5:31 a.m. in new york on tuesday, may 8th. i'm gerri willis and for lauren simonetti. tragic good morning, everybody. i'm cheryl casone. oil, we will have to watch that went today. >> hours away from a policy decision at president trump expected to announce his decision on whether the u.s. will withdraw from the iran nuclear deal. he's let the bill stay in place during his presidency while constantly calling up one of the worst deals ever made. overnight, iran's president weighed in expecting the u.s. with draw saying it is possible we will face problems for two or three months but we will let that pass through this, meaning they can get beyond it. european allies try to persuade trying to maintain the deal. let's bring in research fellow been home. thank you for coming in today. let's start with those comments from president rouhani about how

boris johnson's concerns about plan b? what is plan b? >> you seen a full-court press trying to get the president to stay in the deal. there has been no public plan before the jet. if they withdraw from the deal, the plan be sanctions and escalations of economic pressure to produce a genuine deal in the nuclear program. i recommend a genuine fix to the deal, finding ways to make sure we keep the transatlantic partnership intact and deal with other areas of iranian behavior. >> he wrote the report quoted widely that they launched 23 ballistic missiles. how acute is the threat really and if we don't have an agreement in place, how could we monitor them? >> thanks for mentioning the report. there is no official u.n. or u.s. venture on how many post-nuclear deal ballistic missile tests and launches there have been. this is a big threat because

run-up that we had. there is a lot of concern on the iran deal and we would hear from the president today regarding what his decision is on the deal moving forward. cheryl: are you expecting him to pull the u.s. side of the deal? >> we expect him to make changes. i don't believe he will just pull out of the deal. the president has been known for deal making and this could be a tactic where he threatens to pull out of the deal. but it's really just setting up the stage to a negotiation and imposing the sanctions while making sure that the markets are going to be roiled by these news. cheryl: that's an interesting take. what he think of armando's opinion of this? this does have an ill side effects including companies like boeing working on partnerships with iranians, financial partnership since 2015. >> i agree.

the geopolitical concerns with iran come back to china. you know, china has a lot of importing from iran and that is all related in the job happening up there with the iran deal. i don't think that trump is going to do anything to roiled those iran markets as much. but it does relate back to china. >> it's interesting to come armando. all of this goes back to the u.s. treasury and if we do pull back, if we pull out of it opens up a negotiation, that will be on the heels of the treasury. jerry mentioned this earlier. 180 days to wind down their deal before sanctions take effect. you seem to believe that is going to be time for negotiations. do you think the administration, president trump would be willing and open to ceos saying we need more time if we can make sanctions different than they have been in the past so it

doesn't hurt american companies in these deals. >> president trump is a businessman and he will certainly listen to the community and ceos of the energy companies here in the united states. so he will act in the best interest of the people here in the united states economy and most importantly world peace, which he has been very active on engaging in. cheryl: let's move onto apple real quick. i want to talk about apple in the stock looking at potentially a trillion dollars violation of the company which has never happened in the history of the stock market. it's fascinating. what do you make of the love affair for more info said of apple and do you still has room to grow past a trillion dollars? >> apple is doing all the right things. they are expanded services, revenue dramatically. that was a nice speed on earnings from the services

endpoint. that is a more predictable driver of earnings in future earnings and though that is going to lead to an expansion in the p.e. multiple for apple. yes, the forward outlook for apple has improved based on the services revenue in greece. having a spokesman out there like warren buffett can only help. cheryl: no kidding. we definitely saw that. $100 billion stock buyback. the ecosystem, ipad, iphone sales seems to be a winning recipe, no? >> the perfect storm for apple. when you look at apple as a company committed trade on the mental basis. if we see them trade war on a forward earnings basis rather than a past earnings basis, they can easily blow past trillion dollars. it's really the will apple ecosystem that helps apple make their earnings and go where they
