to paul manafort. personal choices in life. lou: this is politically driven. it is driven by the special counsel who had a mission that was very straightforward good collusion with russia. and this is the result. >> there was not even an allegation of collusion throughout the trial and the jury didn't make any decision based on that. the decisions were tax fraud and unfortunately paul manafort was found to be guilty to fraud in the government. lou: and christopher, extraordinarily the special counsel handing this case off. the remarkable thing it seems to me is that this is a special counsel going after the president's attorney and succeeding in getting what he wanted that is the foundation to further squeeze michael cohen and squeeze further paul
10:07 pm
manafort and judge ellis said precisely that, that the entire proceeding was about going after the president of the united states through paul manafort. >> i agree. but clear as day. manafort has now been found guilty and has admitted to breaking the law. but neither one of these people would be in trouble for either one of these things if it were not for the fact that they worked for president trump at some point during the campaign under the administration and that seems to reek of politics. part of that could be that they raise their head to hide and living where they were now in the public spotlight. manafort's own daughter is worried about that. i hope they don't find out about dad. i think he's getting too big. i think is manafort who was then dad, who is in trouble and living a luxurious lifestyle and not able to pay for it was going to try and use his position on the campaign to leverage that.

and for some of his debts off. and then you have cohen thing he did this and that was campaign finance reform violations. if he doesn't have something he can deliver, the proof the president with lt events, which i doubt he does, then he'll probably not get a deal from the prosecutors like it's going for. true into an guilty as this. to narrow that down just a bit, rebecca, there is no campaign violation as far as the president's role, rudy giuliani. there is never been a successful prosecution of campaign finance violations for precisely john edwards, the most recent example. >> i also want to note that if there were violations that would be attributed to the president, that would've been the first indictment. they would've held back the
10:09 pm
michael cohen situation. that would've been a secondary issue. so i don't think we have anything beyond michael cohen in that respect either. i don't know where the special prosecutor is going from here, but it doesn't seem yet that we have any solid, substantial evidence with any sort of collusion. lou: your thoughts here christopher because this is a special counsel that is going to continue to work very hard, clearly is to attack the president and in so doing is creating an extraordinarily toxic atmosphere in washington and doing absolutely nothing to make this president's job any easier surrounded as he is by one enemy after another attacking him from every angle
10:10 pm
it seems. >> is incredibly time-consuming. it takes the president's focus off of international issues, national issues up the u.s. economy. other things to talk about tonight in west virginia. michael cohen would not have been in this area of this area if it were for politics. he would've said what he said today about when the president if it were for politics. even if there's some connection there were the president committed campaign-finance violations, it would so come back to politics because he's a sitting u.s. president. they can't get in legally. they would have to go back to congress and ask congress to impeach him. again i'll be back to politics and be entirely up to how people vote in the in the next election. lou: i want to ask both of you as a rapper appear, at what point does it behoove the president to say this is enough. it is obviously politically motivated. his investigation politically charged just as the american

people are watching the facts unfold before them. and it's about collusion among the dnc, democratic national committee, the hillary clinton campaign, fusion gps and the law firm, the democratic law firm and the fbi and has devoted buyer, resigned. at what point does this investigation supposed to leave wherever the fact that the special counsel. why hasn't he focused on those issues themselves? >> that is a question that i think everyone is asking now. where is this investigation go in and does it have been and because there is clearly not been there with the collusion regarding russia. at some point, the president may want to do that, but he also doesn't want to feel his enemies by saying he's covering anything up. there's nothing to cover out. >> it is clear that there isn't
10:12 pm
because there has been almost a one-year investigation by the fbi. more than a year by the special counsel. nothing has been forthcoming. the senate and house intelligence committees producing absolutely nothing. absolutely nothing. and none of the intelligence agencies and we've got to remember the lad under the spy chiefs, under president obama, if they had one item of evidence in my opinion, christopher, they would've sprung at on this president long, long ago. that says they are bereft of any evidence and all they have is a politically motivated witchhunt in which they are fully participating if not orchestrating. >> after this long of investigating, always see them doing is squeezing cronies in the outskirts and president trump spotlight orbit for short amounts of time and see what information they would get. they're not going to find anything. president trump shouldn't give

any ammunition in force and a constitutional crisis by stepping in. instead they should let the democrats walk around and talk about russia. he talks about the economy, talks about coal, talks about foreign affairs and things that are much more interesting to people outside of washington. lou: and a warm, comforting wave of prosperity that is washing all across america and as the president promised in his campaign delivering prosperity for all americans. christopher bedford, thanks for being with us. thank you, appreciate it. thank you votes. the president -- we are waiting for the president to arrive at his rally. he has done that as you see they are. in charleston, west virginia, we'll be taking his remarks in full as soon as he shows up and he has now shown up. we are going to be taking his remarks in full. it is one of the most enjoyable

hunt. where is the pollution? they are still looking for pollution. where is the pollution? find some collusion. we want to find the pollution. the beating heart of this election is border security. we have to have that. we have to have it. iowa and so many other have been reporting numbers where they are having a lot of problems with people coming in. people are coming in. but we are getting them out. we have ms-13 on the run. they poured in here with obama. we have them on the run because we love the men and women of i.c.e. [cheers and applause] a blue wave in november means
10:52 pm
open borders, which means massive crime. a red wave means safety and strength. that is what it is. the new platform of the democratic party is to abolish i.c.e. and vote for any democrat in november 2 throw open our borders and that loose vicious predators and violent criminals. they will be all over our communities. they will be preying on our communities. well, many democrats are calling to abolish i.c.e. our brave i.c.e. officers successfully carried out a 14-year-old deportation order against a nazi criminal who was living in new york. the last of nazi officer living

in the united states. they've been trying to get him out for decades. president obama tried, they all tried. we got him out. [cheers and applause] he's back in germany. i.c.e. officers are heroes who uphold our laws. they uphold our laws and they defend our communities like nobody you've ever seen. and yes, they are tough. they are strong, smart, they have great heart. but they go into these communities loaded up with the kind of criminals you don't want to be dealing with. they walk in like it is another day in the office. they are tougher. they are stronger. it's what these other people fear. and by the way, are i.c.e. folks and our border patrol folks,
10:54 pm
they have no fear. the job they do is incredible. and by the way, while were at it, law enforcement, these are great, great people and they are doing an incredible job. [cheers and applause] every single day i.c.e. is tracking down gang members, drug dealers, predators and killers and were either throwing them in jail for throwing them the hell out of our country. if you want to save i.c.e., if you want to protect our border and our border patrol, if you want to stop this craziness of sanctuary cities, where criminals are protected, take a look at chicago. how about the mayor of chicago? [booing] it's like a war zone. it's a great city and its like a
10:55 pm
war zone. this is what those policies do. last week 62 people were shot, 12 died. this is like our country. there is no reason for this. the republican party stands proudly with our courageous i.c.e. officers and border patrol agents. [cheers and applause] and by the way, and you know who wants the wall more than any of us? i.c.e. and border patrol because they know that is going to be a big, big factor in stopping the drugs from coming in. the human traffickers, which is worse all over the world than at any time in the history of our world. human traffickers. who would believe? it's because of the internet. this election is about security and this election is also about jobs we have produced.
10:56 pm
thanks to republicans, our economy is booming like it has never bloomed before. we created another number that no one would have believed if i said it during the campaign. 4 million new jobs since the election. [cheers and applause] almost 3.9 million americans have been lifted off food stamps. think of that. they don't need them because they have a job. they don't need food stamps. almost 4 million. think of it. western west virginia, per capita income groups, 40% faster than the national average. 40%, congratulations. congratulations. [cheers and applause] i told you last time i was here you were so happy like you are
10:57 pm
now. we've added over 400,000 new manufacturing jobs nationwide. that number soon going to exceed 600,000 our opponent said there is no such thing as manufacturing jobs anymore, right? and i say i see, we are not going to make things anymore. think of it, will be close to 600,000 very soon. we have companies pouring into our country. these are companies that laughed. they are coming back to michigan. they are coming back to west virginia. they are coming back to pennsylvania and ohio. they are coming to florida. they are coming back. not just opening. they are coming back. they left and now they are coming back because they want to be where the action is

so economic growth as i said, when it hit 4.1%. everybody was like it's amazing except me. because it's going to go much higher than this. when i finish these trade deals, and the tariffs are very important. these companies come in, and i say to the european union, very nice people, we would like to negotiate a new trade agreement with the european union. we lost $151 billion per year. and he said mr. president we are happy with the deal. i said i would be happy if i were you, too. i said a second time, a third time and a fourth time that they were happy with the deal but we weren't happy because they have barriers up and tariffs.
10:59 pm
you want to build a car and send it to europe? how many chevrolets are there in the middle of berlin. not too many. so they have barriers. i said listen, i said this to numerous countries. it's all about the cars. we are going to put a 25% tax on every car that comes from the european union into the united states. and that will take our loss and trade deficit of $151 billion and give us a surplus of $151 million. that's a fairly dramatic swing.
11:00 pm
it will take one signature, donald j. trump. and i got a call, mr. president, when can we meet? we would like to see you. they came and we respectfully working on it. i have great respect for president xi of china. but they have taken advantage of our country for decade. we have rebuilt china. i used to talk about this. i didn't press it initially because i wanted them to help us with north korea and they have. we are doing well with north korea. they have been doing this stuff for 75 years. 3 months. what happened? i can tell you, and i got along
