between kim jong un and president trump? >> he's doing everything he can to improve his position because he knows how weak it really is. it underscores that the united states and president trump have all of the card. time is on our side and we don't have to have any crazy negotiations or give away anything to keep america safe because our deterrence will continue to do that. kim recognizes he's doing everything he can to improve a situation that i'm not sure will work very well against president trump. >> we can underestimate how tough this negotiation is going to be for all sites including the president. i've been reading into this. the world bank president outlined his 10 points in negotiations that the white house must give better because this stuff is not easy to negotiate. you have to figure out what she wanted how you get it and you're not going to cave.

>> no doubt it will be very difficult. i think it's going to be a lot more difficult for kim jong un then donald trump because we could go on for a long time. the pressure is on kim because of all these sanctions and the pressure they are having. we don't have that pressure. we have all the time in the world and we can continue to deter and literally forever. lauren: we can save cause or stop making nuclear weapons, but that doesn't necessarily ensure they shut down factories, et cetera. >> no it doesn't. here's the bottom line. some people talk about using a military strike on a bloody nose or large military strike. that is the worst possible way to solve this problem. it would be great if we could say we want to work through deep nuclear station and we want that to happen, but if remake that our objective in negotiations to work, that almost says we have to go to war. we don't have to go to war to keep america safe and prevent

anyone from going on the peninsula because we have our deterrence that is conventional and nuclear and we had the upper hand on this. cheryl: what would you advise president trump right now? >> to absolutely disgusting views the security council resolution requiring denuclearization. we understand that it's not very likely they are just going to get bad because then they become vulnerable and that means we will continue to keep the sanctions on and we will continue to keep the country safe. cheryl: final question come away as south korea, japan and china supported knowledgebase. do you think the trade were burying with concessions have been made work in our favor for their support? >> you know, that's an open question and i'm sure the president has understand how those things balance out. president trump is trying to

administration. but citizenship is asked about for the most part if you go back throughout the history of the senses. >> you're absolutely right. this is an attack on democracy absolutely ludicrous. the citizenship question was asked in every sense is from 18221950 and also asked like the yearly acs. when they claim that it's illegal or unconstitutional, they are basically full of malarkey. what they are concerned about here is raw political power. they believe that will give republicans the advantage of redistricting. the senses is used to determine how many people are in the u.s., but it's really used to determine how many congressional seats each state gets in the distribution of billions of dollars of funds and local communities. cheryl: used to determine each state is not the allocation of seats in the u.s. house of representatives in particular that distributes billions of federal dollars. the ag of massachusetts said

this will affect federal funding. it's about the money, forward. >> it is about the money, but it's also about redistricting. this is a clear sign democrats don't want to know how many illegal immigrants are in the united states. frankly it is confidential. they cannot be deported to essentially they are going to try to block this question because it is partially about money, but more about long-term electoral strategy. cheryl: they think that this is going to reduce the population count and their concern is the predominately democratic area with a lot of new immigrants resigned that they will have a problem in the specific area. >> there is no evidence shown that having this question on the survey is going to reduce the number of people who respond to it. i think to the point that they are trying to make is really they are playing a game because

essentially they want the federal money and they don't want the american public to know how many illegal immigrants in this country. either way,, if the american public found out, it would be a real shock to the system in something democrats would have to defend. >> it's a fair question to ask why this change was made so last minute. usually when you have a change to a census question is debated at top without for months and months. this was done right before the deadline of april 1st to schumer's point this is a political move by the trump administration. >> i don't know that it was absolutely a political point, but definitely the trump administration tried to do this behind closed doors without anybody knowing because they didn't want democrats to throughout the state. they didn't have a purpose think about a border wall or merit wall or merit-based immigration, you have to wonder if they will throw a stink about this. cheryl: again, all of these cities and states up in arms will not get their federal funding which they were misspent

taca rack. they sold off in a big way yesterday. nasdaq hit four straight days of 2% boost in both directions. tumbled about 3% yesterday, which wiped out all of monday's big gains. jonathan hoenig at capitalistpig.com joins us now. good to see you. >> is that? this is getting pretty concerning, lauren. the nasdaq has been down nine of the last 11 days, having their worst session yesterday in the history of the tech heavy index down almost 6% in more than two times as many new lows for the nasdaq. there's lots of reasons. cheryl: -- should be the safe play, tech stocks. is this here a regulation or something else? >> you are right on the money. this has led the market for the better part. the technology heavy nasdaq, consumer names, facebook,

twitter coming unicorns if you will. i believe the reason is exactly as you alluded to come the regulatory risk. facebook is awesome to make an 18% since cambridge [inaudible uber. at this point, they are all really falling knives. from the bigger picture, it's not going to be technology within this market higher as it has in recent years. we'll be picking up the charge because at this point, investors are selling first and asking questions later. lauren: looking at the tech titans this year. facebook is in bear market territory. this is ugly. we heard you when kennedy last night. you had some words to say when mark zuckerberg testifies before congress next month. want to repeat? >> well, he has agreed to testify, but i think i can still be a very dangerous and

expensive proposition for facebook investors, lauren. but more zuckerberg has acquiesced legislators, the worse the stock has become. he's agreed to testify, but that opens him up to completely arbitrary regulation and that's a big risk right now for facebook. not humming as they are going to sell. what is the regulatory scheme going to be? that's why investors are so nervous. lauren: i know we were talking about he would run for office, but he can be awkward in that i now work well for him on capitol hill. >> unfortunately, the legislators are looking forward to a lot more than zuckerberg. this is that they did with toyota, auto manufacturers, big pharmaceuticals. these politicians love the entrepreneurs and successful
