maria: great day. join forget to join us tomorrow in mornings with maria. anthony scaramucci, dagen mcdowell, cat trumpf, thank you for joining us. >> thank you. maria: varney&company begins right now. stuart: thank you very much, indeed. clearly there's a shift, the polls are trending towards trump with two days to go, he thinks the trend will count into victory and hillary clinton, very worried shifting her schedule to meet his challenge. good morning, everyone. donald trump is racing against time and racing is the correct word to use. he will make five appearances today, iowa, minnesota, michigan, pennsylvania, virginia in that order. please notice minnesota and michigan, traditionally democrat strongholds and he thinks he has a shot there. here is why. most show a continuing shift to trump. the one on your screen dead heat
9:01 am
statistically. 44-43. hillary clinton has only two rallies today. she does not appear at all at 4:30 eastern with lebron james in leave labd and with james taylor. she has jammed in an appearance in mitch tbean but not until tomorrow. why is tim kaine jamming in a speech and supposedly save virginia tomorrow? welcome, everyone, there's being big going on and we are glad a you are a part of it. varney & company is about to begin. how about that, that was donald trump rushed by the secret service. someone shouted, gun.
9:02 am
one person led away as you saw. no gun was found. trump returned in minutes and had this to say. >> nobody said it was going to be easy for us. but we will never be stopped, never, ever be stopped. stuart: two days to go. both campaigns are making their final push, trump is, i'm going to say, much more energetic just because of the turf he's covering. he has five events scheduled today. hillary has two. trump starts in iowa then off he goes to minnesota, then michigan, then pennsylvania, wraps it all up tonight quite late to want actually in virginia. hillary starts off but not until this afternoon in cleveland, she's with lebron james, she's off to new hampshire with james taylor. first let me show you hillary in florida yesterday fighting a voice in the rain, roll tape. >> you have a hardy bunch in the rain. i want to be the president for everybody, everybody who agrees
9:03 am
with me, people who don't agree with me. people who vote for me, who people don't vote for me. let's get out and vote for the future, let's vote for what we want and our country and our children and grandchildren, god bless you. stuart: okay, look, ash, welcome to the show on sunday morning. before we get to a discussion of that, i'm going to be nasty, i guess, i want you to roll the tape on howard dean screen of 2004 because i think they are very aligning. >> you know something, not only are we going the new hampshire, we are going to south carolina and okay and arizona and doctoral, masters' and bachelors' -- north dakota and texas, new york, south dakota, oregon and washington and michigan and then we are going to washington, d.c. to take back the white house. [laughter] stuart: i apologize. i apologize. the two have very dissimilar,
9:04 am
shouldn't have done it. liz, put me in my place. liz: she was battling the elements and rain and her message was better, i want to be a president even if you don't like me. i mean, i didn't mind it when dean said it. stuart: he killed his career. liz: who cares? i don't think it's a big deal. ashley: to hillary clinton, the weather was terrible and campaigning hard but bryan and i were sitting and she was talking a bit like nails down a chalk board listen to that. liz: come on. nails on a chalk board? ashley: yes. liz: a moment of enjoy. [laughter] stuart: it's sunday morning.
9:05 am
i'm the guy that put up howard dean. i did it. my fault. ashley: that says it all. stuart: let's look at polls, there's really is a shift and still in progress and it is going in trump's favor two. new national polls, they show a statistical dead heat, university has hillary leading by one point. the new investors business data tracking poll shows trump up by 1, again, statistical dead heat, 44-43. lock at this, huge crowd yesterday, you don't get a sense of it but it was a big crowd for governor pence. that was in virginia. that was yesterday, perhaps that explains why tim kaine added a last-minute stop in virginia tomorrow. washington post columnist is with us. we are over here. [laughter] >> good morning. stuart: i want your judgment, i
9:06 am
have gotten up at the top of the show and said there was momentum towards donald trump in the polls and i wonder if there's time for him to convert the momentum to a victory on tuesday, i want your judgment? >> what do you say? >> who knows, we are here, we have gotten this far. everything donald trump does is surprising. it seems almost impossible that he could pull it out at the last moment but as you say the polls shows there's a trend and seems to be momentum behind his camp ape and i think, you know, the intensity factor is something that you have to take int consideration. stuart: you work for the washington post. >> correct. stuart: not exactly to donald trump.
9:07 am
>> i don't think for the washington post, you doe know that? stuart: i do now. >> no one tells me what to write nor has anyone suggested that i change something i write and i've been on my own here from day wasn't, in fact, i was way ahead of the rest of the people that felt that donald trump was not tempmentally fit for the election. stuart: no matter who wins, can our society is coming together? >> it depends. if hillary wins and the republicans hold the house and senate, then we are going to be in dead lock for the next four years and they've made clear that the republican, republicans in congress intend to come after her and want to see her impeached.
9:08 am
stuart: president obama pardoning hillary clinton if she wins this election or even if she doesn't, that would be quite a political development. >> he letter act quickly. i don't know when we are going to get the results of the latest investigation, but, you know, hillary clinton hasn't been indicted yet so i wouldn't raise forward to the pardon. but, you know, the reason -- one of the things i have always talked about when it comes to donald trump is that there's this x factor out there, the people who would never want to admit that would vote for this person but inside the booth they are going to do it for a lot of legitimate reasons. stuart: great unknown. >> exactly. same thing with hillary clinton. so we just can't predict. stuart: welcome to comeback television. terrible.
9:09 am
it's awful there stuff. please come again and we will give you more time. thanks very much. >> thanks. stuart: that's politics, you viewers should know that's what we do. politics and money, he's here, bryan, business and economics professor at the king's college in new york. all right. everybody in the audience wants to know the answer, what does the stock market do tomorrow morning? >> it does the same thing for the past week. there's no reason why that's going to change tomorrow. you might see some movement within sectors as you see investors start to bet on who is going to win. financial sector would move, energy sector, pharmaceutical move but the broader market is going to do what it has done the last week. stuart: that's an interesting point of view. let me go towards wednesday, we have the results, i hope.
9:10 am
>> that's a big question, actually. do we have the results? >> if we have a firm result wednesday morning no matter which way it goes, the market goes down because of the uncertainty of it all, no matter -- >> if clinton maybe you see a small drop, you're more likely to see relief rally because markets are predicting her winning. if you see trump you see the markets drop. you see some people talking about 5-10%. they are predicting a clinton victory. stuart: clinton victory with a republican house. >> exactly. stuart: stalemate. >> markets like gridlock. stuart: for a while but gridlock forever -- >> relative to big volatile swings in policy that would radically change. that's why you see possible
9:11 am
downside if he's elected. stuart: do i feel that if you get the tax cuts and the deregulation the market goes up eventually? >> trump controls his uncertainty, if he gives more policy detail he can get rid of uncertainty. clinton does not control uncertainty. liz: forgive me. black rock says 50 trillion in cash parked on the sidelines around the world. you do what those deregulation and tax -- by the way, the government has stepped in to major sectors of the economy. you dial that back to cash would come in. >> taxes and regulation, i agree but are concerned of trade policies. stuart: 50 trillion in cash on the sidelines and they see tax cut -- ashley: money comes back in. >> exactly. stuart: glad you brought it up. liz: sunday morning. seven more mondays till

9:16 am
tampering with public records or information, in other words, trying to get people registered to vote in illegal fashion. now, we don't know exactly what they found as it's an on going investigation. the organization is grassroots that works on behalf of democratic candidates. one of the offices in the city of philadelphia and the other in the suburbs in delaware county, which is a very important area for hillary clinton to try to rub up the score against donald trump. the politics, of course, the local republican politicians have been bringing it up but an interesting point to make. the state attorney general, the state police carried out the raids is a democrat and his office is supportive of this. two quick points on this, stuart, first of all, no charges have been charged and second thing donald trump has said if he loses pennsylvania, he could do so because there's been some sort of cheating. we are not close to a position

that we would be able to make that leap case. one case and we will see if the attorney general gives us an update. stuart: back to you later. to san diego, california, a news letter from a catholic church has been circulating warning parishioners they will go to hell if they vote democrat. it is a mortal sin to vote democrat if your bishop, priest, deacon tell you to do so, you must walk away from them, your immore tale soul and saflation are at state. father jonathan morris is with us now. >> i did not write that, for the record. as hillary clinton even described, late-term abortion

that she's supportive of. it's not as simple if you vote for democrat, you're going to hell. no doubt. specially in this election, i would say, there are grave reasons for concern among many very good practicing christians for the other side, can we trust this man, his temperament, can we trust to be pro-life, what is he going to do to the fabric of our nation in terms of bringing people together, dividing, a lot of serious concerns. so you have to look at not only what am i -- what platform am i voting for but what would be the consequences of my vote. if i vote pro-life, for example, will there be a pro-life agenda or turn out to be worse, that type of thing. stuart: soul is not in danger depending upon my vote? >> no, not republican or democrat but if you are using your vote to intentionally support something that is evil,
9:19 am
well, then, yes, of course, that's called sin. many people will be voting for someone who they just don't like, hey, it's not as bad as the other one and that's very legitimate as well. stuart: next one. pope francis calling out governments for saving banks not people, he also, this is important, he also urged countries not to take in more migrants if those migrants would not assimilate. that latter point, father, a very important, what does the holly father mean by assimilation, surely not conversion to christianity? >> no, over and over again pope francis talks about getting rid of walls, don't build walls but embrace people who are coming in but then he made the very important distinction which not many people are reporting, i'm glad that we are, that a government is the one with the responsibility to determine the level of immigration and part of that determination should be -- assimilate. will they become part and take
9:20 am
on the goals of that country and that's the responsibility not the pope, bishop or anyone but the politician, it's a great responsibility. stuart: perfect and legitimate that the holly father should look at the humanitarian concerns, that's his spiritual concerns, is it not? >> yes u both issues are humanitarian, the levels of imtbraición also -- immigration also matter. >> i have three masses next hour. momentum is with donald trump, however, latinos may still be a problem for campaign. this is a new york times, presidential election high early turnout among latino voters could mean trouble for donald trump. and here is donald trump on hispanic voters from yesterday. roll that tape, please. >> how many hispanics do we have here? and by the way, that's a big story, you know, as you know, the cubans just endorsed me, they gave me the association award. we will be making a much better deal than they made with castro. that's another story that's turning out to be very big, the hispanic vote is turning out to be much different than people thought. stuart: trump. let's bring republican from florida. congressman you have to be worried about the heavy early turnout of latino voters. i know you're smiling but you
9:54 am
have to be worried, tell me. >> well, i think it's hard to extrapolate from early voting because does that mean that there's going to be lower turnout on election. we have seen general voters of all different background gravitate more toward early voting. i think the answer is we don't know. donald trump as he mentioned will do well with cuban americans. romney got whipped with puerto rican americans. i don't know that donald is going to be much better or much worse. the democrats should be worried. you have seen reports declining share of african american voters in early vote and they were the bull work for president obama. he won 95%. so if they're trading in increase in hispanic votes for decline in african-american votes that's probably going to be a net loss for democrats just because the african american trend harder democrat than hispanics do. stuart: their average of poll

within the state of florida puts hillary clinton, i think, about 2 points ahead, there you have it. i'm trying to do the math here. that's just about 1 point. are you encouraged by that? >> well, i think it's tight. i have seen everything from a trump lead in private polling 2 or 3 points. i have seen hillary up 4 or 5. donald trump has the momentum right now but as you mentioned with all the early votes, we've already had i think 60% of the voters who are projected to vote have already voted. having late momentum is good but if you're talking about a narrow slice of the pie it's harder to move some of the numbers. stuart: fantastic election. we are fascinated by it and i'm sure you are too. you have a lot at stake. frequent guest of the program and a great one today. thanks for joining us, sir. >> thank you. stuart: take a look at one of the trump stocks, well, they outperformed hillary's stocks last week. we don't have to get -- ashley:

no. the defense sector will be protrump because of trump's promises for a stronger military. that makes sense. among the trump stocks johnson johnson & johnson. pfizer has been going down. that's up 19% year to date. i think it's very hard to take each individual stock and say this is influenced by one candidate or another. you is give some generalizations, there's no doubt about it. biotech is not going to do well in hillary clinton because they want to slash prices, you could say that. stuart: as the election gets closer and trump seems to be on the roll have stocks gone up or down? >> done but not at the pace than hillary clinton's has. stuart: my head is spinning. they need to get on the path to victory. hillary has more paths to the area. here's what the "washington post" says. if he loses florida, north carolina, pennsylvania, ohio is moving towards trump. he could swap in michigan, new hampshire and wisconsin and be in the path of the jury. stuart: the bottom line is battleground states are spending towards him and that really could the election. lisa booth, do you think this move towards trump is strong enough with only two days to go in the electoral college to suing him over the top? >> it could be. obviously we'll find out on tuesday. he does have the momentum we see in battleground states. the fact hillary clinton is going to be in michigan this late in the game is incredibly problematic because this doesn't typically happen. that's a big deal. i'll tell you about michigan real quick.

statistics. >> that's the "washington post." they compared the number of jobs created by reagan that the number of jobs created by a bomb and so forth when reagan had a much smaller population, smaller economy. barack obama has performed better than ever rich president we had before abraham lincoln. stuart: it's got to be said if hillary clinton wins the presidential election and she is the president-elect, i don't think she can get much done if it's a republican congress. you don't get free college. you don't enhance obamacare. you make a big infrastructure package but that's it. >> i think they'll get an infrastructure package. that depends on how the senate falls out. if democrats win the senate ryan will be on the defense. if they lose, ryan is in the cap perceive. simply next time around so many democrats are it would fearful of going against the

overall -- stuart: there is a fairness. i see your point. when a woman raises her voice, raises the decibel level, it tends to go off. >> even if donald trump -- neither that is appealing. stuart: let's give her a break. so much more to talk about including the lack of discussion of policies. what i would like to see, margaret thatcher speaking forcefully. they return the mica. we are very fair. look, here's the latest thing. four days ago paddy power, the british boating operations at the donald trump had a 15% chance of winning.
10:28 am
now today it is a 36% chance talking about a swing towards donald trump. that's the break though. we will also bring you this. thousands of people in masks take into the streets in london, clashing with police. this is part of a demonstration for the million mask march. happens every year protesting capitalism. you are not allowed to wear a mask within one mile. dozens of people arrested. the filmmaker asks white liberals about voter ids. they are racists and suppress the vote they say. more transfixed in a moment. >> they are usually pretty racists. they are way to perpetuate.
10:31 am
stuart: we are on top of it. that is ivanka trump. an appearance that we are going to call a town hall. i believe she's taking questions. she's doing that right now. there is a real shift, you know, in the polls towards donald trump, however u latinos may still be -- some bit of a problem in a couple of state. fox news contributor and latina is with us now. these particular states are florida and nevada where there's a lot of early voting by latinos. now, that could be a problem, could it not in two very important states? do you think it is a problem? >> well, it could be and is something that they should be concerned about. they are saying 200,000 voters
10:32 am
more than -- voted early than did in 2012 in florida. look, we don't know yet what that means, it could be that these are not new voters but rather people who would have normally voted on election day and they're just voting early so it doesn't necessarily they expanded or democrats registered a whole bunch of new voters. that said, it is a concern, the other point that i would bring up, stuart, is we don't know how many people are going to vote. many cubans, for example, who are open to the idea of opening with cuba and the obama administration have been very disappointed lately because they feel that there have been bad negotiations done and only empowered the regime there and so there's a lot of people that are still very upset with the obama administration and, remember, we have 3 million more hispanics living in poverty than we did than obama elected an she has promised to continue that --
10:33 am
those policies. so i think it's -- we are not sure how it's going to shake out yet. stuart: okay, now we are going to show our viewers again, president obama doing an interview with a latina, latina tv network i should say and asked about illegals and voting. you have seen it before. hold on a second. our viewers might not have. listen to this. >> many of the millennials, dreamer, undocumented citizens, i call them citizens are fearful of voting, so if i vote will immigration know where i live, will they come to my family and deport us? >> not true. and the reason is first of all, when you vote, you are a citizen yourself and there is not a situation where the voting world somehow are transferred over and people start investigating and the same to the vote, is strictly confidential in terms
10:34 am
of who you voted for. stuart: rachel, i think president obama should have come right out and said, if you are not a citizen, if you are illegal or undocumented, whatever expression you want to use, he should have came out and said it up front? >> absolutely. i don't know if you showed that, she said in her question that she considered dreamers who weren't citizens to be citizens. stuart: correct. >> so he's clearly indicating that he thinks that you should go ahead and vote if you think you're a citizen whether you are or not. this is outrageous stuff and i tell you what, it's the kind of cynical move that i believe that won't play well with many latinos. many of them come from countries where they have seen elections with corruption, they have seen that rule of law is the reason why they come to america, i think it's out rainlous that the president of our country is sort of creating a situation that makes it look like it's okay to
10:35 am
vote when you're not a citizen. it's outrageous. >> yes. stuart: this is paul ryan echoing calls for republicans to come home. just watch the tape, roll it. >> i walked into the city hall in wisconsin about two weeks ago and i kept my ballot, i voted for donald trump and mike pence, i voted for ron johnson, i voted for every republican i saw on the ballot. do you know why i did that? because it's time to go come home and go out and vote. stuart: is that enough to get republicans behind trump so that trump wins wisconsin, is it enough? >> yes, paul ryan is hands down the most respected republican of wisconsin. he carries a big stick in this
10:36 am
town and in the state and i'm telling you, that will make a difference. stuart: thanks for being with us on a sunday morning. >> you got it. stuart: hillary's growing e-mail scandal and, yes, it is growing. new reports that she had her made print emails for her. revisions to the iran points, marina is trying to print for you. marina is the maid. former cia operation officer is here. the article goes on further that the maid was asked to print out president obama's daily briefing from the cia.
10:37 am
i mean, you're a cia guy. at least i think you are, i don't know that you can confirm that or not, you know, that did you want go down well, does it? >> no. this is just one more -- you know, the term drip, drip, drip was used but this is a big plop that lands. this is a big mess. the thing that's important for listeners to understand, for viewers to understand is that -- there's not much in life that's plaque and white but there's a lot of gray, there are things that are black and white like rules. it's illegal to provide classified information and it doesn't way what type of classification, it could be secret or confidential to people who don't have clear answers. now, unless marina santos, house manager for secretary clinton
10:38 am
who was running in washington, d.c., unless the government wants to tell me or her team wants to tell me that marina santos had ticket to handle classified information, they allowed her into to into a skiff. you can't go in there unless you have clear answers. they allowed her to go in there to retrieve documents off a secured fasm machine which they also would send copies or portions of the president's daily brief. stuart: that's what i want to get to, the president's daily briefing, isn't that ultra secret. isn't that from the cia directly on his morning. the world situation here it is. >> if i'm still on the job and targeting a foreign government and i can get a hold of putinor
10:39 am
xi in china, you know what, i'm going to be promoted so fast your head will spin. [laughter] >> this is astounding stuff. here is the other thing. if i'm targeting an official like a secretary of state, if i'm a foreign intel officer, you know who i'm going after, i'm going after the house keeper, the house manager, someone with access to that environment, the home, if i find out that that person that i'm targeting, house keeper, house manager has access to secure information because they're allowed for some unknown reason to run into a skiff, it's a winner, home run right there. stuart: we are both exacerbated. let's both calm down. we will get back to you. i want to deal with us, the u.s. is warning of russian involvement in the election, possibly through a hack, what have you got, liz. liz: basically they are warning that they could hack into the system here in the united states, the voting system, swamp
10:40 am
the polling information system, put a bogus results. the u.s. voting systems typically are not connected to the internet, it's more about defrauding the results. now we are tracking that u.s. militaries is telling the media, certain media at we can retaliate, we have our own cyber weapons, we have mal where we can plan in telecom or electric grid. stuart: mike baker, is that a credible threat to electoral system and credible counterthreat for us to go after them? >> well, this is a really americay -- mitigating merky area. how do you seat the lines when you determine you need to go proactive, on the offensive? is it a credible threat, yes, it is. if the public knew -- if the public knew not just electoral system, infrastructure, but if the public knew how many times daily our infrastructure,
10:41 am
commercial infrastructure, public infrastructure was probe, targeted by state sponsored perpetrators, by persistent threats, by individuals, they won't sleep at night. we have the best team out there stuart: i'm glad you came in on sunday morning. thank you, mike, good stuff. >> thank you. stuart: if you're a frequent viewer of this program you know i take issue with the word impactful, now a view -- has challenged me, muah. we will tell you what the viewer said about me in just a moment. first this, get ready for a super move happening november, this could be a once in a

stuart: new fresh leakage this morning about buyers from cnbc john harwood, the gentleman on the left. ashley: chief correspondent back in september of 2015 he had an interview coming up with jeb bush, what does he do? he contacts john podesta under the subject line, what should i ask jeb in speak easy interview tomorrow. he goes onto say, i have this interview, what questions should i ask, he's asking the chairman of the clinton campaign, so one would think that mr. harwood would be able to come up with questions on his own but apparently not. stuart: would you express my exasperation for me? >> this is absolutely horrible. stuart: political editor correspondent, washington, d.c., correct?

he's working with by and for the clinton campaign. >> and a debate moderator. my god. stuart: i think my exasperation knows no bound. film maker is back, he's got a new film, this focus is on voter id laws. let me explain this. first, he went and asked white liberals what do you think of voter id laws, fair to minorities, watch this. >> do you have an opinion of voter id laws? >> they are usually pretty racist and they are bad. >> voter id laws are a way to perpetuate racism. >> would you -- >> for sure. >> do you think suppressing the african-american vote? >> definitely. >> they don't live in areas with easy access to dmv's where they can get identification. >> there's black voting with how

10:48 am
