flames and signaled to him to stop. it was amazing. let's talk about the markets. earnings on fire so far this year. ac to "the wall street journal" covers many analysts say earnings may have peaked in the first quarter when he jumped 25% from a year ago. joe sister rocha agnello pointe capital and hogan, chief market strategist. i'll start with you. when you look at the year, we areking at 19% for the second quarter, 17 for the fourth and i guess all this comes because the 99th in 2006 with an horrific impact. will we have a major selloff because of earnings? >> i certainly don't think it will be the selloff. 25% first-quarter earnings.

we were expecting 16% coming in. think of the line up of expert patients which were always low. who will have a falloff in earnings in 2019 is the anniversary lower tax cuts. i still think will have low double-digit earnings growth. significant revenue growth in the first quarter. i think that's not going to be the driver. >> analysts like to look at the topline number. 97 days without hitting an all-time high. do you expect the markets to react to declining this pressure on earnings? >> it's not pressure on earnings. a lot of that is driven by the fact we're not going to have a new tax cut for 2019. the earnings growth this year is a direct impact on the tax cut.
