that does the highfliers of the day. we possibly could be a shift from growth names to value names. the fear is that they are holding the market. then what is stopping the market for moving into a larger correction whether he thinks, energy we have to see some strengths in stocks if it's not for him saying. cheryl: may be a market there for industrial concern. bank of america and goldman sachs have both issued notes and bank of america saying we should be shorting for the second half of 2018 the bank stocks. what if that's an unfair assessment raised on the fact that it is facebook and twitter so far that has been the big negative stories. value loss ever for a stock with facebook last week. >> what's amazing is that a lot of these stocks, facebook has corrected the biggest correction

in terms of value and is basically flat for the year. beats paying stocks are up on average about 50% in 2017. then the correct 15%, 20% and still be hired the last few years. your point is very appropriate. what is going to take the charge. investors are searching a list in the interim a lot of them sitting on their hands. cheryl: the other side of this and people asking the question today, is this bargain hunting times especially with facebook or twitter. >> i think it depends on your time horizon. something like, for example, the end of 1999. it took in many cases upwards of a decade for a lot of hikes that tech stocks back then to recover. not saying we are in that situation yet but this is the second longest bull market in history. you can make the argument we are due for a pullback in that could

bill were there so many very important programs for the country. more importantly it would be bad for the country to have another government shutdown. it costs money, disrupts lives and would create insecurity on the homeland side. the president hopefully is using this as a negotiating type date. he may have come to his senses over the weekend, but if he forces the government shutdown, that never works well for republicans. >> we just heard this is not good for the country to end up forcing a shutdown. some republicans have been outspoken about this. was senator bob worker had to say about pitcher responds. >> nonnative shutdown of government is something that could certainly affect the electoral process in november. doesn't seem particularly smart. lea: said as the presidents prerogative to fulfill his campaign promise of additional border security.

>> the president in a challenging spot. the american dialect or it is somewhat divided about this even though obviously he was pledging to improve border security and the pillars of his pledges, border security, dhaka and chain migration and the modified chain migration are all broadly supported with pluralities and majorities when. we don't have a governing majority in the senate. 60 votes for that and among republicans in the house, i know because i was there. about two dozen swing district republicans who can vote for any measures that don't include a path for security to recipients including a path to citizenship quite possibly others about dirty members of the freedom

caucus who won't vote for anything that seems like amnesty. getting real progress on these matters is going to be challenging. i like the fact that the president is indicating that he in fact is open to deferring a battle until after the midterms because it looks bad for republicans if they are playing the shutting down the government. >> jason, you know, one of the questions i have for you if some people think that having a fight over a government shut down might energize republican to get to the polls. is that a strategy thing could work? >> the problem is they would also disrupt the judge kavanaugh and energize republican and if they feel feel discouraged on my friend, that might, that might naturalize the effect. there's a lot of districts that are competitive this year that the democrats have an upper hand against republican incumbent and

most of those districts are districts where the immigration issues will not be the deciding her. throughout the uncertainty of a government shutdown in addition to the disruption it would cause for the american people in their government, just doesn't make any sense. lea: quickly to you about judge kavanaugh. some say that a delay or shut down. delay the confirmation into a cover, n-november. but would you say the long-term impact? >> absolutely. republicans have a great opportunity to bring judge kavanaugh to the supreme court that would be a win for the republicans. the republicans to support president trump in part because they want to see the supreme court really have a constitutional basis will appreciate that. they should move ahead without. some republicans could use that as a maneuvering point to pressure no government shutdown. let's get the kavanaugh nomination taking care of and

that's their estimate for the quarter which is still one of the bigger numbers we are going to watch. would you say to that number? >> the iphone sales coming around that number. apple did gain against grandson in the quarter in the u.s. and the high end of china. that is the area comes from samsung. >> what will the forecast be for fiscal year 29 teen mature coming up quicker. >> the iphone asked didn't come out until november of last year. that should bode well for estimates. >> that would be a positive story for investors to watch. what about prices for the iphone? they were criticized about overpricing the iphone.
