7:47 pm
there is this kind of stuff going on, but imagine a republican lawmaker going to his home district with a plan to replace obamacare, something to talk about with an action plan on a up in of things, i think it would be a different dynamic. of course, the left is going to oppose he single thing they do. lou: you are saying the continued promises of congress maine not delivering on their promises are being met with objections from their legitimate constituent? >> you and i were discussing in the break that the 7th anniversary of the signing of obamacare and republicans still have never agreed on a single plan to replace it. lou: congressman gohmert raising the fact that there is considerable scepticism within the house, that the leadership
7:48 pm
of the house is authentically working to advance president trump's agenda. what do you think of that? >> i think there are some real differences between the president and congress on a number of issues. do they have the say priorities on taxes? they don't have the same priority. and they don't have the same priorities on entitlements. i went to a lot of donald trump rallies where he said you paid for your social security and you are going to keep it. i think he meant the same thing about medicare, that's a different point of view than the republican leadership. trump talked a lot about waste in the military as well. he was talking about a $54 billion increase, but political think i'm not sure you can if you are any increase in military spending without talking about waste in the pentagon.
7:49 pm
there is a lot of it. >> this president has a commitment that must be fulfilled. ryan may be suicidal. but we'll find out. i don't think the house itself is made up of immensely depressed personality like the speak per might be. this is a president who deserves to have the support of his family. we have watched this joke with the leadership in the house for years. and it doesn't go anywhere very pleasant. >> this is a unique situation, probably worse than anything earlier because we had this weird dance that the speaker of the house did with the nominee of his party. and never really endorsing and keeping his distance. we have never seen that before. lou: ways your sense of it. the confirmations are getting
7:50 pm
through, we can expect to see wilbur ross getting through. and ryan zinke move through for you the interior for confirmation presumably in the next sathe -- next day or so. >> this is a bare minimum. i did an interview with attorney general sessions today. i said you were the first senate confirmed trump appointee in the justice department and usual the only one so far, right? and he is the only one it's a big problem in a lot of the departments. lou: people talking about an independent prosecutor. right now the justice department, they are all obama holdovers under attorney general jeff sessions. it would be the same thing as having an obama justice department investigation.

7:56 pm
of the dems. the left. to disrupt the president's address. >> the disrespect is uncocionable that they are doing this. i have got texpect we'll be ready for this. there are things you don't do. this is the office of the president, it deserves respect. they are doing such disrespectful things to this president. lou: cannot the speaker of the house and the majority leader of the senate order the agent at arms to -- the sergeant at arms to remove anyone who becomes disruptive? >> yes, there are rules in the chambers, even for house members. we are not allowed to wear buttons promoting things for or against. the sergeant-at-arms would have the authority to remove disruptive people. lou: i can't imagine anything
7:57 pm
other than complicity on the part of the speaker of the house and the leader of the senate if they don't maintain order. >> i'm not part of that group, but i have to assume we'll respect the president in our house. if they have to pause and clear the chamber i suspect that's what they should do. lou: that being the case, i would certainly hope so. i hope mcconnell and ryan are under immense obligation to do precisely that. let's turn to the white house. the white house will present a bold plan. we are assured president trump will be laying out a plan for the renewal of the american spirit. renewing america. >> making america great again. imagine the future when our children and grandchildren live a better life than ours. imagine a future when our military is not depleted. imagine a future when we are anding up to our enemies,
