kennedy. it's been a day of intense rhetoric and mudsling. but an unmade truck advise years calling it a massive success. trump signed the executive order friday night. it indefinitely bands syrian refugees from entering the u.s. halts the refugee program for four months and bans travelers from predominantly muslim nations for four days. that led to protests all weekend long. more than 100 travelers were reportedly prevented from entering the united states. trump this morning defended his order, tweeting of course, quote, there is nothing nice will searching for terrorists before they can enter our country. this was a big part of my campaign. study the world.

somebody who has the vetting of respected d.v. area conservatives. and all three of those judges do. if president trump sticks to that script i don't think there will be a problem. there will be opposition and fireworks but no real problem in the end. if on the other hand president trump goes rogue and ignores the experts, choose somebody on the basis of that person's likelihood to sustain his things like the travel ban order and things like that. that could be a lot more controversy. dagen: there is a report out that $10 million are ready tore trump conservative groups to run ads against senators who vote against this. >> there is a at stake on personal liberty, sexual freedom. i think that's one reason i

dagen: president trump and the president of mexico were suppose to meet tomorrow at the white house. but as you know that meeting fell apart after trump issued an executive order to get the ball rolling on building the border wall. mexican rights advocates are openly mulling ways to fight back. everything from a boycott of mcdonald's to kicking the dea out of mexico. mexico's foreign minister claims some meetings could happen this week after all. but there is no question the rift could have a ripple effect for both countries. here to discuss, fox news political analyst and co-host of

"the five," juan williams. how will this play out. it seems like there was a phone conversation between the two presidents. i argued the president of mexico didn't come here to save face. >> he has to save his political hide. at the moment he's the least popular president in the history of mexico given his meeting with trump during the campaign which caused waves of anti-trump sentiment in mexico. and now this. and he was on the line. he was still coming. he sent representatives to washington to meet with the president. the problem i think is he wants to make sure this doesn't escalate. he doesn't want to get it to the boiling point. dagen: what is the boiling point? >> a trade war. he says mexico is not paying for the wall. and mexico's pride and ego is at stake. what you are hearing from the

members cans, they see this as an attack on their national pride. so they are hurting. so from pena's position, he is not in the mood to now get involved with a trade war because he doesn't know how that plays out. he doesn't want it to start. >> one idea that would certainly float it would be work on what they call the border adjustment tax. itl would be a tax on imports from mexico and potentially all other countries as part of this tax reform. but this wall -- you look at what he did over the weekend. president trump with the travel ban. he's making good on what he told his voters what he was going to do. he's going to build that wall in some way and 0% tax on imports to help pay for it. you can even have a bored crossing tax.

mexico will pay one way or another. >> i don't agree with that. you forget mexico has leverage at the table. they can do things like start taxing american corporations doing business in mexico. there are lots of americans who live on the other side of the border. they can start calling them out and start harassing them. even if you understand this, that this could be a tax or border crossing fee. you have to understand, given the emotional investment mexico has in not having a wall. we are going to see some fireworks and blowback. dagen: what about latinas in the united states. how are they reacting to this? >> not well. i just wrote a piece for "the hill." it's the first cabinet since reagan not to include anybody who's latino.

>> in the article i wrote i's arguably more shameful baits was 66% of the latinos voted for hillary clinton and the democrats. so why without have larger representation of latinos. for the most part they have been the silent partner. they have only recently become the major minority group in the country. blacks say we have been here and we had this fight. as a result the rise in latino political power has been somewhat retarded, delay offed from what it should be. because they are a major player in american politics. and turnout for latinos is not what it is for blacks. dagen: what changes? juan williams, good to see you. will people notice that the next jurassic park c'mon in, pop pop! happy birthday!
