low for the 90s to the 2000. in fact, 25 years since 1994. the last time we saw them move up in industry. they were given a best in the last saw higher interest rates. in fact, already a lot of those industries sensitive securities are down 10% this year. this is already having an effect. >> you are downplaying the fear we would normally think would receive the tenure to 3%. circumstances are different now. >> i take the other side of that. he should be concerned. i don't think a lot of today's investors know how to operate in this type of environment. they have to go back to the early 1980s before you see a really major bear market.

threat actually will backfire. they saw this as timing to save president trump and emmanuel macron are having an opportunity to speak. this is at the top of the agenda for the french president talk about the future of the iran deal coming up against the may 12th deadline. the iranian leadership thought this was a good opportunity to inject themselves into the process but frankly i think it will backfire because as we've seen in the past, anytime you really try to take thread on president trump, he will double down really fight back. i will say this about the quote, unquote borough man's. the diplomatic relationship between france and the united states is the oldest that we have. a very special relationship and president trump does have some respect for president emmanuel macron as a leader. they have incredibly divergent viewpoints on everything, but i think they are going to have a

strong and legitimate dialogue. one of their daily newspapers, you know, they say in the crowd was here trying to get results. cheryl: i do want to get crazy in here. you've got president trump is about america first and then french president macron who is a globalist. he pulled out of the paris climate accord, whether it comes to climate change and the other issues come as so many differences between the men. you have to wonder at the end of the day that the photo opportunity and nothing else. spin that president trump will do whatever he has to for america. president trump should not be punished for standing up for america. that's what this is about is keeping america's strength and come to our borders and nations strong. i don't think he so much as influence as stated previously making comments.

none is also part of why the market doesn't know which way to go. this administration is very pro-business, that the administration can only do so much. it really comes down at this point to what the financial wizards at the federal reserve are doing for us. gerri: let's talk about stocks reporting today. a dow component 3m is in. caterpillar, koch, verizon and i'm the only expect a shame coming from travelers. we should see some real momentum in the marketplace here. any of these stocks get rewarded in your view? >> i believe we will see caterpillar most like we going up as well because they are pretty big in the emerging market and they essentially help emerging markets become bigger economies and there's a lot of buy-in in that particular

this is interesting. what do you think is at stake here for the company in regards to this new push for more regulation? >> yeah, certainly. it depends on which company you are looking at certainly. but we are looking at this from the standpoint of apple, i don't if it's necessarily huge deal because it's such a diversified company. when you look at the big player impacted by this is spotify because it all about competition. are we going to see people -- there is potential for them to remove as an option for when you actually transition from the ad. for the platform if they still exist. it's all about competition. it's all about the details as well and whether the client for
