lea: let's take a look at key commodities. lower than $45 a barrel right now and gold higher by two bucks, 12.56 a troy ounce. lauren: the question is this selloff that we are seeing specially in big-cap technology games, we bring chief investment officer and say good morning to you. >> good morning, lauren. lauren: what's your take on technology? >> technology got ahead of itself, you know, before this slide started it was up about 16%, the leading sector. so i think this is a healthy consolidation. is it over? it's hard to say. i still have an overweight on the technology space. so i think long-term this is just a bump in the road, but -- lea: talk about big names, the fang stock, apple facebooks and others, do you think these offer an opportunity right now for buyers? >> you know, i think apple in particularly does -- does offer an opportunity just from the

standpoint that it has -- apple has been so cheap for so long and, of course, there's concern that innovation streak is over, but even if that tapers off a little bit, the stock is still attractively priced. lauren: inflation has been soft, they seemed unfazed by it. the bond market might tell you otherwise. are they out of step here, are they missing something? they have taken missteps in the past in financial and housing crisis? >> it's hard to say, lauren. they say the economic weakness is transitory and they believe the pick-up in job growth and they are positioned for that. the trouble is we can't tell if they're right or wrong until after the fact.

lauren: so do you think they are behind? >> ii am going to give them the benefit of the doubt here. i'm in a wait and see mode. lea: where are you on economic growth? are you concerned about the pace of what's going on? >> it seems that we are going to have double digits earning growth. for me that's what it always boils down to. obviously i watch job growth as well. i think -- i think the economy is going to continue to crank along and should be. lauren: what do you make of oil prices, they were at $44 yesterday. we haven't seen that since november of 2015, what is this saying to you? >> i'm underweight in the energy space. i still think we have way too much supply out there. i think the dollar is going to continue to nudge up which is another negative. not a big fan for energy stocks in general. lauren: opec doesn't seem to be doing much effectively to take supply off the market. >> you know, a lot of the commodity-base emerging markets,

they're starving for cash so they are going to keep pumping oil, i believe. lea: do you think the low gas prices, do you think they'll help economic growth? >> you know, it's funny, we say that all of the time. it never seems to translate through for some reason. maybe one of these days it will. lea: consumers like to see it and you would think they go out and spend more money, right? >> university of michigan consumer sentiment should help that. lauren: gas prices under 3, we don't worry about it as much, it's when you get over that level. i'm glad that you brought up consumer sentiment because for some reason we are confident. >> i know, how about that? it doesn't seem like all the political issues in the country are translating through to -- to the people. lauren: we hang onto hopes for tax reform. good to see you. >> thanks, lauren, thank you. lea: coming up, we will get a reaction from leader of isis may have been killed in air strikes

to make sure they go into raqqah, hit them at the commanding control center and hit supply line bus this was the brutal decision-maker that had to go. lea: we heard claims like this before, the question is this going to be more credible. kristin, i want to go to you, do you think that's now bearing fruit? >> if this report is true, as you mentioned, there have been reports in the past that baghdadi had been killed, if this is true it's huge, number one enemy in the fight against isis and this is a reminder that we do share a common enemy with russia, isis, isis has caused war across europe and the united states. trump has said he's willing to work with any nation and a place where we can go with russia. lauren: does this give putin creditability, steve?

>> ronald reagan trust but verify f russia can verify that they took him out, then this is a big deal and it really solidifies efforts with russia to take isis out. lea: of course, we know we have to question everything that's coming out of russia, we will see what turns up on that. let's turn to robert mueller investigation. there's report that is mueller is opening investigation into the firing of former fbi director james comey. given that relationship, kristin, i want to ask you, do you think that this potentially represents conflict of interest for mueller and will people will be calling for him to resign? >> he should resign, mueller has got to go, the conflict of interest is glaring. the special counsel statute specifically states that mueller is banned from serve if he has a personality relationship with anyone substantially involved in the investigation or the prosecution mueller and james comey are life-long friends,

folks at the fbi say they were attached tat hip while working in the doj. this is incredibly troubling. lauren: good point, kristin, and his investigation seems to be never-ending, steve. now they are investigating kushner, the son-in-law of president trump. >> you're absolutely right. 38 years i spent in law enforcement, i worked closely with fbi agents at the national joint terrorist force, the fbi in my whole life was the role immediate nationwide, it has permanently been damaged because of james comey and robert mueller's relationship as kristin said is really troubling, he has to go and go now. >> to be fair, many agents within the fbi have said that they did support comey and they they respected him when they were working for him. so i just want to mention that. thank you, guys, both. coming up in sports, ricky

a rough week for the nasdaq, nasdaq futures are up 6 points this morning, however, the nasdaq down potentially two weeks in a row. the dow, however, up 25 points this morning on futures, could be up 4 weeks in a row. so a nice streak there. and commodities this morning, oil, it's been a rough ride for oil, 44.72 a barrel. gain today. down four weeks in a row. longest losing streak since august 2015. gold down 12.57 a troy ounce. leave lowe federal reserve raised short-term interest rates. welcome back, rob. >> thanks, lea. lea: do you think the fed is making a mistake by not taking into account the latest weak inflation reading? >> well, they say that this weak inflation reading and the weak employment and economic reports in general will be transitory.

lea: how? >> they think it's going to pick up in the previous levels and spark inflation and that's what they're saying and, of course, we won't know until after the fact if they were correct. i have we have to take them as face value on this. lauren: bond market is saying something else. 2.16, 2.17%, this is the fourth lowest level of the year. we are also seeing the yield curve flatten, more of this story is the bond market saying the economy is not so good. >> a lot of people are saying the stock market is saying one thing and the bond market is saying another thing. typically they don't act -- stocks are doing well, bonds are doing well and means price is going up and what gives there and i think clearly with stocks is the earnings recovery, with bonds there's a global demand for yield that has -- i don't think it has anything to do with weak economic growth, the

economy is sputtering, what have you. so it's a global demand for yield and, of course, the u.s. continues to be the safe haven with all of this political strain going on around the world. lea: that's interesting, overall what sectors do you like for investors and which ones do you recommend? >> i continue to look financials because we will have a yield curve eventually even though we are not seeing right now. that's probably my favorite sector. i also like consumer discretion technology and then i would avoid health care, there's continued talk about come prezzing prices, what have you and commodities as well. lea: what about tax stocks right now? >> even though tech has suffered for the last few weeks, i think it's a bump in the road and they'll regain their mojo. lauren: let's talk about tech stocks, the technology sector obviously is huge and we seem to focus on the popular momentum stocks. >> fang. >> outside of those stocks, is tech healthy?

>> i think overall it is. i think we do focus on those momentum names, those pe ratios are pretty high. you know, our shop would tend to be more in say the apples of the world, a little more than a reasonably priced i'd say. lea: we saw a big selloff, what do you think was behind that? >> i really think, that segment of the market had gotten ahead of itself. it was up 16%, best performing sector in the s&p and i do think with some of the earnings reports, maybe some of the forward guidance was shaky as well. lea: all right, thank you, rob. thanks for being with us. lauren: breaking news to bring you, top military spokesperson in baghdad tells fox news the american military has no evidence to support russia's claim to have killed the head of isis in a recent air strike. this is the third time in its past few weeks someone made a claim that baghdadi has been killed.

investigation so far? >> our nation is in serious trouble because of these leaks and the justice department at this point in time is going to have the clean out every intelligence agency. there has to be a lot of revetting of everyone who works in the intelligence structure of the united states government. i've never seen anything like this in the years i have been in law enforcement. something has to be done now because the leaks are very damaging to national security as well as the recent investigations. lauren: kristin, do you think the leaks say something and the continued leak that is we seep saying about mueller's handling of this investigation? >> i do, i mean, look this seems to be an investigation in search of a crime. there's still no hard evidence that donald trump obstructed justice. he had every right to fire james comey and didn't obstruct justice if he instructed comey to stop investigating flynn. the only crime that we know are happening right now are the continuous leaks to the media

that are meant to take down trump. it's ridiculous -- lea: you're saying there's no obstruction of justice if he did tell comey not to investigate flynn, you don't think it's not obstruction of justice? >> the president has every right -- he could have pardoned flynn, but back to mueller, i think that he needs to resign immediately and if he doesn't trump should fire him, he is good friends with the star witness against the donald trump, everyone in dc say that is mueller is a good-honest guy with integrity but even good and honest people can be influenced by perm connections, that is is why we have ethics rules in place. lea: steve, i want to get your take on that and top aide for vice president pence says that vice president has hired a personal criminal defense lawyer to guide him through the investigations. do you see him now as a target? >> well, he's doing that to protect himself in the event that he is subpoenaed before any congressional hearing or by
