lauren: oil prices are firm in at $52.60 a barrel up about 7%. gold given that two bucks, 12.55 a tray on spirit and very busy week for investors coming up this earnings season gets underway and political risks around the globe strengthening. joining us now, break you in, chief market strategist at first frankly. good morning to you, sir. >> good morning. how are you doing today? lauren: "the wall street journal" says we are expecting the strongest quarter for corporate profits in six years. are these expectations too high? >> you know, i really don't think so. you know, we started at the year with expectations around 8.99%. we really believe that our friend bill coming closer to 12, 12.5%. this is a dollar story in her mind. we went through the recent profit recession with the skyrocketing dollar and 24 team

third quarter to 2016 and what we see since the election in the beginning of the year, the dollar has stabilized and pull back a little bit. we are expecting multinationals to come strong on the earnings. lea: we've been seeing straight contact and financials. based report later this week. jpmorgan chase, citigroup, wells fargo. so what are you expecting? >> we're expecting pretty stellar reports coming in. the conversation about the financials has been talked about quite a bit. what we really need is some policy and regulatory reform and financials will even perform better going into the coming quarter. lauren: and what about technology? >> well, technology has been our friend for many, many quarters. recently this year we see kind of rotation on materials, industrials going back into technology as the trump trade kind of stabilizes right here. we still like technology.

lea: and what are the sectors you like you're in the sectors as you avoid right now? >> typically relate to do individual place, but on a sector story. we do like the health care technology and the horse financials. i must say with the financials that it come at the administration and congress can't move fiscal policy followed, which is essentially the new fad. you know, i think it would be some trouble in the financial trade. again, we like the industrials. lauren: do feel like this is a market that no matter what wants to climb higher, the headline number for the jobs report a big disappointment. the u.s. at the missile strike in syria, gas stocks barely declined. >> yes. we just came out of a corner with the lowest volatility to data cited over 51 years. you know, this market is very strong. any tips or bought up

viewing, chief market strategist with first franklin good welcome back. you mentioned you like health care stocks. why given the health care bill being worked on in washington. why? >> well, you know, why did it not work? the bill did not work because it is not working together. lea: why do you like health care? >> i like health care because i'm a technical basis we like how it is back this year. year to date it is up 8%. it is a sector rotation after a selloff last year. lauren: we see pretty had market valuations. we are expecting to see the best quarter in about six years. you don't think the valuations right now are too high. why? >> you know, that is a great question. as i mentioned before, we traded the upper end of the ratio range

and we think there could be a reason for that. with the monetary policy, low interest rate, you have the administration dangling fiscal policy out there, but the structural change from the pensions into the 401(k). he also had the largest move from active to passive funds. we feel with all of that combined that maybe this range is justified here and maybe it's actually below where it should be. lea: after the missile strike in syria, wonder how concerned you are with clinical risk and you you see geopolitical influence is holding investors back this week. >> you know, if you think about what we've been through all this year, the market is just strong and holding up well. reluctant to sell off attending is. they want to dial back their bond buying and also with the rate coming. we think the real issue, but most important one is the fiscal

that is just to tell the north koreans that we can -- and the chinese for that better than we can walk and chew gum at the same time because we're involved in syria, does it mean they're not paying attention to what's going on in east asia. the message to the japanese is quite similar to that. we are back, we will use military deterrence which our military deterrence on mike beerbohm administration. nobody's had a solution to this north korean problem. lea: this administration taking strong policy. what are the next steps for trying to stop north korea from developing a nuclear weapons program. some people say a preemptive strike would cause kim jong soon to invade north korea. what are your thoughts on how to actually stop north korea from developing nuclear weapons? >> the most fruitful possibilities for when the president trump is following in
