doj might be challenging this merger and he's not a fan of cnn. does that mean the doj's action is blocking it motivated? there is much more than that. all these reasons the doj thinks this could be bad for competition, bad for the consumer and that her job to make sure it doesn't happen. lauren: let's say this goes to the courtroom, can the president tweets be used? last week in a shed he treated for us to watch cnn, fake news, losers. we know before he was president come as a candidate, he said he would walk such a deal. can any of this press statement and tweets be used against this deal? >> yeah, just like in any other litigation cover any statement made publicly by any relevant person or party could be used in a court of law. what you're also going to see if

at&t demanding communication between the president and the doj relating to this deal. we don't know that right now. certainly, what they can do if there's going to be smart lawyers who are going to say that motivation has nothing to do with competition, nothing to do with antitrust laws, but has to do with the president for political reasons. however, there is a counter the reason for that. vertical mergers with competitive entries that could be at issue. you have somebody in charge of an antitrust division with a different era and how to protect consumers than in the past. all that will come into play. lauren: of mr. dell raheem, he's been on the job about six weeks now. if you look at his past dealings with situations like this another mergers, and he usually argues for something called

lauren: sub for gold from "the wall street journal." is this all part of the challenger in the far right anti-immigration policy? >> it seems as though it is one of the biggest sticking points for angela merkel in forming the coalition alongside energy policy in taxes. there is a lot of worry that this period of uncertainty and germany will delay between its partners in the e.u. and in the eurozone on pursuing further inspiration. from an investment standpoint, not a lot of people are worried about germany, but it could delay the sword of hope for integration a lot of people held after the french election this year. lauren: thank you so much for your youth.
