4:00 am
as usual we really appreciate it. keep it here for lou dobbs. he is next. lou: good evening, everybody appeared our top stories president trump liver steak on his pledge to tear up nafta included trade deal that makes sense for america. but he did it today, not even a year and a half into his president lee. what took so long? the trump administration radically transform the trade relationship between the united states and mexico ending nafta and creating a bilateral deal aimed at cutting the $71 million trade deficit with mexico. >> it's an incredible deal for both parties. most importantly it's an incredible deal for the workers and for the citizens of both
4:01 am
countries. lou: with us tonight, one of the presidents men working constantly to cut u.s. trade deficit and balance u.s. trade relationships with the world. peter navarro with us. president trump's approval rating sewing beside the relentless support from the national left-wing media, the rhinos commended the state and the molar witchhunt of course. republican strategist ed rollins weighs in on my record numbers of americans are now embracing the trump agenda. they are thrilled with the booming trump economy. but not the deep state and the radical dance. i honestly don't care whether they tear up working men and women and their families. the middle-class small business there openly planning to overthrow the president commit to paralyze the term presidency. we will show you what they have in mind. california republican national committee women hardly willing with us on the dems determination to abuse their

power if they win a congressional majority in the midterms and what republicans can do about all of that. our top story tonight from the president trump defying the odds once again delivering on another campaign promise or renegotiating nafta for the benefit of the american worker and small businessmen and women. the president today announcing after a long and arduous process, his administration has reached a tentative trade deal with mexico that creates a more balanced than reciprocal trade environment. >> you remember at the beginning, many people thought that this is something that just couldn't happen because of all of the different factions, all of the different diets and the complexity. we made it much simpler, much better, much better for both countries. >> a preliminary agreement that still needs to be approved by congress advance the interest of both countries and clearly demonstrates president trump in the incoming president of mexico
4:03 am
andres manuel lopez open-door are very likely to take the united states mexico relationship to a higher and far better place than imaginable before president trump assumed office. joining us tonight from the peter navarro, assistant to the president, director of and industrial policy, director of the white house national trade council. first peter, congratulations to you, to the entire administration on getting this far with what many people as the president observed that would be impossible. >> it's an amazing day. i go back to the campaign june 2016 famous pittsburgh speech, job that speech that president trump delivered that day seven big promises and this is a big check mark or renegotiating. we are not even calling it nafta anymore. as the president said he will have a new name. u.s.-mexico free trade
4:04 am
agreement. lou: wait a minute. you're not calling it something which you haven't learned anything. >> is something for negotiation. they'll nail that down eventually. the point is we will restore this country in north america as a manufacturing powerhouse. a lot of bells and whistles in this agreement, but what really drives the engine here is the rules of origin up 75% and it's a really tough labor provision. lou: 75% for the united states and mexico. what happened to forget the steering wheel and mexico gets the rest of the car? >> well, the rules of origin our 62.5% and much less than now when they are imposed. what we are going to do here is make sure we get 75% between the two countries and when we add basically the labor provisions, that will distribute this fairly between the two countries.
4:05 am
here is the thing, lou, what we are doing here is bringing back our auto parts industry, auto industry from the rest of the world, which has been stealing it from both mexico and the united states has some of their own unfair trade practices. this is a rebalance the works are both countries countries. that's the beauty of this deal. the tray should be very happy tonight as well as the rest of the country. other industries will benefit, chemicals for example. lou: what i hear you saying is there's still more work to be done in terms of negotiating the balanced aspect of this trade relationship $71 billion now, something around 17 billion with canada, which is not yet joined the triad if you will. you contemplate god. but what is fair and nice that triggers the balance? what triggers the elimination of that tremendous as the president has pointed out throughout, that tremendous unit trade deficit
4:06 am
with mexico. >> evicting, luke, is these rules of origin where will bring back basically our supply chain. our plans have been turned for manufacturing plant, integrated manufacturing plants and two assembly plants. we will reverse that trend under the leadership of president donald jay trump. that is big. the agricultural provision means we will export some more agricultural products. we will have more protection. it's got the best intellectual-property protection we've seen in the free trade agreement. when people steal our stuff, rip, that basically helps drive the deficit as well. basically the core of it, lou, is what you've been talking about for many years from the manufacturing base, getting our supply chain solid once again. that's what the deal will do. lou: what you think congress is going to do with it? >> congress is going to love this deal on both sides of the
4:07 am
aisle. ambassador lighthizer should get a big pat on the back along with jerry kushner who worked alongside ambassador lighthizer. he will get this up to capitol hill which set a 90 day clock in motion and we are hoping to get a vote on this within 90 days. we think that this will appeal across the aisle. there's great protection in there for things like biologics. a ten-year projection. orin hatch will love that. lou: sorry to have to tell you we are at the end of our time. we appreciate it. congratulations again. another terrific victory for the trump administration. inc. so much. peter navarro. the next committee antitrust hysterics from the left wing media. not enough to fool the american people. sorry, national left-wing media, but those are the facts. people are paying attention to what this president is doing and
4:08 am
it's a lot and it's historic. >> i give myself an a+. when i finished the trade deals, you watch what happens for farmers. they are going to be very, very happy. lou: we take of the president's latest poll numbers right after the break. we will find them fascinating. ed rollins joins me here next. much
4:12 am
lou: this is the most attacked president and presidential history and three new polls showed that president trump's approval rating college and study throughout the all-out constant assault from the dems come the left-wing national media, the rhinos, the mueller which aren't according to the nbc "wall street journal" poll, president trump is up 44% approval rating among registered voters. a harvard poll has the president 46%. rasmussen also has him at 46%. i mean, that is astounding. crying clown chuck schumer to rename the russell senate office building for the late senator john mccain hoping perhaps we will forget the dems segregationist history.
4:13 am
the building was named after senator richard russell who opposed bills be in mainland china civil rights to all americans. he was a democrat. a democrat. another democrat by the name of schumer now using senator mccain stepped he tried to conceal the history of the democratic party whose class segregation left us in 2010 are joining us tonight, ed rollins, political strategists and chairman of the great america pac, hall of fame political consultant and served as white house political are under ronald reagan. ed rollins, great to have you here. let's start with the poll numbers. this president is just, he just continues to amaze with not only his accomplishments, which are historic, but with his ability to withstand and defend himself against all of these assaults.
4:14 am
>> all 46%, "the wall street journal." he was 46% last month. that's the strongest number any modern president has gone on a midterm election in the first term other than bush after 9/11. so he is very well-positioned. he is 95% of the republican base and his party. it is extraordinary. he's got over 30 independents and it's important they build the key factor. i think he is withstood the assault and the reality is he's going strong. lou: he is going strong in every aspect of the presidency. he is showing true leadership, true results. i mean, there is nowhere -- can you imagine a president, not even in office now a year and a half doing this.
4:15 am
well, it's over a year and a half. it's extraordinary to think that he is doing all of this so quickly and so profound. >> a businessman he knew what to do. i think most people doubted that he could do it, but he did it. a massive tax cut, rollback all the regulatory deficiencies that obama had put in the last couple years and he's got the economy booming. he's creating jobs, doing everything everybody wanted and all this stuff is all irrelevant to the big picture. lou: think our confidence he has instilled in this country in less than two years. part of that attributed to the campaign when you look at what he was saying and campaigning on, was very positive. day in and day out the attacks from 16 republican competitors. i don't hear anyone who doesn't
4:16 am
say what in the world would've happened. >> for major deficiencies he had when he came in. we had to rebuild the military which is obviously doing. second, the foreign policy was viewed as weak. march from behind her father from behind. lead from behind. kind of a strange position. clearly he's proven he can stand on the stage. getting the economy moving forward, creating jobs and the lowering unemployment is down dramatically at a certain extent has created a great confidence in the country. again, the people out there beyond our fellow citizens, beyond california and new york basically see the accomplishment . lou: less than our fellow citizens. i don't know why just because they are awash in blue paint. >> is someone who lives in new
4:17 am
york and i grew up in california, these are representing middle america. lou: ed rollins, thank you for being with us. >> by pleasure. lou: be sure to vote in our poll tonight. the question is deeply the biggest president for fair and reciprocal trade agreements are really rural leaders, but rather american bands. the national media at home. the rhinos. the chamber of commerce, the cult others and yes, wall street geared cast your vote on twitter @loudobbs. like me on facebook, follow me and mr. grant. also as the great things happen when you do. president trump gets another big win. a treaty with mexico. but the national left-wing media, they are despairing instead of applauding. what is the problem? i take that up in my commentary tonight. that is next. stay with
4:22 am
lou: well, tonight we can read all the newspapers available, the website, seeing here all sorts of people -- the president of the united states. that's right, bash him, trashing, insult and disparaging endlessly. and they attacked the president daily, relentlessly. but not because he is failed in any way. to the contrary. president trump is succeeding beyond even the imaginings of his most ardent, passionate supporters repeatedly paramilitary, establishing american strategic preeminence rather than obama strategic patience. today keeping his promise to tear up trade deals and particularly nafta because nafta was a particularly deal even among vast numbers of dumb u.s. trade agreements. particularly times than rhinos by keeping another campaign

promises. you would think right now they would've learned, mr. trump says what he means and means what he says. already i'm historic resident inspiring trillions of dollars of growth in our market driving economic growth of 4% when his predecessor claimed less than 2% was the new normal and insisted that are entrepreneurs had hoped that. think of all this that the president has accomplished deregulating our economy which had been suffocating under the dems than obama. cutting taxes just as he promised in restoring american confidence throughout expanding our middle class, which is moving higher, restoring press iridium for all americans. record low unemployment rates for minorities. he campaigned for minority votes asking what have you got to lose. everyone now is winning with this president. the lowest unemployment rate for
4:24 am
women in almost two decades. he's rollback the oppressive values and the policies that the obama years, obama the oppressor you might've called him. we apologize for america on a global scale amidst opportunities for all our people. do you recall, by the way, single article in "the new york times" or "washington post" on 60 minutes criticizing mr. obama? me either. imagine what the national left-wing media could be doing right now to our great president if he weren't historic and was failing america like his predecessor rather than succeeding. president trump is leaving america for that. if you are as well, i hope you'll take some time and make your views known in 71 days. your vote will count, just like it did two years ago. think where we could have been and how happy the national left-wing media would have been
4:25 am
had we not voted for president trump. let's do some more winning. quote of the evening from president trump who said this. quote, i have a different vision for workers begins at the new fair trade policy that protects our jobs and stands up to countries that she'd had spent his signature message of my campaign from day one and it will be a signature feature of my presidency from the moment i take the oath of office. up next, america's big technology companies trying to silence conservatives while the smear president trump. we will tell you what she will see when you do a google search for the president when social media stars diamond and so join me here next year to stay with us. us. we will be right back with i joined the army after 911, cuz, um, i thought that was what i needed to do.
4:26 am
we got our orders to go overseas and i went to baghdad, iraq. we were transporting a bomb sniffing dog to the polling stations. we rolled over two anti-tank mines, it blew my humvee up, killed my sergeant. after the explosion, i suffered a closed head injury, um, traumatic brain injury, loss of a limb, burns to 60% of my body. when the doctors told me i reached my plateau, i did not want to hear that because i do not believe i have a plateau. so, i had to prove 'em wrong, which i am doing to this day and i will still do until the end of my days. i've gotten to where i am at because of my family. and, the wounded warrior project has helped me more than i can ever imagine. they have really been there to support me in my endeavors. my number one goal, basically,

4:29 am
lou: breaking news now. prominent evangelicals, president trump raising the service of the late senator, john mccain. >> also, our hearts and prayers are going to the family of senator john mccain. a lot of activity over the next number of days and we very much appreciate everything that senator mccain has done for our country. so thank you very much. state to lie in state at the u.s. capitol. vice president mike s., defense secretary jim mattis, adviser john bolton attending to represent the trump administration. google blatantly suppressing conservative media outlets from american searching for trump and the site to show interesting places. 96% of the results are national left-wing media in the first 100 results and it appears most frequently. 21 times following by "washington post" and nbc. that is tough going. joining us tonight, social media stars, president trump most loyal supporters, diamond and silk. great to see you in great to have you with us. i take it that you are not surprised of that google is, well, sort of handing conservatives from their search results with president trump.
4:31 am
>> no, it is not surprising. and to us it is tyranny. he had been media outlet along with google take it in their suppressing voices of conservatives. not only that, but pages where we can be president trump for good news about what is going on in our country when it comes to this president. i am not for big government, but i do believe the government should step in and really check this out. this again is going to turn into tyranny. we don't need to cater share. we don't need people controlling what we can and cannot see. >> this also looks like a form of political lynching. instead of using a news commentators in algorithms and a form of censorship. to keep you from being able to do your search whenever you want to search for a beautiful president. >> people are not paying attention to lots of changes in the algorithm if you will. google is now going very shallow in its search results.
4:32 am
it was robust, rich. now it is political in many cases and this is one of them. it is a shame. when you talk about big government, the role of government in balancing that against, when you see a biased result like this from one of the most powerful companies if not the most powerful company in this country, you have to do something. and yet, we are permitting deep, profound economic concentration of wealth, do you profound concentration of political power. by the way, no surprise here that economic and political power resides in the hands of those corporate titans who make up silicon valley in the heads of big tax. >> you're absolutely right. this is exactly why somebody's going to have to step in and take a look at this here.
4:33 am
not only can they control the united states, but control the world. everything around the world trade big tech companies don't care about conservative voices. they don't care about our president. they want to push their narrative and they want you to bite that narrative they are trying to control the masses and we cannot let that happen. lou: and if we didn't have a president like this one, i don't know where we'd be. he has his own access to the american people, over 100 million americans in social media. without that, can you imagine all of those folks at the "washington post" and "the new york times" clucking about the president using twitter. they don't like that so much. >> well, they may not like it, but here is the thing. he has to use twitter to get his message out. the left-wing media is going to beat him out. they will run their narrative. they will play games and use scare tactics because we have to to get this message out through social media.
4:34 am
lou: and is working for him and as i say, thank goodness he has a twitter account. i wanted to show you some pain. yesterday trying to create a little controversy and a story asking tiger woods about race relations, trying to figure out how he can get tiger woods involved in politics and sports. here is what happened. >> the president of the united states no matter who is in the office, you may like, and dislike personality or the politics. so we all must respect the office. lou: i have to get tiger woods all the credit in the world as he stood up. he could have deflected. he could have ignored the question about the relationship with the president and he said it straight up, i have to tell
4:35 am
you, it is nice to see tiger woods and others stand up for this president in the office he holds. your thoughts. >> it is nice to see. you know, tiger woods play golf. and letting people know, you have to respect the office. if you look at what is happening in our country, almost two years now there has been blatant disrespect for the sitting president. imagine if this was barack hussein obama. so to have someone like tiger woods stand up and say whatever you may think i'm you still have to respect the highest office in america. he was speaking the truth about that. lou: a whenever it if reporters had shown a little respect for probably now one of the greatest -- not probably, greatest golfers in history, but also one of the smartest. he did a terrific job as well as a principled response.
4:36 am
diamond is though, always great to see you. thanks for being with us. >> thanks for having us. lou: i get to do a little promo now. be sure to check out divan insults to her. up next, october 7, marietta, georgia. you guys have fun. thanks for being with us. radical dems out for blood lineages doll the president's policies and agenda if they win back control of the house. >> the best thing we can do is promise the american people if we are given the majority that we will conduct the investigations they are unwilling to conduct including the campaign-finance violations, including questions about his contacts with the russians and including his tax returns. lou: wow, we'll take up how lou: wow, we'll take up how republicans can fight

4:40 am
lou: congressional republicans server preparing for a barrage of legal investigations into legal investigations i assume should the radical dems take back control of the house and they have some good reason apparently. just listen to the anti-trump rhetoric they've been tripling. >> i rise today, mr.'s weaker,
4:41 am
to call for the impeachment of the president of the united states of america. >> the president's decision to end sub seven is a despicable act of coward. >> this order was mean-spirited and un-american. >> the president has something been called into question our very worried about his fitness. >> some of the democrats are saying please don't mention the word impeachment. don't worry about the investigation. let mueller talk about that. we've got to talk about our issues. lou: the dems will be left without their greatest abstraction. that of course would be lame ducks speaker paul ryan. joining us tonight, rnc
4:42 am
committee women for the great state of new york. great to have you with us. >> thanks, lou. this spreadsheet, whose office to supposedly thought? >> well, i have my sis nations, but it not crazy for the republicans to be preparing for what happens in case they fail to motivate the voters and hold onto congress. lou: now wait a minute. i've got to ask you about that. they were preparing for how many years two and obamacare, to wipe it out, careful planning there by the republicans. i've not seen a correlation between house republicans and their careful preparation and results at all in anything. >> i can't disagree with you, lou. the reality is they did fail to do a lot of the things they promised. obamacare is front and center at the event and start being the president's agenda on the front
4:43 am
and now they're looking out for their own highs. that is that democrats are looking for. the president seems to be impervious to their bowling, but all of these other people are not. democrats are counting on taking control of the house in using all these different committees. not just one committee, not just impeachment, but harassment at every level of the administration or in congress. that is a significant risk if we don't perform well in the midterms. lou: as you and i have discussed, as the chair of the rnc, mcdaniels has pointed out, every republican should be attaching themselves to the trump agenda. we are told as many as 40% are not doing that. that's why a lot of savants are very worried about keeping control of the house because the chamber of commerce, paul ryan is doing nothing apparently. i am told reliably he's not raising money. he can't raise money because
4:44 am
he's a lame duck and not particularly beloved by his party. he's not campaigning for anybody. why in the world does the republican party and the republican conference in the house putting up with this, this ryan fellow? >> well, i think i was a tactical error frankly. i will say to be fair the republicans another leadership besides paul ryan is out there on the campaign trail raising money. lou: but they would be out there anyway. >> well, yes. some of them are doing their jobs come but it would've been better to replace them i totally agree. concern is not so much about events in the president's agenda and conservative values, but their, but there is steeped in their own political futures and lobbying careers for some of them. lou: does it occur to anyone in the republican party this president may get sick of all this nonsense?
4:45 am
he gets no support from the leaders in capitol hill. he is attacked by rhinos and his own party. he is attacked by the establishment whether it's democrat or republican and you've got so few people actually standing up, shoulder to shoulder with this president. honestly, it takes a big man, not to just say the hell with it. they see the economy growing at four plus%. jobs like never before. and he has to put up with nonsense like he is a racist. he has done more for minorities in this country than any president in frankly decades. it is just ignorance. the national left wing media, there is scrupulous to the part of outright corruption. >> absolutely. members of congress calling for the harassment of members of
4:46 am
this administration. the media constantly badgering a demagoguery there. it's become miserable for normal people with lives than whisenhunt and children to go through that every day. democrats are counting on that. it is tough times for some of these people. lou: do know -- i've got to be honest with you, talking about the president. he's got everything. he's achieved more in his lifetime. he doesn't need this. he's already historic. i mean, if you stop right now, he goes down in the history books for what he's done. people don't think about this rationally. he's done more in a year and a half than obama did in eight years. by the way, what little he did this president authority roll back. been that way. the american people are seeing that, but it's incumbent on us republicans to make sure they turn out and vote because the stakes are high regardless of the fact the president has this much success. democrats stall his agenda going
4:47 am
forward, looking at two years of gridlock and i would be very bad for the country because there's a lot more the president needs to accomplish with members of congress there hopefully to support him. i really hope we are able to motivate people and get out there. lou: you know, every time i hear one more rhino spilling blather on capitol hill, i can imagine why anyone would vote for said of this sad blather. i want to have an absolute fire wall between himself these fools attacking him. but honestly, the american people of god to be kidding sick of these fools who call themselves congressman and republicans simultaneously and you know they don't do much of the job either. >> well, i can't disagree with you, lou. we need better from congress. disappointing numbers on our side. a lot of disappointing numbers on the other side. some of them will get voted out,
4:48 am
but it's up to all of us to hold the line. like you said a firewall. when the president to complete his agenda in the next two years and that means people have to do their jobs as well. lou: if we are going to do that for militias consider a six years, shall we? >> absolutely. like you said i hope he doesn't get sick of all this drama. lou: there is a good way to take a bat -- take care of that. 71 days i said earlier. collective bargaining. thank you very much, harmeet dhillon comments always thank you for being with us. collective bargaining has made its way to our prison system. inmates across the country striking for better food, fair pay and work in an end to what they call modern slavery. among those protesting our 60 illegal immigrants in tacoma, washington. we will tell you all about that next. president trump's poll numbers soaring despite the efforts of the radical dems and the national left wing media

4:53 am
about 8000 for the first time in his area. that's an all-time high by the way. a reminder to listen to my reports three times a day coast-to-coast on the salem radio network your joining us tonight, former pollster hillary clinton advisor, great american. good to have you with us. >> thank you. good evening. i want to start with these poll numbers. i'm just interested in how you react to president trump holding at 44-46 in two polls despite the pummeling he takes every day. >> well, i'm a codirector of the harris poll and i'm as surprised as anybody else that he held about 46% job approval after the pummeling that he clearly got in the media. president clinton during very similar situation when the
4:54 am
economy was good, he got hit with michael instead they kept our ratings above 50 to see the same thing. you know what, this is not about issues that affect me. lou: and yet, there is not even so much as a blush. as they go off on all sorts of salacious nonsense that is irrelevant as you say. it is pure titillation at best and has nothing to do with that conspiracy collusion with russians, all of the nonsense that has been spewed by actually a republican justice department. it is extraordinary. >> as you know, i spent a year fighting ken starr because i thought this was the wrong direction, a wasted year for the country then. and i think it is a wasted year here in so much airtime with
4:55 am
mueller. i was stunned when they got him to plead guilty to things that were not even crimes to reach out to implicate president trump related to this campaign contributions, which frankly should and a civil matter even if they were campaign contributions, which i highly doubt they are based on my long experience with campaign. lou: and your judgment that hillary clinton gives every appearance of being far guiltier than anyone assist he did with a special counsel, at least the targets of this special counsel at this point. she was given a free pass. give the president some counsel here tonight. >> well look, the president has got to defeat the mueller investigation. he's doing basically the right thing. i think his tweets often times go over the top.
4:56 am
but i think when you go back, as this investigation by a? yes it is. was the foundation corrupt? it really was. the more you look at what happened with the fbi, has this now kind of somehow transmuted back towards 1998 all over again where we are looking at the private lives of the e-mail, of our president. yes, it has. any fair person now sees that, which is why we've got to remove these kinds of investigations from politics and let elections decide things. lou: in the hill you had written a piece talking about fusion gps and writing, there is no question that hiring spies to do research in russia would qualify as a campaign expenditure and get no prosecution. everyone associated in the justice department. the fbi, they are looking at it
4:57 am
and have been looking at it, yet they don't want to take that on for some strange and i'm sure correct reasoning. >> what i was trying to contrast was they had stretched everything imaginable to try to implicate trump related to these nondisclosure payments related to things from a decade ago. at the same time, clearly the expenditure is that where made to fusion gps and christopher steele. they have to be reported for what they were and not used as a law firm for a cut out for that. i'm not suggesting, by the way, that hillary and her campaign should have been prosecuted. equal treatment should have occurred here in both of these things should have been called out in adjudicated in the edwards case. it's already been adjudicated that these nondisclosure payments are personal. not properly to screw us. people don't do to jail for this. they get fined.
4:58 am
lou: i bet next there is an attorney-client privilege is respected by the fbi. especially president trump. >> you've never seen the kind of deference that was accorded to attorneys with hillary versus the complete opposite. any school child could see that this is a fact that you're out to get the president and that's why this is wrong. lou: good to have you with us. hope you come back soon. >> thank you. lou: this is where we are. president trump announcing he's renegotiating nafta and has reached a new trade deal with mexico, canada yet to be brought in. director of the white house national trade council peter navarra joined us to tell how this will restore strength in the auto industry for example. >> what we are doing here is bringing back our auto parts industry, auto industry for the
4:59 am
rest of the world >> we are bringing back our auto parts trifrom the rest of the aling it from the united states with some of their own unfair practices. lou: the president's approval ratings holding steady. ed rollins saying the president approaches the mid-term elections with some of the strongest poll numbers. 96% of google searches for trump end up with something from the left-wing media. that's it for us tonight. we'll be talk with sidney powell and jim jordan.

>> big day for trade big day for our country. a lot of people thought we would never get here. this is a tremendous thing. canada will start negotiations shortly. cheryl: hob today negotiations are going to restart canada's foreign minister is arriving in washington on heels of a trade deal between the pus and mexico. lauren: new records an nasdaq crossing 8,000 for the first time. the s&p 500 hitting new high. and the dow is officially out of correction territory. cheryl: can rally continue let's take a look at futures this morning. kind of pretty slightly red start to your day. dow down 5 in premarket. s&p down half a
