lou: a group of house conservatives are demanding the committee speed up their investigations of the 2016 elections. they have interviewed only two of 20 witnesses the chairmen themselves identified as persons of interest back in october. my next guest says the slow pace of the investigation is unnecessarily putting the country through turmoil and dividing us as a nation. joining me, matt gaetz.

great to see you. thanks for being here. two out of 20 witnesses? this is the definition of a slow walk. >> there is no special counsel appointed to evaluate the collusion between the hillary clinton campaign and russia. the only people assigned to that investigation is the thanks force and the oversight committee. but that task force only interviewed two witnesses in 2 1/2 months. in the meantime we have an attorney general to who refuses to appoint a special counsel to look into the clinton foundation being influenced by russians. lou: we are talking about a

special counsel in 10 months that has found absolutely nothing to do with collusion. the senate untell jones committee -- the senate intelligence committee says it has found no collusion of any kind. it's prepossiblerrous what the -- it this is absolutely disgusting and appalling. >> the american people lived through the benghazi experience where everybody in washington huffed and puffed and nobody was held accountable. >> we are at risk of never having the clintons held accountable without a grand jury. i think the entire russian

donald trump. gregg: it was ignorance on the part of rosenstein to appoint a special counsel. collusion is not a crime. i have yet to see anybody point to a criminal statute in our codes that makes it a crime. then he compound his felony by giving a clause in the appointment that says oh and anything else you might find along the way. lou: the kitchen sink amendment. lou: democratic corruption conclusion in all of this, and the judiciary and oversight committees, neither is congressman meadows and congressman gaetz point out, two out of 20 witnesses from last

october have been questioned. gregg: he did give a call for a second special counsel. but this is one of the few members of congress who saw the fisa application. he knows the deceit and the concealment perpetrated by the department of justice and fbi that demands a second special counsel. lou: he's playing hamlet here. it gets tiresome, particularly when the people's business requires his focus. gregg: what are you doing your time, trey. wage and smell the coffee and get on with your job. lou: the senate intelligence committee when we last joined

them, they come up with nothing and acknowledged it. gregg: it was predictable. there was never any evidence of collusion. it's all a hoax and the fbi night. they knew they couldn't launch a criminal investigation because collusion is not a crime. so they launched a counter intelligence investigation, gathering of evidence related to foreign espionage. they used that as a pretext to investigate trump and frame him. lou: there is another thing at work we ought to give some consideration to. and that is that the russians played our intelligence agencies for fools. they succeeded in meddling in our election 2016. they did so without reaction from the president. they were not stopped by of any

our intelligence agencies which should be discussedly counter-intelligence driven that they should have been able to discern it and deal with it. and they didn't. now here we are still the russians meddle than has been no accounting whatsoever other than a list of a few names on mueller's list of people he would like to have a thorough talking with should they ever have the bad lucking to show up in the united states. gregg: obama knew what was going on and he failed or refused to take action. susan rice had drawn up plans to counteract it and she said stop it. we are not going do that. lou: chris farrell said she should be prosecuted.

lou: texas law enforcement hunting the person or persons responsible for three package bombs that explode austin. those bombs killed two people,
