lou: police in austin are hunting for what they are calling a serial bomb. a bomber terrorizing the city. a fourth package explosive injured two men. casey stegall is in austin. reporter: austin a city and high alert following this latest attack that unfolded now nearly 24 hours ago in this neighborhood that's still sealed off and have much an active crime scene at this hour. investigators are only saying there are similarities in the explosive device that was used

in last night's attack here and the other three attacks that rocked the capital city. but police say the twice was more advanced with a trip wire. two men came through with bicycled and may have hit that line triggering the blast. they were hurt and rushed to an area hospital and expected to survive. but at one point police wondered whether the attacks were racially motivated. but it seems that is no longer the thinking after last night's attack. here is why. >> what we have seen now is a significant change from what appeared to be three very targeted attacks to what was last night an attack that would have hit a random victim that happened to walk by. we have seen a damage in the
