5:10 am
taylor. how do you feel about the rally? are you feeling good about these numbers? >> it's incredible. we talked about it a few moments ago, unemployment rate, lowest than 2001. we are expecting good job's numbers today. particularly one sect or has caught my eye. i think you will see a lot of growth in infrastructure sect or and nice play to have there before president trump unveils his there dollar plan shortly. lauren: investors might be feeling a little bit, maybe the best word is numb at this point, the numbers keep going up but the data seems to be cooling off in corporate earnings, i ask you, what's the next catalyst for the market? >> that's a great question. every quarter the numbers keep going up. i think the next catalyst will come back, infrastructure and tech, infrastructure, there's a lot of spend to be had there
5:11 am
over the next few years, black stone who launched a billion dollar infrastructure. apple and google lead the way making our lives easier. cheryl: you're talking about infrastructure, i want to go back to that. a couple of things with the breakdown of job creation, manufacturing, that's one of the sectors it'll be interesting to watch if we see the numbers there, wages as well. is there any particular piece of the job's report you think it's crucial to be looking at when the numbers come out? >> the one piece of the job's report that obviously is still not as high i would like to see is the wages. they haven't really kind of picked up. you can still argue and people are underemployed. i think that's something a key thing you want to keep your eye on and like you talked about, you talked about manufacturing having growth and other areas
5:12 am
like construction is going to be booming here with millennials looking like they're finally going to be coming into the market here. jeff, thank you. >> thank you. lauren: the series that everybody has been waiting, game one of nba finals, warriors dominating the cavs. we will have all the highlights n. the markets final day of trading week. good day for stocks. major averages up across the board. dow futures up 58. you're watching fbn:am, first look at morning markets and breaking news.

5:16 am
economists are seeing signs of hire but expectation of 185,000 jobs created, that's down of 21 is thousand created in april. record closes for all for major indices last night. we will see if it happens today. s&p up 3 and three quarters, nasdaq up 14, almost 15. lauren, this is what's happening now. lauren: this is what i like to see on a friday. more of the reaction from the paris accord joined by nick adams of the foundation for liberty and american greatness, also the author of retaking america, crushing political correctness, hi, nick. >> good day, lauren. how are you doing? lauren: my question to you is, what does this do to america's standing in the world, will other nations trust us, will they want to do business with us? >> lauren, i think what happened
5:17 am
with president trump pulling out of the paris climate accord is probably the best thing that happened to america and americans for a very long time because finally the world is being put on notice that america is no longer going to be taken advantage of and america is going to be put first and there's a president that's prepared to stand up every day for american hard-working men and women. president trump said it better, i represent pittsburgh and not paris. cheryl: even here in the united states the white house was split on it, advisers, a lot of ceo's, did not want this deal to go through even the president's daughter wasn't there at the announcement. what does that say to people around the world? >> well, look, cheryl, i mean, no opinion is ever going to have universal appeal but i really think that the right decision was made whether all of these
5:18 am
world leaders want to kind of sing kumbaya and thing climate change is the most important thing. you have to remember that a lot of the world leaders think that climate change is bigger threat than islamic terrorism and so really i don't know that their opinion is worth much. i think what happened yesterday is a great thing for the united states. i think it's going to benefit americans. it's going to benefit them financially. it's got a great impact in terms of what people are going to be thinking about the united states, so whether or not everyone loves it or not president trump is leading from the front. lauren: yeah, speaking of financially there's a story that president trump cited by the year 2040 pulling out of the agreement adds $7,000 to american household's pocketbooks, but speaking of the business community, i mean, you had for the first time ever the ceo of goldman sachs tweeting saying, this decision is a
5:19 am
setback for the environment and for u.s. leadership. what do you say to the business leaders speaking out? >> well, i couldn't disagree with that more and unfortunately many elements of the business community are becoming affected with this political correctness and this kind of orthodox that you have to believe that the polar bears are sweating and the world is going under and it's unfortunate to see business leaders join in on that. i just couldn't disagree more. i respect their opinion but they're not right. lauren: all right, thank you. nick adams, they are not right. good to see you. cheryl: thanks, nick. coming up. another bad day for the mets, first their mascot was fired and then their manager was thrown out of yesterday's game after arguing over the brewers bat boy interfering with one of their fielders trying to catch a pop-up, we will show you all of it and then, oh, boy, more warm weather on the way.

5:23 am
cheryl: time now for sports, game one of the nba finals. the series everybody has been waiting for, warriors against cavaliers, lebron james and steph curry, they hugged it out before the game but kevin durant who stole the show. durant pulls james on roller skates. durant scores the game by 38 points. later james redeems himself with monster dunk. the game is close in the first
5:24 am
half but then the warriors went on a tear, third quarter, curry hits the deep three, he finished with 28 points. warriors win it 113-91, that make's durant's mom very proud. by the way, rhianna was there. there's another story. to baseball, the angels albert pujols look looking for career win. still searching for number 600. baseball rarity. bounces one to third. 5, 4, 3, triple play. it really doesn't happen very often in baseball. it is the twins first triple play in 11 years. sixth inning man pujols up again and grounds out, his quest continues for another day, the twins win it 4, 2-2. another weird day for the mets. fourth inning, bases loads, team
5:25 am
pop-up becomes a huge problem when the brewers bat boy bumps into flores and the bat boy is in play. the manager wants an explanation. the bat boy clearly interferes with and col rinse thrown out of the game and bat boy wishes he was anywhere else at the exact moment. double play but the brewers they still won the game 2-1. lauren: bizarre incident sabotaging our mets. okay, let's do weather before you head out of the door. let's take a look at your friday and weekend forecast. we say good morning to janice dean. janice: i promise some sunshine all day long here in new york city. so 50's for the great lakes, northeast even 48 in maine, warm weather across the south and rockies we have another storm system moving in towards
5:26 am
northern plains, heavy rain across texas could promote flooding here. gulf coast could see new weather as well as sunshine state florida, dryer weather for the northeast and extra storm systems moves in the northern plains and upper midwest and threat for showers and thunderstorms along the gulf coast as we head into the weekend as well as florida, 74 here in new york, 102 in phoenix as well as the threat for wild fires over northern rockies because we will have warm weekend ahead. salt lake city as well, happy weekend, ladies, we will see you later on. cheryl: warmer temps look nice, janice, we appreciate that on a friday. janice: you've got it. cheryl: coming up the trump administration is asking the supreme recourt to reinstate to revised ban on travel. kathy griffin set to explain herself following her photo

5:33 am
we have tracee carrasco. the reaction was fast and furious tracee. >> not good. world leaders vow to stick with the 2015 paris accord without the u.s. amid concerns about the deal's long-term political support and the need to replace billions of dollars at washington pledged in climate change finance. francis president emmanuel macron called trump's decision irreversible but pledged to move forward. >> i call on you to remain confident. we will succeed because we are fully committed, because we are of belief where we are all we all share the same responsibility, make our planet great again.
5:34 am
>> australian prime minister expressed disappointment as well. >> his announcement today from our point of view is disappointing but not at all surprising. it was entirely as expected and as predicted and as promised by him, so and in the light of that, in the light of that knowledge, we are committed to our paris commitments, 2030 commitments, reduction in omissions. >> multiple executives at u.s. corporations tweeted disapproval of president trump's division, tesla ceo elon musk said leaving paris is not good for america or the world and quit one of the president's advisory councils. disney bob iger stepped down shortly after musk cite similar decisions and in first ever tweet goldman sachs ceo
5:35 am
expressed discontent saying the decision by president trump was a setback for the u.s.' leadership position in the world. in his speech announcing that the u.s. would be withdrawing framed the action as act of solidarity with voters that helped him win the presidency. i was elected to represent the people of pittsburgh and not paris, lauren. cheryl: he's willing to maybe negotiate again. >> he is willing to negotiate, but president macron, he said, there's no room for negotiation here. so we will see what happens. lauren: it will take years for us to come out of this deal. investors reaction, they seem to love it. all three major averages -- >> like nothing happened. lauren: tracee, thank you. people killed in the philippines. the man shot tv screens, creating absolute chaos in crowded casino. he stuffed a backpack with
5:36 am
casino chips and fled the scene. victims died died from suffocation and the gunman was later found dead of an apparent suicide. cheryl: terrifying moments aboard united airlines flight yesterday when a bird striked force plane to tush around, the flight from chicago to miami had to shut off one to have plane's engines when they did hit a bird the engine caught fire. this is video from one to have passengers, this is twitter video from tim arnold aboard the plane. a lot of people were terrified when it happened. we would say that the passengers, ok, got onto a another aircraft so they could fix this one. united spokesman said that the pagers will be compensated for inconvenience. lauren: there's been a lot of airline news. catty griffin to set conference today and saying she has
5:37 am
lawyered up. she had hired celebrity attorney lisa bloom and claimed the trump family has bullied her. griffin received major backlash after the photo was published of her holding a bloody mask that resembled president trump. she went too far, she was relieved of her dew as cnn's new year's eve host, press conference scheduled for 9:00 a.m. pacific time. cheryl: more footage coming out of tiger woods dui arrest. dazed woods trying to take breathalyzer test while in custody. >> blow, blow out. blow out. don't suck it, blow out. okay, take a breath in. now blow out. blow out.
5:38 am
cheryl: woods did blow a .0. the progolfer said that a bad reaction to prescription medication caused his condition on monday morning. lauren: well, he's not a liar. last job's report before the fed's next meeting out this morning. economists expects 185,000 new jobs created in may, down from 2011 down in april. in april hiring got a big boost from the health care field. as for unemployment rates that's expected to hold steady matching the lowest reading since back in 2001. the fed expected to raise rates at its meeting june 14th, stay with us for maria bartiromo job's in america series full analysis of the job's numbers, all that starts a half an hour before the report comes out 8:00 a.m. eastern time. caulk about cheryl: talk about all-star panel.

5:40 am
cofounding direct or of digital. >> good morning. cheryl: exclusively you -- steve mnuchin spoke and i want you to listen what he had to say and the reaction on the other side. >> i've always said, i don't speculate on what the numbers are going to be, i don't speculate on where the market is going to be in the short-term. you can see the market is reflecting confidence in the trump administration economic policies, this is about regulatory reform, tax reform, renegotiating trade deals and we are committed to creating 3% sustainable economic growth. cheryl: he doubled down on 3%, can we get there? >> you know right now my money is more on 2%, but obviously the administration is going for 3%. a lot of things he talked about, again, things that are to see if they can get them in place. what's there's no denying the
5:41 am
feeling in the marketplace specially around the job's report right now. one number within the job's report last night we had 37,000 jobs in construction which is a nice gain specifically when it looks like the millennials are potentially coming into the marketplace and building new homes. ic there could be a strong sect or. lauren: you also said that you like technology of stocks, is this a warning sign for the market stock, jeff, the nasdaq was at a record high and we didn't see participation of popular momentum, google, alphabet, they didn't participate yesterday, is that a warning sign? >> great point. some of the stocks are leaders. they get so high. people are starting to look for value play, things that are underperforming right now. when you stocks that continue to hit record high after record high you have to as valued investor start to look at other areas of growth maybe haven't realized the upside.
5:42 am
i don't know the warning side but probably smart not just buying popular names. cheryl: you're right. good advice. jeff, thank you. >> thank you. lauren: coming up we will discuss president trump's late-night plea on restricted travel from several middle eastern countries and guess what, everybody, it's national doughnut day. [applause] lauren: we will tell you how america's favorite cookie is getting in on the doughnut fun. you're watching fbn:am, first look at morning markets and someone get the doughnuts. cheryl: yummy

5:45 am
lauren: good morning and tgif. 5:45 in new york. the trump administration asking supreme court to let the revised travel ban take effect. late yesterday the administration filed two emergency applications with the court seek to go block court rulings against president trump's executive order. world leaders are criticizing president trump's decision to pull out of the paris climate accord. trump called the deal harmful to u.s. interest but says he's willing to rejoin it on more favorable terms. but european leaders reject his suggestion, that the deal could be renegotiated. in a few hours from now we will get jobs in america with 185,000
5:46 am
jobs being created down from 211,000 in april. we are in record territory. dow futures are surging 58 points, s&p up 4, nasdaq tacking on 16. cheryl, that's what's happening now. cheryl: loving the numbers in the premarket. let's keep it up. for more on the travel ban we have been telling you all morning, let's bring in nick adams of the foundation for liberty and american greatness, he's also the author of retaking america crushing political correctness. nick, you've been a face -- fascinating on what americans do right and sometimes do wrong. what's the reaction around the world specially in australia, i know the prime minister there did not like the decision by the u.s. >> well, look, cheryl, fortunately he's not a prime minister anymore. i'm an american these days. cheryl: are you really, congratulations. >> thank you very much.
5:47 am
so look, i really don't take much notice of the australian prime minister because he tends to be more in the president barack obama kind of mold when it comes to world leadership. i don't know that he has much to say. i think it's great that the states pennsylvania and those kind of places where everyday americans are finally being put first. so i really don't think that the president trump should be at all concerned with people around are saying, this has nothing to do with other people. this is about america and americans. lauren: he's not concerned at all. at least he doesn't seem. you can make the argument that pulling out might even save us money. you look at electricity costs, residential ones in the u.s., they are considerably cheaper than in europe, countries like germany. when we pulled out of the treaty years back we also saw progress in cutting our emissions.
5:48 am
do you expect the same to happen this time? >> lauren, i really do. i think we are going to see very positive effects emanate from the decision, even those who are currently throwing up hands in the air and are all exacerbated of president trump's lack of compliance with global orthodoxy, long-term they are not going to have a leg to stand on because americans are going to be wealthier, confident and life is going to be better. cheryl: we will see. do i want to pivot to something that was breaking news overnight besides paris accord. this travel ban, they want to take to the supreme court, the trump administration does, so far the courts are continue today -- continued to reject, do you think we will see anything different from our court in travel ban? >> i think so, cheryl. every country has got the right to determine who comes into their country and the
5:49 am
circumstances under which they come. i think it's absolutely disgraceful that this executive order is being put through the ringer, the way that it is, this is a time to put american safety first, this is the time to put american families first, that's what this travel order tries to do, it's going to be successful at the end of the day. cheryl: nick adams, a new american citizen, by the way, good to have you. >> thanks so much, cheryl. lauren: have a good weekend. coming up crazy weekend for the mets, fist mascot was fired and then they have a run-in with the a bat boy, we will show you what happens after that. checking in on the markets, records expected today, the job's report could change things, however, due out in about three hours time, in the meantime dow up just about 60 points this morning. nasdaq futures up 60. you're watching fbn:am.
