all-time high and i think what you need to see was -- i think markets are more sensitive to bad news in the u.s. than europe. most investors are overweight and maybe a donald trump presidency would be a trigger for them saying, hey, we are not comfortable, we run them over the first nine months, they did very well but now time to cut off the table and back to europe. as mentioned earlier, europe has its own problems. >> since we are in debate season right now, new york times who wrote about donald trump and less than great performance of the debate as judged by most americans and how that impacted a rally in the markets, do you really think that type of assessment can be made in the midst of the debate? >> i'm reading through that article. seems to be a bit of a big ask

to extrapolate. shift to implied probability of a trump victory. there's very little doubt that if we see a doubt presidency, we would see a negative market reaction. on the flip side, a rebound in terms of a clinton victory, i think you have some broader economic problems out there which is one -- nicole: what about earnings, i get your point. markets go down if trump gets elected. what about earnings overall? quickly. >> the problem is markets discount forward for the long-term and i think the risk premium inherent in trump presidency would override. i think it would be very short-lived, indeed. nicole: market strategist, thank you very much.
