is over yet. this is the beginning. we don't know what is is taking place, nor should we. at the end of it when these negotiations are finished we'll see if the president was able to achieve his objective or not and what he had to do to get us there. >> i have every faith in that prospect. it's what i mow that disturbs me, not what i don't know. that would only add to the counter weight, if you will. as we look at iran, we have to look at this in terms of real politics. there has to be a reason iran and north korea were the targets of this breach by zte just as there has to be a reason that china, the united states and north korea are aligning on the issue of denuclearization of the korean peninsula. there are some who think that
4:19 am
is -- has created a propitious moment. and the testing by the north koreans has resulted in abject disaster for korea and china. >> north korea and iran are kissing cousins, for sure. the iranians have been present during the testing and that's one of the reasons we want to denuclearize north korea. we know they will proliferate those weapons to radical islamists. that's a major issue for us. as to china's role in north korea. i just came back from the far east japan. their foreign ministry does believe a potential breakthrough is coming on north korea and

denuclearizing the peninsula. they attribute that to one word only. trump. they believe the on reason we are having this is because of the president's hard line with the north koreans and the chinese. and the real threat of military action. and i also think pulling out of the iranian nuclear deal, not permitting them to have a nuclear weapon that that deal would do is so consistent with what the president is doing in north korea. they will give us their nuclear weapons or we'll take them from them one way or the other. that's what we are coming down to. lou: with north korea, we know their testing site has been decimated. we don't know the degree of the damage. it may be ongoing. there is room for inference that north korean testing site has
4:21 am
imploded. that it is going to require extraordinary sums of capital and technology which frankly only the united states and perhaps russia possess to be employed to deal with that disaster. your thoughts on what role it might have played in aligning the interest of china, north korea and the united states. >> if we are going to have there is break through as the evidence seems to be suggesting. china had a pivotal role. the 19-party congress that just ended a few months ago when president xi was put in power indefinitely. when you read what their ambitions are to dominate the pacific and replace the united states as a global power. i think that's they stepped up. they recognize that the president was serious and they know they have to do something

idaho, nebraska, oregon and pennsylvania heading to the polls. joining us now, the dean himself, ed rollins, great to see you. let's start with corey lewandowski joining the pence office, if you will. ed: what i can't understand why the vice president has a better political operation than the president. there was one operation and i don't think the vice president should have a political pac. corey lewandowski is a well-known trump guy. this should be the president's program. this needs to be like a parliamentary election.
4:29 am
the people who support trump are the ones he should be supporting. lou: president's people need to be conscious of it because sometimes it becomes a process that leads to a result. and it's not helpful to even have an appearance of a divide. how long did it tak take the vie president to say the mueller witch hunt needs to end. ed: he's part of the president's team, and the president and his team need to be running the elections in 2018 and 2020. lou: but we don't see that level of coordination we would expect. speaker ryan has been absent throughout this contest between
4:30 am
the special counsel and the president. why in the world will he and mitch mcconnell, there is no good reason other than horrible spite and terrible political judgment for them not to be supporting the president and ending the special counsel. ed: it's been a year now. get it wrapped up because it's been a terrible distraction. 018 will be a critical year for the president's party and you can't be running around worrying about leaked stories and no charges, just rumors and innuendos. lou: why is the conference putting up with paul ryan resigning the speakership and letting him stay in office as the leader of the house republican conference and at the same time going into mid-term elections where they will face
4:31 am
an outright slaughter? ed: the odds are great against them. they need to be like a parliamentary. you talk about the president, the president's programs, what each individual can do to help the district. and i think to a certain extent, the withdrawal -- discharge petition. lou: they want daca amnesty. paul ryan wants to pose as if it's being pushed on him to invite these daca amnesty bills without a quid pro quo of any kind. ed: if you have a majority which we have, you need to drive your agenda. unfortunately his agenda is not the president's agenda. this discharge petition allows the democrats to bring their bills to the floor. lou: and the republicans sell
4:32 am
out and go with the democrats. it's very clever, shallow and transparent. sorry, speaker ryan. but you are being transparent. it's absurd. and there is a dynamic that seemingly neither the white house or house of representatives or the senate want to takes note of. a populist president driving an america first doctrine in every day. make america great again against a speaker and majority leader and conferences that are owned lock, stock and barrel by the business round table and wall street. >> it's like he's running a coalition government. if nancy pelosi is speaker it won't be a coalition government. it will be hard driven democrats with their agenda.
4:33 am
lou: there are a lot of soft bellies. ed: they need to get fearful of this election. they are confident and they should not. lou: this contest between trump populism and the elite globalist establishment is represented by the leaders of the republican senate and house. the republican voters and independent voters need to tell them all to go to hell. >> that's what's going to happen. we'll wake up the day after the election and say gee, what happened? lou: coming up next, an historic day in the holyland thanks to president trump. >> i believe father i speak for every one one of us when i say we thank you every day that you have given us a president who boldly stand on the right side

and impressive prayer. suddenly mitt romney who you supported in 2012 comes after you like nobody's business. what's going on? >> he was upset with me because in the primaries i supported rick perry and not him. i'm not a bigot. many of those comments are manufactured or ripped out of context. the belief that jesus christ offers the way to heaven. the fact that people don't agree with that is fine, but it's wrong to call tens of millions of evangelical christians like me bigoted because we follow the words and way of jesus. it was sad that he would do this on such an historic day when we have so many positive things to celebrate. lou: let's turn to those.
