more than 70% of americans favor some pathway to citizenship for dreamers. republicans are going to be an in an interesting position in three weeks when we face this because i honestly don't think they can afford a modern day trail of tears if we do not have protection with daca and for the dreamers. cheryl: you are referring to what happened to the american indians throughout history. really quick, senator mcconnell promises they are going to negotiate. they are going to talk about border security and come to the table of bipartisanship. do you believe him that he will ring a bell on daca in three weeks no matter what time even if the dems don't? >> i think he will make good on his promise. will the senate passed the bill? that is questionable. will he get through the house for neoconservative hard-liners taken a stronger position? i'm not sure if it would get through but to have a bill.

industry. what is the biggest change? >> tons of different changes to a lot of really lucrative offers for the big spenders who travel a lot. we are seeing really great bonus points for signing up 40, 50,000 bonus points. significant numbers because the competitive competition is out of control. if you have good credit and you are a big spender, there's some really good credit cards on the market right now. cheryl: they are getting competitive. that is good for consumers. the other side is they expect them to raise interest rates three times this year. what does that mean for consumers? the rates are going to go out. >> that is problematic. they average household of $16,000 in credit card debt. the revolving debt bump to month, if you've got an interest rate of 15% you pay $900 in interest every single year. if you've got a couple of rate hikes in 2015, baghdad is going to get really expensive than the new year. we are over a trillion dollars

in credit card debt. it will exceed that. cheryl: the average household extent thousand dollars in credit card debt. debt is astonishing. the trend you've identified where people go out and take personal loans to deal with basically regular household expenses. why is that so alarming? >> that is alarming. there are better ways to do this. people are using personal loans and exploiting them, using them for travel, personal expenses, entertainment. there are better ways to handle it if you have a lot of credit card debt. the picture situation and figure out the best strategy for you. there is some good offers on the market right now for 12 months, 18 months. don't be one very good way to go. a lot of people take advantage of the 0% offer than the end of charging more.

cheryl: let me ask you about technology. it certainly is changing and credit cards for privacy. trying to get that stuff down. >> there's some interesting things going on there, too. doing away with the signatures, mastercard, american express. some have argued done so by this spring, by april of 2018. they will go more with face recognition technology. obviously cementing china or used in commerce with alibaba to pay service it introduced last fall. the consumers have actually sort of welcomed this technology. doesn't matter whether the issues can balance out security issues and make it all work out. cheryl: we've got some breaking as i got to get to, but thank you for coming in. >> a tsunami warning is now in effect after a magnitude a point
