powers to investigate. i don't think this will be over in what the president or congress will want from the doj on this point. cheryl: you don't. the question is the mid-terms. obviously we don't want to see the investigation hanging over the midterms of political purpose. what about the issue of barack obama. if indeed we find out at some point it was the obama administration that directed this informant to infiltrate the term campaign, could president of barack obama be called into this potentially to testify? >> this is a page out of the federal playbook when it comes to criminal investigations. let's be clear it's not using an informant are cooperating with us to further a criminal investigation. we know from the papadopoulos information in that plea that an investigation started in july. if this is the case, it's not a
