week but as hurricane matthew approaches united states will that cause price to spike? we have phil flynn. we have seen low gasoline price this is year, near $50 a barrel. your thoughts, phil, what now? phil: i think a lot depends on the short-term, where the storm go and if it tracks closer to land we are going to see demand destruction, power outages which will reduce demand for gasoline and natural gas and we are going to see a lot of issues. the storm goes out of the east we could rally because of the expected demand destruction that's price intoed the price will come out and we could see a big rally. lauren: the southeast, phil, has been affected by pipeline outages and causing prices to spike already.

if you do have outages and there is a supply disruption, that could cause prices to go up even more? >> absolutely. if you're in those areas. we are seeing gasoline stations run out of gas in florida. lauren: right. phil: now you have the storm. it's definitely a big impact. we see prices go up when people have to fill up their gas tank to get out of town so we are going see that demand go up. at the same time you'll see tankers going into the gulf of mexico be diverted, they are going to try to divert them into new york or maybe even china and so some that we were suppose today get here, they won't show up. nicole: there's no way they could move in gulf of mexico. where do you think theigture -- what do we see next, 40 or 60? phil: i think 60. we could see prices go back down.

hi, janice. janice: national weather service says we can see unprecedented damage from hurricane matthew along the east coast of florida. we are dealing with a strengthening storm in the bahamas, you can see the eye right there 125-mile per hour sustained winds, that means a strengthening storm system. up until it moves towards florida strengthening is very probable. let's take a look at the future radar as we go through thursday, today coming very close to west palm beach tonight thursday 10:00 p.m., the eye, strongest winds and the last check of the track saying that we could have 140-mile per hour sus takenned winds in the eye wall of the storm. port st. lucie, melbourne, central florida, we have 10 million people under hurricane warnings. if you're told to evacuate a

category 4:00 storm should make you evacuate. there's friday all up the east coast of florida scripping the coastline with the worst of the rain, rest of the winds, then it's georgia and carolinas, right now we are dealing with hurricane warnings all up and down with millions of people, this state has no had a major hurricane in over ten years and a lot of people never experienced a major hurricane. a strengthening storm as makes closest approach to florida klose line. whether or not it makes a landfall. that's not the important component of the story, the fact that we are going to have at least 24 to 48 hours of major hurricane force winds battering wave, heavy rainfall, that is the story and the tropical models are coming into very good agreement that this is an east coast florida storm and into georgia and carolinas.
