working to advance president trump's agenda. what do you think of that? >> i think there are some real differences between the president and congress on a number of issues. do they have the say priorities on taxes? they don't have the same priority. and they don't have the same priorities on entitlements. i went to a lot of donald trump rallies where he said you paid for your social security and you are going to keep it. i think he meant the same thing about medicare, that's a different point of view than the republican leadership. trump talked a lot about waste in the military as well. he was talking about a $54 billion increase, but political think i'm not sure you can if you are any increase in military spending without talking about waste in the pentagon.

there is a lot of it. >> this president has a commitment that must be fulfilled. ryan may be suicidal. but we'll find out. i don't think the house itself is made up of immensely depressed personality like the speak per might be. this is a president who deserves to have the support of his family. we have watched this joke with the leadership in the house for years. and it doesn't go anywhere very pleasant. >> this is a unique situation, probably worse than anything earlier because we had this weird dance that the speaker of the house did with the nominee of his party. annever really endorsing and keeping his distance. we have never seen that before. lou: ways your sense of it. the confirmations are getting
