i always break down the announcement into two parts. what have we done in the past that's a typical how to dig do against estimates and maybe more importantly what they expect in the future. i expect they will have strong earnings. it has been a good time for banks. in particular note especially companies like bank of america that are so heavily entrenched in retail i think they will be very bullish on the future. both with the lending area but maybe more importantly the whole with interest rates going up. they tend to make a bit more money. overall it will be a very positive set of announcements. >> they have led the stock market rally. do you think they've gone too far too fast. that always depends on if you are a trader or investor. i am amazed at the run.

thinking about interest rates and trading activity. >> i'm glad you focused not so much on what they hit as far as earnings but you mentioned the most important word guidance. i think they will a look at interest rates. that's funny. earlier in one of the segments the fact that pandora is cutting back lowe's is cutting back. those are troubling signs for the economy and you have to remember that bank stocks always kind of run afterwards they don't power the economy. if a lowe's is not growing and shrinking their you want less loans. the deck and a need less for expansion. look for the guidance if they think the economy will be strong going forward.

do you think that will help to keep the market up. a lot of people thought maybe it was an interest rate rally. do you think overall the fundamentals of u.s. companies will take that higher. syndicates can have to at this point. we have what i call the optimism rally. i am more optimistic at what trump is president. at this point for the last week or so as we start to enter the earnings season you've seen stocks like bank of america just kind of pausing at their eight year high for bank of america waiting to see if earnings will power this market forward. the last time bank of america exceeded their earnings estimate. if they do that today i definitely think you can see down 20,000.
