thanks so much for watching. and remember, you can't take it with you. there is one more chance. the station must end this culture eight them. with the security clearances. the department of justice is open for business and i have this morning for would be leakers don't do it. >> jeff sessions putting leakers on lockdown just this week a series of leaks detailing president trumps conversations with foreign leaders his conversations with military leaders. and then the revelation and the special counsel that they

are impaneling a grand jury in the russian investigation. despite all of this stocks are soaring and jobs are jumping. someone said you can kiss this a goodbye. this is bulls and bears. walking to everyone. if it stop the drip drip drip. it is a traitor. not in the same vein necessarily. but they are a traitor to our country. they are also a second undermining the president's ability to get things done. if you look at the presidents who got great things done and in their first year of office they have a mandate you at fdr and ronald reagan.
6:02 am
president trump is losing that right now because of this erosion of confidence in the white house. and a lot of it comes because of the leak that looks like the white house is in chaos. they have a 4.2% unemployment. the gdp was 5%. we are less than half of that right now. we have a gridlock congress who well not get anything done with the repatriation of money is immigration. it all rests on things like this. because gridlock in congress. >> if we don't put a stop to it. can we investigate the ways that they are talking about. does it put at risk. when it comes to the domestic economic.

health reform and tax reform. it is still at 62.9. is pretty low considering historical averages this administration is pro- business. it should be an upside for the market. i'm still hopeful about tax reform. the relationships with world leaders what does that do to the economy in the market. you had been here from day one. the cost of freedom. there is a cost to this kind of behavior. and there is two issues. the one that john brought up
6:04 am
that certainly is an issue and if there is anything embarrassing that comes out. if there is anything illegal that trump did or anything that goes counter to the platform he ran on. that will be damaging but to have this point. i think she have it. you have a new team of staff the next day. mueller this and more that. that seems to be swirling around. so i think people are starting to focus on the business into the economy and they're starting to think i know i am. as much as i would like trump to get something done and i agree with what they said. he is pro-business. his second be any worse than obama. even if nothing gets done i
6:05 am
think the economy still goes along not as high as it could be. can the economy keep chugging along if we have what is with those transcripts. that is a betrayal. it is a betrayal to any world leader that may have a conversation. the entire situation is a hot mess. the president of the united states should be able to have confidential conversations. this is undermining his ability in the white house. to conduct foreign policy but there is a third aspect to this also. it is also showing world leaders and business leaders that the president isn't an smart as strategic as he tries to make himself out to be in these calls. that's not a master negotiator it's somewhat of a joke. and that undermines our ability to project his
6:06 am
strengths whether it's on the economy or on foreign policy. they need to come to a stop. it's so much interesting. we have a president who encouraged leaks to now be suffering from this but we should all look at this as being unacceptable. they want an investigation into the leak of these transcripts. it does but if our relationships with these leaders and inputs of the trade agenda at risk. it makes it harder for us to fight the war on terror and that does impact to the economy. i don't agree with the wizard of oz. the point i'm trying to make is if you are basing your policies and clamping down on leaking and you need that to happen in order to get anything done. there is a green bull market in leaks. and it's been growing for
6:07 am
years now. he went after more people for leaking than any president before him. >> they went after a lot of journalists. >> they just had a huge lead over the next iphone. i can ensure you that has more than half of it coming out of the white house. the best one coming out. let's get away from the stop the leaking and then we will have all of the great policy. in second to go away anytime soon. how about prison to discourage you from leaking. if you are releasing classified information it depends on what you are releasing. this is a crime.
6:08 am
in this case your rooting against her own company. i rooted for president obama also. people out there same it is kind of good that we've got these leaks because we find out that he's not as good as a negotiator as we thought. it's rooting against her own country. that is inexcusable. to quote one of the articles in the national review. for nine seconds of media time somebody leaked the transcripts just so we can find out that president trump as president is president trump is donald trump. you endanger the relationship with all of these world powers and world leaders just for a little bit. i totally agree with that. there should be present. this is illegal. and if trump did not already
6:09 am
for whatever reason have a diminished status in the world they certainly don't help. look at what he thinks he said to australia. god knows what he said on some of the other calls that may or may not be leaked. yes that is damaging but back to the main point. can economy continue to chug along. will people still download a netflix movie, absolutely. thank you guys neil, what you got. do you see that newsweek doesn't show he's actually been quite busy president. just someone that have someone here saint he could be the next billionaire running for the white house. we will see you at the bottom

of the hour. lawmakers flying out of town and leaving a huge to do list behind. it was always a dream of mine to become a professional soccer player, but i never imagined that i'd be playing in kansas city. when i was first elected mayor, they would talk about kansas city, kansas like... i can't wait to get out of here. through the years we lost over 30,000 people. we turned that obstacle into an opportunity. the speedway was the catalyst... and because of the speedway we now have a shopping area and a wonderful soccer stadium. and now we're starting to grow in population. it's extremely important to have financial partners such as citi® who believe in that same vision. this area is now a destination. there's people that come out here for entertainment. there's people that come out here to work...to raise families. and before the stadium was built it wasn't like that at all.

>> we will be in touch in the first two weeks of august. i would prefer to stay the entire month of august but i will take a half a month. we know we have a responsibility in an obligation to get this done in the right decision was made today to say in the august to make sure that we are doing the work of the american people. we will be here the first two weeks of august. centers are packing up and heading out early leaving behind along to do list pushing off action on healthcare and tax reform. until at least september.

would this work in the private sector? >> i work for a company that made me go home and change from mite my blue shirt back into a white shirt. i will be back. i would've been out with on -- within five minutes. this is a problem with congress. it used to be like being on your condo board i guess. you did it for a year or so. he absolutely hated it. then you left and someone else came onto the condo board. they were farmers, lawyers and dentist they came in and they served in congress they left and they went back to their fields. he's been around longer than george washington i think because this is the cushy job in the world. all they i want to do is get reelected.
6:16 am
they want to spend the money from the people in their district and then move onto their next 20 to 27 terms. i need to have term limits and start to get something done. with this fly in the private sector. if you enough time and enough i don't think these guys well have it. if you want to solve the problem they need to vote on a pay raise it with with less vacation. the time that they're wasting by not working cost taxpayers far more than deborah doubling all of their salaries. how is this not appalling? and it certainly would not fly in the private sector. it's not just a to do list. the quality of the work matters a lot.
6:17 am
members of congress are looking at their to do list as something to check off. it's much more important how they do the work than whether or not they do and get it done. one thing i know is that if you're working on a big project. you work seven days a week. he worked about 20 hours a day. the what they've got to do. i know it is en vogue i'm in a say this. they do actually work with a go back to their districts. is a good thing for them to get out of these areas. and actually cure from their constituents. the problem is can it be that a lot of them will go home and
6:18 am
they will be running and hiding from their constituents. but ceos could take a lesson. they could go and talk to their employees. maybe some of the profits that go into their will help grow the economy. they do need to work a little harder. that's what they're doing. you are a fellow a texan. i'm glad you're on the show. but i could not disagree more. i think they would have to improve to be awful. i looked up the worst congresses in history. these guys absolutely blow it away. for seven years they ran on repealing obama care.
6:19 am
these guys cannot get it done. they are awful. potsch: you each drive a ford pickup, right? (in unison) russ, leland, gary: yes. gary: i have a ford f-150. michael: i've always been a ford guy. potsch: then i have a real treat for you today. michael: awesome. potsch: i'm going to show you a next generation pickup. michael: let's do this. potsch: this new truck now has a cornerstep built right into the bumper. gary: super cool. potsch: the bed is made of high-strength steel, which is less susceptible to punctures than aluminum. jim: aluminum is great for a lot of things, but maybe not the bed of a truck. potsch: and best of all, this new truck is actually- gary: (all laughing) oh my... potsch: the current chevy silverado. gary: i'm speechless. gary: this puts my ford truck to shame. james: i'll tell you, i might be a chevy guy now. because it is the amount of agencies that company selling services. have a thing like the fcc does. this is absurd. this is going on this long. we love picking on you. they have an unsubscribed button on that. these calls switch their numbers. i'm not opposed to the government cracking down on the illegal once on the legal once i could care less. what we have done in our house is simple. it's easy to block numbers. they generally don't have
6:24 am
those numbers. let the market take care of it unless it's illegal. the private sectors coming up with solutions for this also. they're not all bad but the illegal once doesn't can go. let me guess. you can of liked the government getting in and getting tough on this. put them in prison. here's the thing i can't get to my mom sometimes if i'm calling from a number she doesn't recognize because she just won't answer her phone. put them in prison. stop the cause. thank you everybody a special thanks to hadley. coming up west virginia's governor ditching the democratic party for the grand old party.

can you imagine trying to close caption jonas.. >> president trump is a lazy boy. a fan of mine and doesn't much had that. i am no apologist for him. but the newsweek cover it's kind of crossing the line. calling him lazy. this president has said that he barely sleeps citing a more executive orders of the previous presidents.
