unbelievable. the disappointment comes at the delays launch of the high-end $999 iphone. it's not going to get the customers until november. >> that's the thing. i was the only thing yesterday that surprised people because the other products are available almost immediately and that's typically how apple launches the product. i don't think it matters. apple reports on october 24th, so that's not going to be part of the sales of the product, which investors were keen. i think people are expecting that in 20 team earnings for the first quarter of 2018 will be really good for the stocks based on the sales of this. your mentioning the $999 price point. apple makes you want to spend the money. i don't even know how else to say it. now they are going to be streaming lines voice.

president trump hosting a dinner last night with senators from both sides of the aisle to gain support on tax reform. will the strategy work? joining us now from the independent women's forum is patrice lee and luca and democratic strategist microstar hopkins. good morning. let's start with you first do you first to this dinner last night. if you look at the attending his brother is joe manchin or heidi heitkamp, joe donnelly, these are the more friendly faces the president met with. but it's the unfriendly as he's got to convince to come across the aisle to talk about meaningful tax reform. >> everybody in the friendly site including republicans before you can turn each potentially friendly democrats and unfriendly democrats. he's picking up those who are easy targets for in-state he handily won last year and saying

hey, if you want to turn this into a good win for you, come on board with us. also many republicans he did not get the ball across the finish line. we cannot afford to let this happen with tax reform. >> the senate will begin to work on tax reform. the 1% break seems to be where you get a lot of yelling and screaming. is that the one issue or something else the democrats will grab onto to abstract president trump's plan to come up with tax reform bill. >> first come i don't think democrats have any plans. republicans have a majority in the house and senate and obviously the white house. democrats can't really abstract here. they can find areas to work together. repatriated funds is absolutely something democrats will do and now we are starting to see the president triangulate very famous democrat though clinton and try to bring his popularity numbers that they figure out how to get an agenda through.

that showing the energy prices are rising. remember that we sized gasoline prices surging because a lot of the oil could not be refined and therefore created shortages. over a longer term about the demand destruction that took place, more than 800,000 cars were destroyed. over the near term you will see lower demand for gasoline as people start to think about getting in replacing cars. >> right now oil prices climbing 1%. would you expect the effects of the economy to be on the job market and also gdp in the near term? >> over the near term we will not get such a strong boost is a god after hurricane sandy. the unemployment rate before the hurricane with 720%. hurricane katrina was 5%. so guess what we saw. after hurricane katrina come at the month before that we had a gain of 196,000.
