speak as he did in the primary, continues to build relationship ands that's beneficial. what happened with romney and mccain, after the nomination, they stopped talking to the core constituency that can be up to 33% of the vote in the general election. he's doing the right moves,
