4:00 am
finds it, they might. charles: sarah fisher, thank you thank you very much. here is lou. lou: good evening, everybody. our top stories, momentum for trump backed candidate building as we draw closer to the all-important midterm elections. key primaries being held tonight in florida, arizona and oklahoma. >> if you want your community is to be saved, if you want your schools to be safe, if you want your country to be safe, then you must go out and get the democrats the hell out of office. lou: this hell out of office.
4:01 am
we will have ed rollins here to assess what is likely to be the result and michigan republican candidate of the u.s. senate, john james joining us. also tonight, the long-awaited testimony from disgraced department of justice official, bruce or playing out behind closed doors today before the house judiciary committee in oversight committees. what is the subs to explain about role in creating the bogus trump dossier and why can't the american people hear his testimony for themselves. >> although bruce ohr what appeared to claim to be without partisan, his wife since 2015 knowingly worked on the find of on trump, trying to make this connection with the russians, for which he was paid and he didn't properly disclosed. lou: prominent republican congressman jim jordan joining us tonight. he was in the hearings today and we will take that up with him and much more. the trump economy remains
4:02 am
red-hot. stocks hitting new highs today. consumer confidence soaring to levels not seen in nearly two decades. we will bring you bought the winning details straight ahead. our top story tonight. we are now 70 days from arguably the most important election day in decades. there are seven primaries before november 6th in which both parties will choose their nominees for the numerous congressional and gubernatorial races. tonight, one of the biggest on the primary calendar, voters heading to the polls in florida and arizona as well as the republican runoff election in the oklahoma gubernatorial race. the polls have just closed in florida were two candidates are looking to ride the trump ways. resident trump has endorsed rick scott and his effort to almost s congressman ron desantis who
4:03 am
wants to be governor. >> every poll was taken in our campaign has had me up strong and i think you will see a strong fit to read, but if it read to show strength in all corners of florida. lou: over in arizona, at first to extend voting hours after voting booths in the state state's largest county. president trump has endorsed to d.c. for governor there. the most contested race features three republican senate candidates who are all strongly behind the president's agenda or at least say they are and are trying to replace the weak and the ineffective brian l. jeff flake who is going away. >> michigan gop senate nominee john james is looking forward to november 6th. first of all, congratulations to you on your back or he and tonight you've got to be feeling considerable empathy for all of those candidates in those three
4:04 am
states who have so much riding on their relationship with the president and his agenda. your thought. >> absolutely. and he came back to this past august 7th in iran for the overwhelming peace that came to me on august 7th. but basically, the lord his god and the victory as his. after that, all the hard work that got put in by the grassroots -- grassroots supporters we had in getting the trump endorsement they really did mean so much. folks really got behind my candidacy because they recognize they have the x or has developed in combat understanding national security and experience growing my business from 35 million to 137 million adding 100 jobs in michigan and all of the country that i'm the best candidate to lead michigan for the future and protect the american dream for all michiganders. lou: it sounds like you said that once or twice before this campaign year. let's turn to your thoughts
4:05 am
about the importance of the president and the relationship that candidates have with the president who has an unprecedented record of achievement and then not even 20 months in office. it is an extraordinary historic president and the historic opportunity. yet we see a number particularly in the house, a number of candidates who have chosen to stay rinos until the bitter end and it looks like it may well be there. your thoughts. i will just say that our president has accomplished more in just about 20 months in d.c. dan debbie sabin now having two years in washington. she has only accomplished getting five bills into law in 18 years and that is the reward we in michigan get for her over $4 million that she's been paid in taxpayer in her salary over a 40 year career. i believe we deserve better and our president endorsed him because he recognized that the skill set and the courage and
4:06 am
imagination to lead effectively on day one. someone who will support the agenda to make sure we continue our economic growth. lou: i'm sorry -- i'm sorry, john, i think you misunderstood my question or a miscommunicated it. i was asking about the importance of that relationship between other candidates. you've run your primary and i know that all important general election looms. but i would like your thoughts and the audience would like your thoughts about the broader national political choices that are being made out there. >> well, i was getting to the point -- lou: on the show, john, we get to it right away. >> all right, let's get to it. people recognize less administration told us 2% was table space for economic growth. lou: the new normal. >> the new normal. our president said we don't accept that. we need to grow 4% to 5%. last quarter was four by 1% and were projecting 4.5% unemployment at record lows for
4:07 am
african-american latinos and women in our president is getting results. the deals that have been made is not just in michigan, but around the country people are seeing the results rather than resistance is better for all americans. rising tide lifts all boats and i believe now consumer confidence is soaring with more money in people's august because of the tax cuts and jobs act. that is what people are responding to here in michigan and that is why i'm the nominee for the republican party and looking forward to nature they fight to protect the american dream for all michiganders. lou: john james, thank you for being with us. wish you a lot of luck. >> go to john james for senate. lou: you got it. did you approve that message? >> absolutely. lou: coming up next. we thank you for being with us. coming up next, bruce ohr another member said the deep state can't keep their stories
4:08 am
straight about the anti-trump dossier. >> in the first hour of testimony, it became very clear there a number of factual conflicts. either bruce ohr is lying or glenn simpson is fine. and in another instance, either bruce ohr is lying or lisa simpson is lying. lou: we will take that up with jim jordan. jim jordan. he joins us here i want some more
4:09 am
what's he doin? but, he can't look at him! it's just not done! please sir. i want some more more? more? more? more? please sir he has asked for... thank you what? well he did say please sir yes he did and, thank you yeah. and thank you he's a wonderful boy (laugh) a delightful boy (all boys): thank you, thank you, thank you.
4:10 am
4:11 am
4:12 am
lou: disgraced doj official bruce ohr arrives on capitol hill, ignored questions reporters met behind closed doors today with house oversight and judiciary committees about his relationship with the author of that bogus fraudulent anti-trump dossier. christopher steele. mark matas suggested to reporters that the fisa court was never told about the credibility questions that are largely associated with the dossier. >> not only did the fbi know that the dossier was unverified, but they also knew there was real credibility issues because of the inherent way that it was
4:13 am
collected and the bias that was associated with that. lou: earlier today i talked to congressman jim jordan about bruce ohr testimony behind those doors and of course the all-important primaries in the upcoming mid-terms. joining us tonight is member of the house oversight and judiciary committees, cofounder of the house freedom caucus, congressman from ohio, jim jordan, republican running for the speakership. congressman, good to see you. we appreciate you taking the time. a lot to cover tonight. let's start with the first is primaries. how important it is to prevail and to win the upcoming midterms. >> well look. democrats have been very clear to take back the majority in the house bill raise your taxes, abolish i.c.e., impeach the president. so that is what is at stake here but we should do it my judgment
4:14 am
when my judgment would make it back next week we should do what we said. particularly put the border security wall, the single biggest promise that republicans made in the 2016 election, put that on the funding bill. senate over the first week of september. send it over there, have the month-long debate and win on what we told the american people we were going to do. that will help us as we get ready for the election and keep the majority. lou: within that come is certainly some have styled it builds the damn wall. you are picking up a lot of steam. cathy mcmorris rogers some of the most powerful republican women in congress now stating she is on uris died. >> she said she's open, which i think is great. kathy is a great member of congress and served our country in her district well. the fact that she's open is a good sign of the momentum we are building across the country,
4:15 am
lou. lou: i perhaps took that one step a little too far. the reality is as a member of the leadership, that she chairs the republican conference in the house. i mean, that is impressive. it's also a signal to everyone in leadership that she's open to you being the leader of republicans in the house. >> and doing everything i can to keep the majority for the reason i just talked about. hope donald trump, who's had an amazing year and a half of it to help him get done what we need to get done and more importantly what we told the voters we would do. the grassroots support has been phenomenal. every major conservative organization supporting a period we've been endorsed by all kinds of important people like that lou dobbs guy on fox business. i'm pleased with the support we are getting across the country and we'll keep working hard all the way through the november election. lou: this is an extraordinary time. it is so critical as you say,
4:16 am
for this president to have men and women serving districts, supporting his agenda because it is so clear that this president is leading the nation is at never been like before. >> think about the year and a half, lou. regulations down, taxes reduced. unemployment the lowest in 20 years. gorsuch on the court, cavanaugh on deck. they have been returned from north korea. that's an amazing year and a half. talk about those things that have congress to a few more things that we told the voters we are going to do like reforming welfare and building a border security wall. we do those things will keep the majority and keep making america great again and keep doing things the american people elected us to do. that is my vision. that's what i want to do because that's what we told them we were going to do. lou: you have been persistent leading throughout, trying to reveal the truth behind the
4:17 am
so-called mueller witchhunt with it rational and unbiased as it's supposed to be, the furthest thing from it. your thoughts on bruce ohr, his appearance before the judiciary committee today behind closed doors. your take. >> we learned some important things. we can't get into all that until the transcript was public. go back to the fundamentals. bruce ohr from a top justice department official, his wife works for the firm hired by the clintons to produce the dossier. the dossier that is the foundation of this hold and which was disproven, salacious, unverifiable. that dossier, fusion is giving to bruce ohr who has ohr who was then given it to the fbi. we know about and the fbi took it to the court, didn't tell the court who paid for it or the guy that wrote it, that christopher steele had been terminated. and now they knew about her
4:18 am
involvement and didn't tell the court that either. that is unbelievable. they did all that for what are best? to get a warrant to spy on the other party's campaign. you've got to be kidding me. it was never supposed to happen that way in united hates america, but it did. this is the biggest abuse of power i've ever seen and i'll keep digging on it and so will my colleagues until we get all the answers for the american people. lou: and as you say, the critical element here is turnout in this midterm election. we have been assured on this broadcast, rana mcdaniel, the chair of the rnc that they've got a ground game like no other ground game before. her level of competence on turnout at a make a key to turnout is to run with the president of the united states are the key to turnout is talk about the things they want to get done to make america great again and fulfill promises he made to the voters and they gave us the privilege to serve. the idea will run individual
4:19 am
races and run away from the president is flat out wrong. i think we nationalize this election as much as possible. the best course of action in republican districts around the country. nationalize and talk about how we work with the president to accomplish the same that we told them we are going to do in 2016 and more importantly that they elected us to do. lou: congressman jim jordan making it fair to all of us why there is such a broadening, building support for the speakership. great to have you with us. thank you so much. >> take care, buddy. lou: congressman jim jordan. he sure to vote in our poll tonight. do you think the best way for republican candidate to win in the midterms is to align themselves with president trump's agenda, the president himself who has made good on his campaign promises and restored america as the economic and geopolitical superpower of the world? cast your vote on twitter @loudobbs. follow me on twitter @loudobbs.
4:20 am
a poll we are conducting right now is one of the most scientific polls ever conducted on broadcast media. likely on facebook. follow me on instagram @loudobbs tonight. they call him mad max kellerman, blasting tiger woods for defending the office of the presidency. how badly does espn need ratings? my goodness, my goodness. we take this up and more with ed rollins. rollins. we will be right i joined the army after 911,
4:21 am
cuz, um, i thought that was what i needed to do. we got our orders to go overseas
4:22 am
and i went to baghdad, iraq. we were transporting a bomb sniffing dog to the polling stations. we rolled over two anti-tank mines, it blew my humvee up, killed my sergeant. after the explosion, i suffered a closed head injury, um, traumatic brain injury, loss of a limb, burns to 60% of my body. when the doctors told me i reached my plateau, i did not want to hear that because i do not believe i have a plateau. so, i had to prove 'em wrong, which i am doing to this day and i will still do until the end of my days. i've gotten to where i am at because of my family. and, the wounded warrior project has helped me more than i can ever imagine. they have really been there to support me in my endeavors. my number one goal, basically, is to get close to where i was.
4:23 am
i am more than ready to work hard to get to that goal. i am living proof to never give up and i will never give up.
4:24 am
lou: espn anchor matt kellerman, i'm told he's a leftist, he is often called mad max kellerman took issue with tiger woods statement that america should respect the office of the presidency. here we go. >> it is a thoughtless statement
4:25 am
dressed up as a thoughtful statement. we must respect the office. tiger cub is that what you're saying? if that is what you're saying, that is a stupid comment. lou: former talent has accused them of firing while only hiring left-wing reporters here do they have any other kind? the networks president said espn is not a political organization them out to mad max. california gubernatorial candidate gal induce them is somewhat of a socialist. sort of a full throated socialist as well. he wants to give free health care to illegal immigrants. he's very proud to stand with cisco has the only health care plan in america that covers all illegal immigrants. he wants to see that extended to everyone who breaks the law to enter the golden state. this is the total death california has learned to over
4:26 am
$143 trillion. when you now, ed rollins, said bond, chairman of the great america pac, political director for the reagan white house. great to see you. >> thank you. pretty soon he's going to have to build a border on the nevada ball because it's about to go bankrupt with these policies and i think to a certain extent overrun by homeless in san francisco and obviously we'll see what kind of governor he's going to be. not a very good one i don't think. lou: the primaries without going today we will get another reading as we approach november 6, 70 days out now for the general election. your thoughts on first look at florida. in florida is a critical day. we have an excellent opportunity of picking up that senate seat with governor scott and the governorship because it is the two big states for republicans were texas and florida
4:27 am
offsetting new york and california. i think that ron desantis has been leading in the polls than he should eke it out and maybe win big. lou: did you say t. get out and maybe win big? >> that's how i get to be a savant. somewhere between winning and winning big. lou: never can find those competing concepts, which is almost -- you just heard jim jordan talking about the importance of this election. the democrats are being absolutely, not transparent, and everyone's face talking about impeachment of the president. he is right. it's just going to be more -- another incentive for republican i would think to get to the polls. >> he was very animated. i was very pleased big fan of his. the democrats not show up for the judicial committee hearing
4:28 am
today with ohr. it just tells you where they are. they can't come to a committee where the minority certainly we done on one -- we've got a lot at stake here and it's a very close election and everybody has to participate. if our burgers tonight but we will win. if they don't, just another profiling statement. lou: you know, you know coming fewer just i think the expression is burnishing. [laughter] let's turn to arizona. that is a wild senate race there, well, to see those three all embracing trump. i don't know. can you assess the rest the earnestness in the honesty and sincerity in it each and attaching themselves to president trump? >> a candidate endorsed early on with the trump supporter from the get-go.
4:29 am
obviously sheriff joe has been a trump supporter and got a pardon from the president. the possible winner is the person's favorite right now, the congressperson who won't tell you whether she voted for trump. lou: who is that? sally? >> legibly the front runner. investors several times did you vote for trump and she can't say that. now a trump supporter in the sense he ends up winning the got to make sure she wins because the state is too important to us. this state could be the most important state in the sense of winning a majority. lou: and governor do see and governor ducey is in this election. >> is a real race. it shouldn't be. he's got an important decision to make who replaces john mccain insert me that the decision he's put off until after the election. lou: well, a lot of people have talked about for crying out loud, cindy mccain, you know, i can understand if they were on
4:30 am
horrific. we are talking about two years of the senators term that she would be in office. >> i'd be happy to have her be the nominee if there were 65 republicans. there is not. so the bottom line is i have no idea whether she's a valid vote. we don't need another mccain and another mccain in there basically for the same boat. lou: i hope the governor, and there's no reason to think otherwise, that ducey would want to do anything other than support this president. his support of the governor as well. this is a president who needs ever public and behind the agenda. >> a good conservative would be very important. lou: and what is going on with the suggestion that the president should not for the attorney general should not resign at the president's request. and mitch mcconnell today stepping in and saying that he
4:31 am
thinks sessions should stay in place. >> i was after lindsey graham basically said the system is not working the president should have the choice and certainly the day after the election i would assume that session will need to be removed or resigned. this president has to get his own person in there who basically will fight through the agenda and sessions hasn't done that to date. lou: rosenstein in signing memos as acting attorney general. not deputy attorney general. he is also very bald faced about his being enamored with the power of the position. >> a dangerous thing we talked about that in the southern district of new york basically has some precedent here is outrageous. this whole investigation. lou: this nonsense, this is a war. democrats are trying to subvert a president and subvert his presidency, policies that are antithetical to whatever it is
4:32 am
the democrats have decided they stand for this week. but mitch mcconnell again surprisingly because it was back two and half weeks ago. if they could put up a full screen. this is mitch mcconnell supporting the president of the united states, changing his position on tariffs and the president insistence upon balanced reciprocal fair trade around the world saying this and surprising everyone when he did on august 10th, quote, i hope there is a better deal to be made out of this, particularly with regard to the chinese who've been eating our lunch for years. i am not as hopeful we can get a better deal at the north american free trade agreement than we currently have. but there is no question that the chinese situation is unsustainable and i commend the president for taking them on. there was a rich language in the part of the senate majority leader. that is full support to the
4:33 am
president's trade policy. >> if he doesn't if he doesn't continue support for trade policy, he will be the majority leader. to support the president's programs. lou: the very idea that the democrats are trying to delay the confirmation of judge kavanaugh is astonishing. i agree with you. that is because you are a savant. he liked that word, don't you? >> i had to go look it up to find out what the hell it was. lou: ed rollins. the relationship between the corrupt justice department and the national left-wing media. we take up intelligence officials who accuse linked information, gas, information they leak in order to spy on him suspect in american citizens. that is next. that is next. we are

questions for you tonight. we don't have time for all of them. the fbi caught using illicit corrupt practices, justifying spying on president trump campaign and i mean, we don't have an investigation that has begun in the justice department of all of the obvious corrupt and illicit activities on the part of doj officials in a vi. >> it is not an short of stunning, lou. the misconduct going back at least into 2015. we've got the report of the inspector general from the department of justice. the inspector general for the intelligence community has reportedly advised the fbi that they knew that there were problems with the hillary clinton early on, and apparently has been hacked by the chinese.
4:41 am
>> and now we have again a confirmation this week that the chinese reportedly have access to her server. we know that there were other actors, quote, unquote, who had access to her in the clear server. there has been no question about why the secretary of state never had a state department e-mail address, never used it and in fact did all the communicating and e-mail again in an insecure environment on a personal server. >> exactly. it was a crime from the minute she set it up. as soon as she set up the server to receive government e-mails, she committed a crime. it should have been investigated
4:42 am
it still should be investigated. we know that the chinese cut all her e-mails. we know that anthony weiner, the sex pervert got all of her e-mails. it is beyond stunning. lou: and being permitted to do so. frankly, it appears to be an orchestrated relationship between the investigators and those who are suspect dead of immense wrongdoing, whether it be hillary clinton, whether it be the top officials of the fbi, again, as congressman jim jordan pointing out he's never in his life seen this many people at the top of the u.s. government department of the reassigned, retire or be fired. it is despicable. and now, lanny davis, and michael cohen, the president's former attorney acknowledging
4:43 am
that he lied about, in two instances, the relationship, well, the relationship between president trump into events. one that he know about the trump tower meeting in advance and two that he knew about the russian hacking in advance, both of which were reported by cnn and to my knowledge they still have not come even though lanny davis has recanted and apologized in a cnn hasn't acknowledged the erroneous reporting at all. >> lanny davis has been a clinton shill for decades. i would mix that anything else from him. we now know that bruce ohr, number four in doj when all this was happening was also leaking to the press. a page strip text message to that effect seems like it's been confirmed her testimony that starting to come out now. lou: a match in this department of justice, the fbi leaking to
4:44 am
the media in order to secure under fraudulent, fraudulent application, a fisa warrant in order to spy on a competing political parties candidate for president of the united states and the national left-wing media sees nothing. they say nothing. >> it is extraordinarily ridiculous and apparently they also did it again other american citizens. there was a circular creation of news stories through leaks that they didn't rely on to get the fisa warrants we know for sure against carter page. i wonder if they did the same thing against paul manafort. frankly, the entire spec or generals investigation should be shut down. lou: let me ask a question. where are the previous u.s.
4:45 am
attorneys to serve republican administrations. where are the previous attorney general who served previous republican presidents? where are they standing up for this president and against this kind of rank political corruption in two of the most important parts of our federal government that is the department of justice and the fbi. very quickly we are out of time. >> i don't know why more people are speaking out, lou. these groups run a mission to destroy this president. that is flat-out but they were. lou: as always, great to have you with us. inc. so much. up next commit united states taken a hard-line approach against north korea resuming military exercises with south korea general jack keane joins me here next. stay with us. stay with us. much more straight
