would you think will attorney general appoint special counsel? >> i agree with everything david said, but both sides wanted to make their points. these hearings are theater when i worked on the, many of them were theater. each side getting to say what they wanted the public to say about the other side of my don't doubt me to members are sincere about wanting to prosecutor special counsel, they also want to make those points over and over knowing jeff sessions is probably taking it slow with this review and may or may not appoint one. i have no way of knowing that. there were plenty of people in the justice department it should make these determinations. i'm not one that takes we should jump all the time. we have one now with the conflict of interest robert moran that will continue. lauren: let's talk about how democrats are pushing on the

one reason in stock oil are down today. looking out 140-point loss at the opening peer group of gold from "the wall street journal" joins us now. how were the european markets looking? i know they are down. how bad is it what's the reason? >> european markets off nearly%. a lot of that is the falling oil prices. just a week or so ago talking about oil at a two-year high. yesterday demand could actually be lower than it as well as signs of additional supply. that's pressure not just the energy sector, but really bond yields as a reduces inflation expectations that the energy sector will do a lot less investment spending in the years to come as oil prices keep falling. lea: riva, earnings grow stronger than u.s. corporate earnings this year. what is going on there?

>> that's a bit of a surprise given they were expected to suffer as the currency strengthened the currency strengthened, but its global growth has become more broad based, trade has picked up, you see a lot of emerging market earnings growth, japanese earnings growth is better thanks to a push for better than the corporate government expected to back so he outpaced the u.s. in 2017 for the first time in a while. lauren: any that are better than others? >> at the moment ironically the best performing sector this quarter is actually the energy sector and of course tech companies doing really well. even in the u.s. the national oriented have more sales overseas doing a lot better to do so if the economy did the strong. lea: riva gold cup in thank you for joining us on "fbn:am" this
