10:01 pm
from the dems, radical rinos, business round table, chamber of commerce and the president's good friends, the koch brothers. i am being facetious of course. wilbur ross is with us tonight. and media stoking outrage of radical dimms, and thugs, and so-called resistance, suddenly whining, whining loudly about how they are being treated at trump rallies. we will talk about the fake news hypocrisy with our panel, candace owens and vince. our top story, fox news is learned that special counsel mueller will not agree to an interview with the president, restrictive to questions about the russian collusion. which by the way is the reason
10:02 pm
he exists as a special counsel, period. in a letter to president's attorneys, mule ar mueller saids to talk about be on rubbing obsr topics, day two in trial of former trump campaign manager paul manafort. the presiding judge, ts ellis, the third repeatedly rebuked the mueller team prosecutor attorneys after ellis admonished them tuesday for using the term ocean daroligarch, describes mas ukrainian -- and warned them not to roll their eyes at him. class acts in a courtroom, judge stated he hopes to finish the
10:03 pm
trial sooner than anticipated three weeks. joining us, ed rollins, great america pak chairman, hall of fame, political consultant, strategist, fox business political analyst. >> thank you. lou: let's start with this, a federal district court judge, has to talk to a team of attorneys from the special counsel like they are 6th graders, for crying out loud. >> sometimes you can bring way too much evidence, they have spent too much time gathering it, if they have the goods on manafort, whom i know well, i know paul a reputable guy, and detailed oriented. if you have the evidence bring it forward, make your case and move on not bring pictures of suits and everything they are doing. lou: straight up, they are just being ignorant. to have a special counsel, team of attorneys whoen to down --
10:04 pm
who don't know how to behave in a courtroom, acting like fools they have initially in this case, is extraordinary. >> it is, and they have a tough job, he has been on the judge for a long time. lou: thank goodness. >> i don't know any more about evidence than what i have read in the paper. lou: there isn't any so for. >> well, i don't know what is there. lou: we know that architect of bernie sanders campaign who worked with manafort in the ukraine is no longer going to rollover for the government. bees government's first witness. we had been planned to be. he is gone. >> i don't know any more than what i are read and heard, i'm not going to argue the merits of it one way or the other. lou: i don't' you to argue, i want you to agree, who the hell's to argue? >> paul worked for me in 1984.
10:05 pm
lou: did you get some of that 60 million. >> i did not. i'm amazed he made 60 million, paul is other candidate to run reagan 's campaign in 1964, he got baker's campaign. been around the game a long time, he made a lot more money than vast majority of people, that tells me he starter than the rest of us. lou: you know, you can't judge a person's intellect by the amount of money they make. >> thank god, i have not made much money. my wife keeps saying paul made 60 million dollars, you are in the same business, what happened to you? lou: well, you.
10:06 pm
another reason we need an understanding wife. >> yes. lou: let's turn to this mueller probe. president tweeting out to his attorney general. that he should end this travesty. the mueller witch-hunt. then you hear the clucking nasty voices from the left in media. having a fit because the president has ordered -- they said. he said should, it is a hypothetical get real. >> we're not the president but we've been saying if there are months. >> what? you mean we're not -- i am a host of a tv show? >> bottom line is we have argued that what we have seen publicly and what we know privacily, is there is no there, there. i think at the end of the day,
10:07 pm
if he has anything, he needs to put it forward, he can't go on forever. lou: we keep hearing this nonsense, to me. not your nonsense, but nonsense from the you know these talking heads. they say, we just have to play it out to the finish, and lets it resolve, and let bob mueller do whatever the heck he chooses, we're into year three of the investigation into president trump on russia and collusion. and someone needs to have the judgment to say, to mueller, it's done. we're not going to wait for midterms, you have enough time to -- i mean he had enough time to build a original aircraft. what is going on. >> i have bad memories when he was special prosecutor, at end of the day, bad changes. lou: do you remember when in a
10:08 pm
released that report. >> the next administration. lou: friday before election day. >> absolutely. key thing president should not testify, he is right sending the tweet out, telling sessions do your job for once, gets into this, and if there is no there, there, then shut it down. lou: it is a mess. i can't understand why people don't look at history, and say we're not going to repeat the disasters that have been special counsel. >> congress eliminated special counsel because walsh and them went on too long. >> and didn't do anything and were dishonest in what they did do. >> now this guy is acting on power of attorney general. lou: mueller seizing on that. >> attorney general should shut it down. lou: absolutely, any chance of
10:09 pm
sessions getting consciousness and conscience long enough to shut it down. >> no, i don't, but i wishly would. he would. lou: so what does the president do. >> i think at the end of the day he'll fire sessions. >> i think only way you can improve is, make it the first part of the day. we'll see. >> great. lou: appreciate it about thank you. lou: owe ed rollins. >> national left wing media out doing dimamericamms to responset session should end mueller witch-hunt. >> president doesn't see this as interference? he sees it at he can do whatever he wants. >> trump does appear to be testing boundaries. >> maybe the beginning of a new sat day night massacre. >> i think that president should be concerned he is in deep trouble. it looks like he is about. >> i don't think necessarily the
10:10 pm
court of law it will be within politics of impeachment. >> they are all ignoring what the president is saying. they are doing their jobs. >> you don't want to know the answer, if we did an average on irirk q-- iq and integrity not e would need double digits. >> wilbur ross is joining us >> wilbur ross is joining us

lou: our top story, president trump proposes an increase in tariffs on chinese imports to this country from 10 to 25%, u.s. trade representative, robert lighthizer releases' statement, in part. trump administration continues to urge china to stop unfair practices to open its market to engage in a true market competition. regrettably, instead of changing, china has illegally retaliated against u.s. workers, farmers, ranchers and businesses. chinese officials responding to the proposal increase calling "it," blackmail, saying they would respond with retaliatory
10:15 pm
measures, joining us to give us some inside views from the administration's perspective, u.s. commerce secretary wilbur ross, mr. secretary great t to have you with us. >> good to be on. lou: increasing tariffs. chinese have been recalcitrant and not forth coming. what choice does the administration have here but to raise tariffs and to make them, if you will, feel it? >> we really have to do it, lou. the president opened the one left tariff trade barriers, leveled playing feel, so subsidies, whole 9 yards, but, to get there, we have to make it more painful for them to continue these bad practices
10:16 pm
than to modify them. that is what this is about. lou: at what point do you think that the chinese will come to their senses and understand? they have been spoiled, as president has noted, by previous administrations, who rolled over for anything that chinese wanted. there has been no prosecution of the chinese espionage companies stealing everything from technology to trade secrets, some 600 billion in intellectual property every year. every year. in addition to trade surpluses they have been running against this country from the moment they entered the wto, almost two decades ago. >> you have to go back to that very date, when they came in idea of bringing them in, under the theory these would play by the rules was a terribly flawed
10:17 pm
theory. the foolishness was not to have a real enforcement mechanism in case of theory proved up true, as it has proven to be. that was the double but tha flat was done then. because it has gone on for so long, it will take a lot of effort to make them reconsider what they are doing. they know very well what they are doing. there is no intellectual problem. just we need to give them enough motivation to fly right. lou: and fly right is something that is not either comprehended or comp hended and not respected or acknowledged by the national left wing media, who seem to be incapable of doing basic mathematics, for that matter so are koch brothers challenge, charles koch, attacking the
10:18 pm
tariffs saying they are ridiculous, and they harm -- not concerned about harming american workers and american businesses, but he is worried about foreign workers and the foreigners. they are attacking the 400 littl400million dollar, republin candidates they want open borders, free illegal immigration, and they don't mind if the chinese take $600 billion in american intellectual property. this is the darndest thing i can imagine having to deal with from your perspective. >> well, the left wing press doesn't get it, they don't want to get it. i tell who you does get it, the average american citizen. the average american worker. and even the american farmers who have been singled out for some retaliations. our farmers, our workers are
10:19 pm
real patriots. i was traveling with the president last week in iowa and illinois. the enthusiasm of the crowd was even greater than it was during the campaign. during the entire time that we were at reopening of u.s. steel plant in illinois, every single person in the audience stood the whole time, it was amazing to see the reaction, and the emotional reaction. the worker who just got a bigger paycheck because of lower with holdings, the worker who got a job back, the worker who just got a bonus. he knows, she knows. lou: mr. secretary, i think you are right, i also think that the elitist global orthodoxy on capitol hill, i am talking about bought and paid for speaker of
10:20 pm
the house, and the majority leader of the senate, they are not used to having t to deal wih a president who actually means as he said in the campaign. to lift all american workers. the result has beenic rah rah od extraordinary, record low unin unemployment rate for minorities, a prosperity that is remarkable in and of itself. if it was at end of his first term even his second. to have it happen in just a year and a half this president is proving who he is and what his leadership does mean to americans of throughout the society. >> he is, he does. and if all politicians would keep their promises, the world would be a safer place, the president takes those promises
10:21 pm
as a real commitment, there not a sink el one he -- single one he has blinked on despite the back wash from the left wing. i think what is really driving the left rin wing nuts is that s working, remember they were all saying oh, trumps policies will bring gloom and doom, he will provoke -- >> you don't hear from paul krugman very often. >> or larry summers or any of them. >> by the way, and for that alen we're deeply in your debt, and in debt to the president, we appreciate it. mr. secretary keep up the great work. we appreciate it mightily. >> thank you, lou, we're going to win this. lou: a men, thank you so much. >> wilbur ross, commerce secretary. >> vote in our poll, do you believe that koch brothers globe -- globalist.

10:27 pm
and continued to this day. now, over a year of investigation, by the senate intelligence committee. and that is what they are revealing to us all. it has been worth while in terms of resources and money extended, don't you think? joining us john hand. senior counselor are defense of democracies. >> are you stunned by the conclusion of messiers burr and warner. >> i don't think so, this something that soviets before the russians and russian now have been about for decades trying to muck american elections, that hardly worth the time and resources to come with that conclusion. >> does it astound you that burr
10:28 pm
and warner, they chairman -- actually acted like they didn't know that russia had been trying to intervene in elections for decades before 2016? >> indeed, schrok shock, shock t there are russian efforts to meddle in american democratic process. lou: we have a senate intelligence committee with no findings, no evidence of collusion, says they know that russians meddle in the election, but don't pehl out -- spell out how, what the result was, and no straight line drawn in any of it. i have no doubt that russians meddled, but i would like to know one thing that no one talks about. that no one i mean no one on capitol hill talks about, and that is so the russians intervenes in 2 2016 election.
10:29 pm
where were our 16 intelligence agencies and james harper? the cia? the fbi? they done stop anything. they done detect it -- they didn't stop anything, they didn't defec detect it until aft occurred, yet no one criticized a single intelligence agency of this country, instead they created a perverse world in washington d.c., where expecting congressional and senate committee to do the work of the agencies and find the every of e of collusion, if these agents were worth a tinker's darn. >> certainly the case that i think that was ample evidence to
10:30 pm
suggest to the agency and u.s. government, unders obama administration that there was russian meddling, going on. the question that we all need to grapple with and answer, that people are trying to avoid is, what was done about it? what wasn't don abou done aboutt can we do better next time to not repeat the same mistakes? lou: right now, we know that a result of facebook revelations this week, we know from facebook but three months later, four, that the russians maybe, i do do not know for sure who did it, we're not hearing anyone from the intelligence agents, created 32 false pages this looks like united states is one goofy en intelligence operation.
10:31 pm
it is encouraging to me, all sorts of bad actors to act against us against and continue to intervene and meddle and to rob this country blind. >> yeah, that is the great danger, lou is that we're being distracted from having the president work together with the congress on a bipartisan basis, to actual protect the country. against the threats we face, internally as well asic economy- externaly, the challenges remain enormous we're not coming together and dealing with those. lou: you could talk about bipartisan coming together, but have you democrats harassing that president, assaults this president with special counsel. president has been under investigation for over two years. still produced nothing,
10:32 pm
meanwhile, think of all that is taking away from the president's time, that of his advisers and his attorneys. the oversight committees are wrapped up in this nonsense call crusade, jihad or whatever you want to call it instead, instead of focusing on the enemy, and by the enemy, i mean russia. i mean north korea, and i mean china. and i mean every actor, state and otherwise who would seek to damage the united states whether it is intervening in our elections or steelin stealing oy or intellectual property, you name it. >> that is the case. i would add iran to that mix there is no doubt this degree of polarization comes at a huge opportunity cost in terms of doing what is necessary as a nation to protect the american people, that is a great tragedy.
10:33 pm
lou: it is a tragedy of our own making, and the dimms are doing vladimir putin's bidding, they are those sewing discord and disnordisinformation and lying h their teeth at every turn with the deep stop, this president, and every american should say out loud and trade forward to every congressman and senator, it time to end the damn nonsense, and start protecting this country. our intelligence agency spending more time huddling with deep state about how they can over throw the president of the united states do you agree? about time to wrap it up? >> i would like to see it get done, soon as possible, lou, i am a foreign policy national security guy. i know that these kinds of destruction -- distractions hurt the country ability to deal with clear and imminent threats that we're facing now as a nation
10:34 pm

10:43 pm
about how cnn has portrayed trump supporters racist, sexists message gistmisogynist, you namy liken him to hitler, they are shocked to see this reaction, they are shocked to see american people no longer stan on their side, if they ever did. you know cnn had an air of elitism, sticking their noses down to american people, they don't want to learn about american people, how they are feeling how the rest of america you know that land between new york and l.a. is feeling this is the direct result of that. lou: and as we wrap up here, president obama, coming up on with his well the of 88 endorsements he is handing out. and i just think how thrilled that frankly mcdaniel must be
