are growing to be a bigger graphic -- a gap between wealthy and poor in this country. that is also not true. it is only true if you don't count fringe benefits, all kinds of government benefits. if you've got total benefits and total worker compensation come at the gap between the wealthy and the less wealthy has shrunk not grown. that is a very good thing for the workers. by the way, the workers are free to buy stock in their own companies. why don't they take a chance? elizabeth: say i'm not for a second because often this analysis relies on irs tax returns they don't report 401(k)s, pensions, social security, fringe benefits, all sorts of government benefits. they don't show up and tax returns, but the left misleads the american people the status of income inequality.
