from las vegas as republican strategist fort o'connell. thanks for waking up in the middle of the night up there and i guess. i want to start with you. was this donald trump's best debate? >> without question is donald trump strongest debate. he fasted on foreign policy, open borders, with unique. he did a great job prosecuting the case against hillary clinton because donald trump's right. things are not right in america and around the world and all she's saying is we have to stay the course. the question is whether donald trump really made a game breaking performance last night. nicole: david, question for you. the feeling from all the comments following the debate is the trump voters select trump, hillary voters still like hillary. to your point, what did hillary do best?

he had a strong great debate arguably did better than hillary clinton. did he ruin it by doing that? >> when you're trailing in the polls, you basically don't need to have been the next day to be whether you will question the election results. it was a strategic miscalculation because he wants to keep his supporters fired up. it was in the cab. he knew exactly what he was saying. but so many questions out there and done by six points in the latest fox news poll, that was not the way to go. he tried in the primary in work. nicole: he's certainly someone he tries to be honest on this platform. let's talk about something every american knows we've had contested elections before. this wasn't the first time. al gore. this is not the first time to hear that there may be voter fraud as you may want to challenge some of the votes. david. >> yeah, i agree with ford.

and partial-birth abortion should get a really close race. >> he appealed strong enough to his base last night but the comments on the second amendment on roe v. wade and not the top when he said he wants to put justices in the supreme court that will interpret the constitution as it was meant to be interpreted. >> for the first 30, 40 minutes he was re-anchoring the base. he can't win by narrowcasting kds to expand his base. he needs 10 million more voters. to win this campaign, the selection. >> my response is very simple. he's killing of independent voters. i agree he needs to be more suburban affluent voters. you have to understand he has not yet solidified in terms of polling the republican party base. he has to do two things here.

even more. i have a very expensive education in economics and it tells me if you raise the price is something people will do less of it. lauren: donald trump pointed out his tax cuts and other proposals that the u.s. economy would grow if not a meager 1% buy that five. is that possible? >> ronald reagan's economy grew at 4.6, 4.7% but it's not the tax cuts. the deregulation which ronald reagan did. he got the same entrepreneurs back. you've got to do two together. if you do the two together, you'll get a lot of growth. hillary so fun to talk about. there is a good independent analysis done recently that showed donald trump would simply create a lot more growth than her. nicole: and cut back on regulation to your point. what you think about the

candidates plans are not? the fact they do things and how will ultimately affect our federal deficit. >> of delegates 5% growth the deficit will go down. he's not going to get as big a tax cut as they like it enough to make things happen. he does have to negotiate with the house. paul ryan and republicans will be an opposition party. the deficit would go down. but hillary will go well. she would put in place a lot or social programs that cost a lot more than taxes she raises. mark my words either directly through additional taxes or rent direct you through forcing a look at company you rates go up one way or another. middle-class people can't get this for nothing. they are going to pay for free college tuition. there is no such thing as a free lunch. nicole: finally, many people equate donald trump wins when it comes to the economy, so why

clinton. alec baldwin probably got defeated by kate mckinnon. trump last night reminded me of alec baldwin more than hillary last night so that's one measure of what happened. nicole: i'm not sure about that one. overall what do you think was hillary's best moment? >> i thought her closing was good. even though she didn't crack this go figure. nicole: how do you know shouldn't practice? >> to practice for every contingency and surprise. he was more wondering. overall i thought she looked great. not that it's everything, but should a presidential demeanor and she kept them on the defense issue is a pretty effective counterattack or last night if you think of it. lauren: 19 days to go before we cast our ballots and those for the next president. was last night the game changer donald trump needed? >> i really don't know that it was.

i believe he won the debate and scored a lot of points when it came to the economy and foreign policy, but to say it was the game changer he needs trailing in the polls, i just don't know what it was. i will say is something that will hopefully prepare them in the right direction and it's clear he will fight for the american people. the question is whether you can get out to the polls. nicole: this has been a very dirty election when you talk about politics. everything from photos of sunday, bill clinton's whereabouts in videotapes from hillary's team and donald trump as well. what are your thoughts even how chelsea doesn't get asked about bill clinton that ivanka gets asked about donald trump. what are your effects on the sturdy election? >> in 19 days our national nightmare is over. we will all feel like we went on vacation and that's when it day. it's not in a fun campaign to watch.

we are at unprecedented levels. obviously media dynamics going on. nicole: ford, what do you think? >> i don't think it's appropriate that it's over going to see in future presidential elections. candidates no longer go by the queensberry rules of campaigning. they will go if usc campaign tactics because the problem is simple. people are short attention spans and he's got to be entertaining and if you don't grab their attention, they're just not paying attention even though it's the most powerful and important position in the free world. lauren: word we go go from here postdebate? >> both candidates are animate the to vote. they both have unfavorable tires unfavorables. there's an old saying hillary clinton can win this election. donald trump could lose that. he's getting close to losing it i think. and that dynamic you have negativity that's a very

frustrated election to watch. lauren: my follow-up would be to that point. what do you make to the fact going forward hillary clinton could win in states that usually go read such as texas and arizona. >> it shows a gigantic shift afoot. it shows trump needed a gigantic recasting of the electoral dynamic last night. he's going to have to find some way of expansion for him to win realistically something really, really extraordinary will have to happen with e-mails. nicole: ford, let me ask you this. arizona, texas, borders immigration and more and more immigrants and those who get registered to vote quickly. how does a republican ever went over again with so many free programs and things the dems do to boost immigration and free programs that go along with it on the taxpayer's dollar. >> you're absolutely right. the democratic party suffering

nicole: welcome back to this special edition of transcendent. this morning where i played in that early watching the presidential debate. it was exciting, nicole. certain candidates have very strong points about open orders. that was out of my favorite discussions. maybe trump should have the economy harder. nicole: we are going to get more right now. blake burman lives in las vegas with one last night's heated debate. reporter: good morning to you. when you talk about open borders, the first two debates,
