there's a real big push to come out of the eu from their five and changing their constitution as well. that's what needs to be done there. so many unanswered questions but we have to lock at brexit because there is a big, big warning because the way brexit is being done in the uk is not necessarily a good advert for leaving the eu at the moment. lauren: xaps to the banks, james. eight banks could fail if there is a no vote? >> if this vote is no, there's uncertainty and what the feeling is that people will be going to the italian will be going to banks and withdrawing the cash and old-fashion run on the banks which is what caused a lot of issues, of course, in the euro zone crisis previously and when you have that sort of move, then there's going to be worries.

a tax cut but a simplification, it will lower the margaretnal rate which will spur investment. peter: top tax writer in the house republican kevin brady, chairman of the ways and means committee echoed mnuchin's comments yet. the only way is to eliminate the hundreds of special tax provisions for some and so that's what we are proposing to you, significant trade-offs to move this. peter: brady said republicans are waiting for more guidance on how to proceed on tax cuts and tax reform. the two sides are talking now, the tax outlined mr. trump released in august when campaigning suggested every taxpayer including top earners would get a lower tax bill. it also said his plan to income thresholds would be very similar to the house republican tax cut plan which has the same rates as mr. trump. here are the income thresholds. a couple making 175, anything

nicole: dow is looking at four weeks in a row and see if we can close today and closed record high. the s&p futures are down 7. nasdaq futures down 26. the dow has been higher and energy stocks have been higher. tech stocks have been to the downside. down 2.7%. we haven't seen that in ten months. lauren: we have, let's take a look at commodities. 11.73 an ounce and oil no longer at $51 a barrel. it's down 59 cents at 50.47. maybe there's concern that the opec and russia production cuts maybe they won't really implement those cuts. nicole: let's take a look now at johnson & johnson, it's been order today pay more than one billion dollars to six plaintiffs who say they were injured by hip implants. a federal judge in dallas found the company's metal on metal hip implants were defectively designed.

movement. what does it mean to the united states when we talk about votes in italy, we have seen votes in austria, presidential elections in germany next year, how does it relate to investors next morning and the week ahead? >> well, i think it's very much, you'll be looking towards the week ahead of me, there's worries in terms of equity markets. if you look at the downside that you could have on the back of a no vote. nicole: that's actually a great pint. on monday morning, a no vote means what for u.s. markets and a yes vote means what for u.s. markets? >> for me a no vote makes markets are ub -- unwinding a little bit. the negativity from this point of view that would hit the banking and financial institutions would unwind markets that we have seen. of course, they rallied so strongly. they do have some kind of correction in them, of course,
