lou: wildfires are raging in southern california tonight. fueled by the santa ana winds, strong winds. evacuations have been ordered for 200,000 people. firefighters are struggling to even battle at the margin of those five fires in what is that state's worst fire season ever. adam housley is in ventura with our report. reporter: this is a multi-day

weather events projected to last until friday. this has only just begun. >> the beginning of december brought a flurry of wildfires across southern california with hurricane-force winds and conditions tinder dry. the largest and most destructive the thomas fire 60 miles northwest of los angeles in ventura county. it drove tens of thousands from their homes. >> i have again here all my life. to see this happen is crazy. reporter: massive images show the smoke visible from space. the dry conditions along with the santa ana winds are fueling if the fires. >> it doesn't take a lot under these conditions to start a fire. when you put wind behind it

president trump to recognize jerusalem as the capital city of israel. >> it's an important decision because an american president is finally keeping his promise to move the capital city, to move the he bassy to jerusalem. mr. trump is not going to be told what to do by the foreign policy establishment and europe and the united nations. that send a powerful signaling to chien and iraq and iran. -- to china, iraq and iran. lou: it reverses a posture that was fixed it seems in place for 8 years by mountai -- by presid.

of these pass-through businesses. on the individual side we are lowering rates dpramatically. if you are making $76,000 as a family if you are creeping up to the 26% bracket. under both versions you will go down to the 12% rate. we have not been growing enough and people suffer as a result. see you was talking to kevin brady, talking about the tax credits for the children of illegal i am grants in this country who brought in many cases those kids with them. but there is a sizable difference between the senate and house version. and many americans are surprised to learn that their government is giving money to illegal immigrants through tax credits. in the house it's $1,000, it's $2,000 in the senate.

in the senate they don't even require parents have social security numbers or tax i.d. which is readily available to every illegal immigrant in the country. how is that going to be resolved? >> they will have to address that in conference. that's a concern we share. we want to see this issue fixed. we'll trust they get it done. they have been working well together to make sure we get the right tax policy at the ends of this process. we are all working hard to insure that this happens this year. we want the economic benefit for the american family to occur immediately, 2018 is a month away. we want people to get the tax benefit as soon as possible. lou: we want to seat middle class prospering and as the president pits it, prosperity
