from house arrest after nearly two years of imprisonment. the pastor is wheelsup from turkey flying into germany for a medical checkup and flying into andrews air force base by noon tomorrow and heading to the white house. the trump administration not letting up on turkey. it has yet to say whether or not it will lift the sanctions against turkey that is slapped on that country for what happened with pastor brunson. the white house saying that moments ago. the move there, those sanctions did deepen financial turmoil in turkey, is t is on the brink of recession. the lira five times the central bank's target. interest rates up 25%. let's get to the next guest, steve hilton, the host of "the next revolution." steve, great to have. >> you great to be with you. liz: what do you think about the victory here? >> strength works, when you

kanye west. >> they literally can't face the fact this is an incredibly successful president. it totally undermines everything they've been saying from before the election, during and afterwards. this guy, this narcissistic dummy who can't understand policy and can't get anything done. any way you look at it is one of the most successful starts in presidential history. the accomplishments are across the board. the way he's changing the orientation of policy and areas of great results. trade is such a good example. on security too, and building up the military on. north korea. in each of these areas, what you're getting are sense of i think is incredibly clear and strong grip of policy from the president and his team. and, of course, all those who said he was basically an idiot, didn't understand anything, they can't bear to admit they're wrong. he's never going to get credit. but theacts don't lie, you look at the fact us and see the results. liz: you used the word

objectively, mainstream voters, you think the mainstream voter sees that? >> yes, because they are not just seeing it but experiencing it, they're experiencing it in their daily lives, and i think there's a lot more to come by the way, because we're just at the beginning of this economic renaissance. larry kudlow was talking about it this week, he put it simply. look, the war on business is over. the war on energy is over. the war on success is over. you had jerome powell, head of the chair of the fed saying it's not only the best economy in modern history but sees it going on for years. i think that more and more people are going to experience the concrete results, they're going to ignore all the ridiculous froth in the media and say it's working for me, i'm going to stick with it. liz: let's get back to turkey. a nato ally important u.s. military bases there, it is a significant player in that region. turkey now reportedly has shocking and gruesome evidence,

audio and video footage of "washington post" columnist jamal khashoggi being brutally tortured, murdered and dismembered by saudi assassins on his visit to the saudi embassy in istanbul. khashoggi lived in virginia under self-imposed exile. he was an outspoken reformer of the saudi regime. he was a critic of saudi arabia and the crown prince. your reaction to this story. >> you see the way the story is covered elsewhere and really revealed the corruption of the media. what they're immediately going to is to try to turn into anti-trump story, to say look at the president's business ties, look at jared's business ties, the way they're trying to work with saudi arabia. they don't care about the gruesome murder if that what it turns out to be. if you look at what the president has been saying repeatedly. tough on saudi arabia. this is not good, unacceptable,

they've been trying to get him out for a long time. reporter: [ inaudible ] that has nothing to do with anything. there was no deal made at all. there was no deal, but we're very happy to have him and have him in good shape. i hear he's in very good shape. liz: that was the president landing in cincinnati, ohio. steve, your reaction to what the president just said, no deal yet with turkey? >> i think it's completely in line with what we were discussing earlier. the strength he showed saying look, you're not going to get away with it, we're not going to negotiate or haggle. we're going to make you pay a price. this is the response. liz: back to the president. >> i think a lot of records are overlooked, if you look at iran and other countries. take a look at syria. you take a look at a lot of countries, countries's records have been overlooked, but this is a serious thing and looking at it in a very serious manner.

and we'll see. we have a big crowd. reporter: you talked to the king of saudi arabia? >> i have not. i will be calling king salman, you are right in the waive the camera behind you. i'm sure they think you're a very good looking guy, maybe not that good from the back, okay? go ahead. reporter: you plan to call him soon? >> i'll be speaking to him pretty soon. reporter: what will the conversation be like? >> i can't say. they're looking hard and fast, and not only us, a lot of people are looking to find out because it is potentially a really, really terrible situation. so we'll see what happens. reporter: jared developed such a close relationship -- was it a mistake for jared to develop such a close relationship? >> no, i don't know if it's different from other relationships that we've had. we have a lot of relationships with other countries, but this is a serious problem. thank you. reporter: the secretary to go

to the investment conference? >> i guess a lot of people are going to the investment conference. he actually called this morning and he will make that determination, but he was partially over there, anyway. a lot of people are going to the investment conference. we'll see what happens. maybe some won't be going. we'll make the determination very soon. okay? we'll see you at the rally. reporter: have you read the new climate report yet? liz: pick up where you left off with the president and the release of pastor brunson? >> yeah, it showed clearly that attitude of strength, what you're doing here is unacceptable and we're going to make you pay a price for it. we're not going to negotiate, not going to haggle. we're going to say this is unacceptable and put economic pressure on you to do something about it, and that -- we got the good result today. there was no deal. very strong words from the president on the saudi arabia situation. you've got the rest of the

media running around saying because they -- the saudis play for a floor of trump tower, he's going to be soft on the issue. that is clearly not what's going on. they are using anything they can to attack the president. i thought his remarks were very strong. liz: bringing up his son-in-law to go after the president. to your point, even former top diplomat john negroponte, he is a former trump official, he too, to your point, steve hilton, says saudi arabia should be careful. let's listen. >> we, and the rest of the world were so dependent on their production of oil, i think that's really diminished somewhat with the shale oil boom in the united states and perhaps we have a little more flexibility in our relationship with saudi arabia now. i think they got to be very careful what they do. liz: you see that angle the media is again missing, steve? he is saying that the u.s. is

becoming dominant in the production of oil. and that will put saudi arabia back on its back heels. your reaction to that? >> yes, and i think this is a huge part of the trump deregulation agenda that missed on the energy sector specifically and how that is contributing not just to lower energy costs which is good for the economy here, but from a national security standpoint, giving us the strategic power so we're not dependent on other countries for oil and gas whether that's saudi arabia or russia or whatever. it's a really important change unleashed by this administration because as larry kudlow was saying, the war on energy is over. liz: steve hilton, you are terrific. thank you so much for coming on. be sure to catch steve hilton's show, "the next revolution" sundays at 9:00 p.m. eastern time on fox news. moving to business headlines, ford sales in china plunging nearly 50% last year

than 1%, off the highs of the session but one day in the green. traders here saying they will take it. for the week as the markets still logging their worst week in seven months since march. a mixed picture for the financials after four key banks reported this morning, jpmorgan chase, citigroup and wells fargo. jpmorgan chase the only one of the four to exceed expectations on the top and the bottom line, that stock still closing lower by about 1%. faang stocks, tech stocks after being beaten down all week did rally on friday. the biggest part of the s&p 500, the weightiest, if you measure lie market cap. you had stocks such as netflix, apple, amazon, alphabet google closing higher on the session. of course, next week, all eyes on netflix with earnings out on tuesday. liz? back to you. liz: thanks, deirdre. thank you so much. former obama attorney general eric holder doubling down on

is something empowering about it. you have a prominent black celebrity alining himself with the president and there is something threatening about that. not just in terms of celebrity but race issues and seeing in polls where you have tons of hispanics supporting ted cruz, donald trump got more black votes than mitt romney. something people feel nervous about when people do not play the parts they're supposed to. liz: media attacks on kanye west. we've had violence extremism, right? the violence coming out of the mob mentality. we've had so much more going on. how does this play with mainstream america? >> i don't think it plays very well, to tell you the truth. i was struck by one person we haven't talked about, gotten no attention, sitting in the scene with kanye west and donald trump was jim brown. jim brown, who i watched growing up in cleveland, the greatest probably running back in the history of the game, sat there with dignity and silence but he was there because by and large he shares a lot of kanye

west's concerns, all right? and brown has tried to elevate many of the concerns. kanye west did it, and yet most of the liberal media simply will not talk about any of those subjects, and as mollie was suggesting, that is the nature of the politics we're in today. they're not going to debate conservatives about substance anymore, they're going to try to take them down in terms of personality, through mockery and ridicule. liz: trying to say he was off. are they doctors? can they diagnose him? kanye west father was a major photojournalist at the "atlanta journal-constitution" and his mother was a teacher. >> he is a rapper. a gift for words, a stream of consciousness, that' the way he talk. and the spectacle of them, like cnn saying it was a menstrual show or he's mentally ill is

. liz: reports coming in that the missing saudi columnist jamal khashoggi was wearing his apple watch in the istanbul consulate in turkey. saudi embassy before disappearing last week. this is leading to questions whether any location or health data has been recorded since he was announced missing. it's also been reported that his wife was sitting outside of the parking lot of that embassy holding his iphone. now, the white house is just today saying that the u.s. remains concerned about detention of other u.s. citizens in turkey and elsewhere in response to pastor brunson being released and whether or not the white house

said? forgive me, is that going to happen? >> five or ten percent to the downside, we head much higher as the economy is almost as good as it's been in the history of the united states. liz: great point, we're talking a correction if we're talking 5%, 10% to the downside. is that what you're seeing too, scott? >> definitely going to have hiccups. what do you think, scott? a correction? >> i think mike's right, and right too that managements ultimately win out, emac. the fed is a dove in hawk's clothing, saying this for a long time. the fed probably has one or two more interest rate hikes in it. if you see the economy show indications of slowing down, they're going to back off. not go too far, i think that could end up saving equities in the long run. liz: mike, do you think that the president should be going after the federal reserve here? it's kind of unheard of in u.s. hiory. >> no, especially because i think he's wrong. fed is doing him a favor.

i don't think it's the fed that's stupid, i think the people selling the stocks are stupid. liz: should he be lecturing the fed? some say many agree with him on wall street? >> i don't know how they can. it blurs the lines, emac. it calls into question the politics that the fed is trying to play or not play as it were, and you got to get rates back to normal. the economy is growing, 3 1/2, 4% now. going to do it again this quarter. to me, the fed is following the right playbook, you've got get rates back to a normal level and whether that terminal level is 3.75, 4%, 4.5. that's determined by data. that's where we should be. >> go ahead, michael lee. you think the upper half of 3.5, 4% on the rate? >> absolutely. scott hit the nail on the head right there, that what i'd also add to scott is as we're raising rates, doing a lot of help to savers, and people are going to see return on some
