our intel, a thousand people will be there, they will be armed. the judge would have none of these warnings calling it purely speculative. david: you are being fair to the police department, they always deserve credit, however, the comments by local residents, and some of the businesses about where the police were, when the rioting started. you folks were watching it on fox news and other cable networks for about an hour before you saw any sign of police, one of the local business owners said to washington post, this is a joke, there was no buffer zone between oposing group -- opposing groups. media saw they were beginning to fight, b business people saw, people were calling in to police, it took an hour to get there. >> there is plenty of legitimate criticism of the police and their failure to properly prepare and plan. david: perhaps mayor and governor terry mcauliffe.

and he indicated that he is seriously considering pardoning sheriff joe arpaio. he called him a great american patriot, and felt that he had been treated unfairly by the court system, this man served honorably in law enforcement for decades. and the president and sheriff joe arpaio have always agreed to the problem of illegal immigration, and undocumented workers, the flow of them across the southern borders, sheriff for years tried to staunch the flow, i think that president is somewhat grateful if that regard. but -- in that regard, but he feels he has been treated unfairly. look, nobody should get their knickers in a bunch over this, sheriff joe arpaio of convicted of criminal contempt under very questionable legal circumstances. but it is a misdemeanor, so we're not talking about some serious felony, this say misdemeanor. he probably would not do jail time anyway. i spoke with sheriff joe

nuclear capability, if that op-ed truly represents position of the administration, i think that game is over, you can count on north korea, as fully pledge nuclear weapon state very quickly. david: before you throw in the towel. we had even more recently some comments by jim mattis, general mattis, when seem to contradict, the tough cop coming on again. we just had audio of that, let's play the sound bite. >> if they fire at united states, it could escalate to war very quickly, yes, that is called war, if they shoot at us, if they do, that it is game on. david: that is called war. that is specific hard talk you like, correct? >> well listen, if they fire at us. then it is game on. and that is a simply a statement of united states acting in self-defense. the problem is that the

position that secretary of state and defense argued in this op-ed is they will pursue essentially same policies as last 3 administrations, which have failed and brought us to this point. so capability of north korea to fire at u.s., may not be exercised today but in a year or 5 from now, this is ironic. because susan rice, just concluded in her own op set that policies of last 3 administrations have failed and we should step a nuclear north korea -- accept a nuclear north korea, and now our secretaries of state saying we should continue to follow the policies that she said have failed. david: switching to iran, it is connected, a different country, but iran, i think, is teams to be replacing china -- it seems to be replacing china as one of the big trading partner particularly in dangerous hardware with north korea.

information comey may have signed out. judicial watch said it was the bureau's responsibility to recover documents from comey to keep the documents private. we are joined by christopher farrell, director of investigation and research for judicial watch. we know for a fact he took out his own notes of his conversations with the president. it could be argue those were the property of the united states government. >> those are not his notes. it's government property. he absconded with federal work product. so let's be clear. those are notes taken or made as part of his official duties as the director of the fbi while drawing a paycheck from the united states treasury. those documents, those records belong to the american people,

mills on the state.gov server it's mind boggling. the judge saw how ridiculous that was and ordered the state department to go back and search their emails. this all because of benghazi. bengazi is not going away. david: do you think it's possible you may be able to find an email discussing the stuff that susan rice came out with which we know is not true that this was started not by radicals in the country and terrorists in the country, but by this video. is that what you are looking for? >> we found it. our work-up covered the email that shows hillary clinton emailing her daughter and the egyptian foreign minister saying quote we know it's not a video. that it wasn't sparked by a protest. it was a planned terrorist attack.

republican leadership in the house and senate can't get the job done. >> i think it was a huge mistake for congress to break on a five-week recess. you mentioned a small number of legislative days in september. when you get back five week then you run out of time. i think we should have stayed in washington to do the appropriations bills and the budget and find a way out of obamacare repeal and replace to just quit, leave for five weeks, then come back and say we don't have enough time, that's not what the american people expect us to do and i think it was a huge mistake. david: kevin brady was here and he was optimistic about his own plan. and thank you for getting rid of that border tax. the last thing we need is

another tax. so you were very successful in that. but he is concerned about the senate after the debacle with healthcare. is there any chants same thing could happen? we get a tack bill passed in the house. goes to the senate and fails? >> i share chairman brady's concerns. i think we'll pass a strong tax reform package for the business side and for the individual side in the house of representatives. i think that will happen. having watched what the senators did with the obamacare it wasn't inthat they failed. but you actually had some of the provisions voted on, the same bill that we put on obama's desk last congress, you had six republican senators who voted for it last congress flipped their vote and voted against it. that's the swamp wing out when you see that type of behavior.

david: in our online poll we asked do you think it's time for china to stop aiding and abetting north korea. 97% of you said yes. mollie hemingway and ned ryun. good to see you both. ned, i don't like playing the blame game when something happens like what happened in charlottesville, virginia. but the "wall street journal" had a terrific editorial talking about things that led us to what happened in charlottesville. it's called the poison of identity politics. this means allocating political power, contracts, jobs, and now even salaries in the private sector based on the politics of skin color and gender rather than merit or performance.

a politics fixated on indelible differences will inevitably lead to resentments that extremists can exploit in ugly ways on the right and left. ned >> we should be looking for common ground because at the end of the day we are all americans. what is frustrating me, but i'm not shocked at the total hypocrisy. we should reject white supremacists and the kkk and the alt-right, but we should also be rejecting black lives matter. david: governor mcauliffe did not focus on the violence coming from the left of the political

spectrum yet he received no criticism whatsoever. what i see is a genuine clash of cultures. the culture of the obama administration with identity politics with this new culture trying to get the obsessions on differences away from us. mollie: there are quite a few similarities between the hard left and the hard right when it comes to identity politics. they approach it slightly differently but they are both based in identity politics which is deeply un-american. they try to legitimize violence against political opponents. they try to silence political opponents. it's not a large percentage of the american population and you should keep that in perspective. this is something to be on guard against on both left and right. we have seen a lot of violent

protests throughout the country in recent years from anti-fa and this horrible killing of this woman heather heyer *. this is not a good thing to see this continuation of violence. david: there does reach a point when the far right and far right converge. let's face it. nazi means national socialism. it has socia -- socialism. ned: you look at some of the stuff taking place on the right, they embrace some of tha -- this fascist behavior. when you look at how they want to settle their political

differences. it's not as civilized and enlightened people it's by intimidation and violence and destruction of personal property. they ought to be rejected whether on the right or left. they represent a small percentage. if we want to have a rational dialogue and have a discussion about what we have in common, we have. david: with all the noise coming out on what happened. will the trump agenda be held up, cutting taxes? mollie: it shouldn't be an excuse to hold the agenda up. politics need to work on what they need to do and americans should be coming together. david: we have been coming together on an individual basis all over the country for years and this identity politics takes us in a different direction.
